The small additional cost for unlimited use of these facilities is a huge bargain if you consider what it would cost to get Cryo treatments for example at a local shop. The gym is kept in good condition-equipment is repaired quickly and the locker rooms are very clean. This place is for you! What it is- hotworx in hutto has 8 sauna rooms and each room is designed to fit 3 people at a time. 4 of those rooms are dedicated to isometric workouts (these are 40 minute classes of yoga, barre, Pilates, core, glutes, warrior/intense yoga, and ISO/isometric) and the other 4 classes are for HIIT (2 spinning classes, rower, and assault bikes). The back portion of the gym is called their FX area, it has free weights, a bench, and some other gym items. There are 2 bathrooms and one has a shower for your convenience. The gym is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to get in you have to have an app with an entry code assigned specifically to you so I always feel very safe even when I'm alone in there. Yes, the rooms fit 3 people so theoretically you could have strangers in there with you but I have not once had to share a sauna room with someone else. I think everyone enjoys having their own space and even if someone did join in I wouldn't mind. Be prepared to sweat!!! The saunas go up to 130 degrees and though that sounds intense you'll get used to it and learn to love it. Membership is $59 a month for just the Hutto location or for $79 monthly you can workout at any Hotworx location and you get an online trainer and a diet tracker. You do need to purchase their mat and yoga towel- please do the Hotworx branded ones. I tried buying an extra towel on Amazon because I thought it would be the same and it's not the same grip. The scheduling for classes is super easy on the app. If you cancel a class or miss, no big whoop, no charge (ahem, looking at you OTF... $10 a cancellation? Yeah, no.) Schedule a free class! Our Year 2 Tiger-Rock Hutto Update!…read more We're officially heading into year two at Tiger-Rock Hutto, and watching our daughters journey has been nothing short of amazing. She's already working her way toward her brown belt, and we couldn't be more proud of how far she's come! When we started this journey, I knew Taekwondo would help her physically, but I didn't realize just how much it would impact her mentally and emotionally too. She is stronger, more disciplined, and more confident. I've watched her learn to speak up for herself, push through things that challenge her, and carry herself with a confidence that wasn't always there before. Seeing that growth as her mom has been one of my favorite parts of this entire experience. The competitions have also been such an important part of her development. They give her an opportunity to step outside of her comfort zone, apply what she's learning in class, and see where she can improve. Every competition has helped her sharpen her techniques, build confidence, and learn how to handle both wins and areas where she still has room to grow. She comes home each time stronger and motivated to keep getting better. I also want to personally recognize the Hatchetts. Going into a new place, I honestly worried about whether we would truly feel welcomed and like we belonged. Those worries didn't last long. They make a genuine effort to learn everyone's name, get to know the students and families, and build actual relationships. You never feel like you're just another customer. They know the kids, notice their progress, and take the time to recognize them when they're doing well. That means more than they probably realize. Overall, our experience with Tiger-Rock Hutto has been incredible. We've seen so much growth in Nyzhia, not just as a martial artist, but as a person. Tons of cardio machines ranging from treads to ellipticals to rowing machines. Bathrooms are relatively clean (as clean as a gym goes) and has a big sauna. My son does several paid activity classes during the week (music, gym, dance, etc.) - this is by far the best value for your money. You'll get music, teachers who have studied the curriculum and Montessori education, movement, language development, and a beautiful space for play and community after class. My son started at 11 months and I wish we started earlier! For weeks he just sat in our laps and listened most of the class. He seemed like he wasn't super excited but he was actually just slowly absorbing everything! It's now been four months and he gets so excited every time he hears music he starts dancing and smiling! We listen to all the songs in the car and someties at home and he's started singing along to several words from different songs. He even remembers which words/sounds are coming next - it's so adorable to hear him in the back of the car singing! Heartsong has been great for language development too - an unexpected plus! My son started saying words with difficult sounds (e.g., "car") that we hadn't heard as a babble sound or really used often and we figured out it's because the "ca"/"ka" sound is used in several songs we're singing this semester. Neat! I love that Heartsong follows the Music Together curriculum which means you do the same set of about 25 songs over the 10-week "semester" and then move to a different set. This allows time for the kids to get used to the sound of a song over the semester. The songs have been developed to help with language development (lots of different sounds), music development, and even self-regulation (slower/faster). I love that the teachers offer insights on why certain things they do help with development. The in-class experience will vary by teacher. Keep that in mind if you decide to do demo classes first.
