Had a great experience here and it helped me de-stress and really work on any soreness I was experiencing. You'll also feel a sense of community with the other ladies in the classes. Solidarity! I wanted to like this place as the front desk person was very accommodative in signing me up and walking me through the different classes and that's why I have given one star. Class structure : They have Gentle, Moderate and Strong. Gentle is geared more towards seniors and thats okay. Moderate is more "intense" than "strong". There are very less variety of poses . Who wants to do a sitting version of "cat/cow" ? LoL. Having participated in both moderate and strong classes - Couldnt get much out of it. Teaching style : In every class its targeted towards the least common denominator. If you are looking to practice advanced variation of the poses ( Note the poses themselves are not properly sequenced ) look elsewhere. Now I found this very funny. Saying things like "connect to your inner center" - If I only could connect to my inner center I wouldnt be driving to this Yoga studio paying $15 per class. Lastly, I was about 2 mins late to a class and I was told "Sorry we are full and we dont have any other classes" for today. There was another empty studio and a teacher doing nothing. They should have accommodated me or offer a refund. Not acceptable. Bottomline : If you are new to Yoga and never stretched your body ever you may love this place. If you have done some Yoga and know about different styles of Yoga and sequences you will be sorely disappointed. read more

I tried yoga multiple times with a variety of instructors but did not get it. I found Zelinda 14 months ago and everything clicked. I feel so much healthier and have improved my strength, flexibility and overall well being 100%. As an older runner, I lack flexibility. And I am not particularly coordinated. At the recommendation of my son, I decided to try Yoga. I must admit that I started with a lot of skepticism and a thought that this would not a long-term activity. I always viewed Yoga as something for vegans who primarily wear hemp-based clothing. I have now been a customer for a bit over a year. I started with the a beginner's workshop, moved onto the all-you-can-yoga $10 pass, and attend once a week. I started with Hatha 1, but now usually go to Hatha 2 or Vinyesa Flow. It's a great workout, and definitely helps my flexibility and balance. I have never felt out of place or embarrassed, even when I mix up my right with my left, or fall on my rear end. Thankfully, this sort of thing happens with less frequency. I like all the instructors, and they are all helpful and open to questions. Lots of classes on different days at different times so I can still get a class in once a week, even when my schedule changes. read more

I love this place! I've had lower back pain for longer than I can remember and people would always tell me to try yoga. I would think about it then promptly do something else. It wasn't until after my spine doctor told me I couldn't have another steroid injection that I finally decided to find a yoga class. I can't believe I waited so long. I started with the beginner's series back in January and haven't looked back. The instructors are super helpful and ALWAYS check in with everyone at the beginning of every class and address those concerns with helpful poses. My husband and I have been frequenting The Yoga Room for the past couple of months and couldn't be happier. We have been doing a combination of Hatha and Slow Flow classes (I'm a little bummed that Hatha 2 was taken off the schedule for this season) and have seen a really nice increase in strength, flexibility and overall well being. Just wonderful! Today I came for a meditation workshop. I've already been to several yoga classes had love the small friendly environment that exists. Everyone works to get to know each new student, what issues if any they are working on, and make sure they know how to modify positions safely. Today's meditation workshop was one of their Saturday or Sunday extra offerings and this came at a great time. I'm looking forward to continuing my practice here and taking each class offered. One of these days I'll be back where I was when I started yoga in 1998, but I bet I'll safely and happily meet that level with the Yoga Room teachers! read more

The yoga room & the instructors offer SO MANY different styles/types of yoga & very helpful & accommodating to those of us (me) that need to modify poses in our (my) yoga practice. So if you're one of those people who say "oh I've tried yoga & didn't like it" I always say "that's because you've not found the kind of yoga that works for you" The new location on E. Palm Valley (I think its 503 E. Palm Valley? In RR) is SO easy to find. And the new studio is beautiful! I started with the yoga room in the beginner series in August. I was recovering from a foot surgery and my PT suggested it. I was nervous as I have never done yoga before and had no idea what I was doing. I had Adria as my teacher and she is just wonderful. After I finished the series I started to come to the Yoga room often. They have different levels of classes, beginner, moderate and hard. I do not have what would be considered a 'yogi body' I am not even that flexible. None of that matters at the yoga room. Everyone is very accepting and non judgmental. It's a very 'come as you are' place as it should be. I've taken different classes from different teachers. Everyone has their own style. I really like Asha and Adria but everyone is good in their own way. The unlimited option is a good deal if you can make it 3-4 times a week. They also do a lot of good workshops. read more

After we retired we relocated to Pflugerville, TX. I was extremely fortunate to find The Yoga Room in Round Rock within a month. Zelinda, the founder of The Yoga Room, is extremely passionate about serving her community. All I can say is wow. I took a class yesterday the Gentle class with instructor Zelinda. She took the time to ask everyone their name and what their problem areas were before we started the class. I left the class feeling relaxed and even met some new friends. Everyone was so welcoming. I have never taken a yoga class before but I've been doing asanas for over 20 years at home. I finally decided I might enjoy some more instruction particularly with the breath work and meditation side of yoga. I did not want a trendy, intimidating gym that called itself a yoga studio, I really wanted to learn more about the REST of yoga, not just the poses. So far, the Yoga Room is EXACTLY what I had in mind. The instructors, staff, and students are friendly, not competitive. The space is clean and bright and the schedule and payment options are great. I'm signed up for some of their short workshops coming up this month. I'm looking forward to those, and I will be sure to update this review once I've taken them. **** OK I've been going pretty regularly for awhile now and I still just LOVE this studio. I signed up for a beginner class taught by the wonderful Gabriela. This helped reassure me that I was doing the posses correctly and that I was ready to do regular classes. Gabriela is a wonderful teacher, very supportive and patient. I have since taken a variety of classes, Hatha 1, Vinyasa flow, slow flow, core power, and restorative. I love every single class and deeply appreciate each of the instructors. They are all fantastic! As much as I appreciate the classes and staff (including the very friendly, welcoming front desk staff) I also appreciate the people who practice at The Yoga Room. Everyone is friendly,and non judgmental. This is just a wonderful place. I highly recommend it if you have never taken yoga before but are hesitant to put yourself out there. I practice at the Yoga Room 5+ times a week, since July 2019, and I love the classes. All 16 of the regular instructors are marvelous, each with her individual style and wisdom. The wholesome, positive atmosphere is designed to appeal to everyone, though it seems too few men take advantage of it. I have really come to appreciate the Yoga Room. I started practicing yoga here when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I loved the community it built around pregnant mamas and the focus on health and well being. This summer, my daughter did the story time yoga workshop and loved it! It's great for all styles of yoga, from restorative and gentle, to a more intense class (strong). I have tried nearly all the teachers, but highly recommend Angela for gentle, Asha, LK and Cinzia if you want more of a challenge. On a business trip and made the hatha class in a beautiful sunny room on the second floor of a business building. I appreciated the YOGA flashing sign on the marquee to help me track it down. The instructor, warm and calm blond (can't remember her name, sorry!) had a very nice flow and demeanor. A lovely space that is isn't intimidatingly woo-woo. I was looking for somewhere to practice prenatal yoga, and I am so happy I tried out The Yoga Room! It is a small place, but the people are so friendly and welcoming! I didn't feel awkward or judged by the other classmates or the instructors. I felt very comfortable and free to do what I needed to enjoy my yoga session. I did the first week pass unlimited for 10$ and it is totally worth it. They not only have prenatal yoga, but they have gentle which focuses on stretching, and vinyasa flow or hatha for more strength focuses. The instructors will talk with you about what you're hoping to get out of your yoga and suggest which classes to take. Their prices are awesome too, you can pay for 1, 5 or 10 classes at a time or a month long unlimited pass for around 100$. Worth it! Super excited to keep coming here and learning more! Really disappointed in the lack of customer service. I took my first prenatal Yoga class here and absolutely loved it, Stacy was great. I was so excited to come back and was told on my original visit there were only two teachers who could modify the Yoga since I'm 6 mo. Pregnant. I Called this morning to confirm because according to the schedule I would only be able to make it to one class a week (Sat.) since I come from the arboretum area. The lady on the phone told me 4 different teachers so I then decided to come to the one at 5:30. Due to a road closure on Mays St. - down to one lane, I was 8 min. Late. The receptionist told me that she couldn't let me in after 5 minutes of class starting even after I had called beforehand and explained once again what happened when I got there. I drove almost an hour for nothing. I was excited that I had finally found a class I liked other than Bikram, but unfortunately with her lack of empathy and rude smirks I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I have taken a variety of yoga classes over the years at a number of different studios. None can compare with the superior level of high quality, individualized instruction -- even within the group class setting -- that The Yoga Room provides. This past year I developed adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder). Physical therapy only exacerbated the problem, but The Yoga Room put me on the road to complete recovery. In just a matter of weeks of consistent practice, I have experienced tremendous relief in my shoulder, improved range of motion, and better sleep. More importantly, thanks to the teaching staff's interest in helping me address this problem, I'm developing an awareness of how my shoulders function as part of the larger system of my entire body, and what I can do to reverse the situation and prevent future injuries. In addition to the physical improvements I'm experiencing, my time at The Yoga Room is helping me cultivate a deep sense of well-being that is benefiting every facet of my life.
