Went to this place in Phoenix and had so much fun and felt like the machines paid out well.. we decided to try the Lincoln store a couple times. This place is terrible. It is so expensive and you win nothing. The machines also randomly subtract points but you don't get a play session. I loved going to Round1 in Japan and imagine my surprise when I found out Nebraska had one! This is a Japanese arcade franchise that does little to change itself for the States except for menus in English. Several games are still in Japanese but intuitive enough to play regardless. Just had an unpleasant experience with one of the supervisors I explained how the wheel of fortune game malfunctioned & paid me 30 tickets for the letter "A" when the wheel came to rest on the letter "M" which should of awarded me over 1700 tickets but his answer was I can only refund your credit but can't do nothing on the tickets I abruptly said "no thanks" and walked off I would not advise ANYONE to go here beside the high cost of their food & overall poor service as far as keeping their overpriced games fixed and in working order....if I could give this place 0 stars I would read more

Love going here for the arcade games and claw machines. The staff is pretty friendly and the atmosphere is nice. It feels cleaner than a Dave and Buster's. I will say the claw machines can be a bit expensive on the credits side but the plushies and figurines that you can win are very good quality. I haven't had any with stitching issues. Bowling is also a little expensive although it's nice having everything under one roof (bowling, arcade, bollards, karaoke). Having a membership will help with the prices. Membership cards are $6 a year and if you plan on going maybe like once a month, I would sign up. read more

Wow, what a nice place! It's very clean. I was there right when they opened for the day, so it was pristine. Yes, it's a little pricey, but if I lived close enough to visit more frequently, I know there are perks to being a member through their app that would help with that. The claw machines were all quite difficult, which was what I expected, especially being there right as they opened. I did end up with maybe 2500 tickets to redeem. Their ticket prizes are "priced" quite a bit higher than what I feel like I've experienced at similar places such as Dave & Busters, Main Event & Great Wolf Lodge. But since I live hours away, I wanted to go ahead and redeem what I had earned for the day. I didn't necessarily find the employees to be all that friendly, although I didn't really have to interact with them much, mostly just the guy inthe "store" and he wasn't rude, but seemed a little like he's rather be anywhere but there. It's a stunning arcade though. It was so nice to be in an arcade that wasn't run down with broken machines, etc. read more

So, if you decide to set up a party with Round 1, get ready for the run around, being ignored, and terrible customer service. My family decided to have a party at Round 1 for a birthday and we were excited to do so! We'd been there before for the arcade and thought it would be fun to add in the bowling and billiards. When trying to set up the reservation, we were told it should be taken care of, but then someone called and said they needed paperwork signed. I went in to sign the paperwork and the party planner wasn't there. They had told us over the phone that anyone could help us with the reservation since it was set up online. No one knew where the paperwork was. No one knew about our reservation. Nothing! I spoke with a manager, Hannah Fay, and she was helpful and promised me that she would make sure a party planner would be there the next day. I made sure to call before I went out again and was informed the party planner would be there, and she was. Was able to get the paperwork completed. I thought after that was done, we would have no further problems. I was wrong. We get there at the time of the party with a 3 hour slot. I waited for someone to help me check in for 10 minutes. Apparently the party planner, a different one, was in charge of it. That 10 minutes went into our timeframe cutting down to under 3 hours of time. We had an all inclusive reservation for 15 people! 15! If you know their prices, that isn't a small dollar amount to spend. When checking in, they didn't even verify anything. Not the total amount of people. Not when we wanted our food. Nothing. We had requested a karaoke room for our base and then we didn't get the microphones. The person in charge of our food was kind and made sure that was done properly. The room didn't have a trash can or bag. We had to go ask for that. We had set times for billiards and bowling. They only gave us 4 sticks and 1 table. Again, total amount of 15 people. 4 sticks and 1 table sounds like it isn't going to cover that. There are 3 tables and the other 2 were not being used! I understand limitations but again, 15 people were in this party. When bowling came up, I had originally been told we would get 3 lanes. It was in the paperwork. They gave us 2 lanes. How many people were in the party again? 15. It is only 5 people per lane. Then, when one of the lanes got jammed, we requested help through the monitor and waited for 10 minutes and still had to get someone to fix it. When we only had 5 minutes left of play, they stopped the game. We were given the runaround in the beginning. We were ignored at the actual party. Not one manager came and asked us how things were. Not one employee truly even helped us, minus the man who was bringing us our food. Customer service was needed and we didn't receive it. This place now has a very bitter and sour taste to us and we honestly will never reserve a party or even come back for the arcade. read more

Manager was a complete jackass. They refused to sell us drinks without food then kicked us out when were were trying to use the points we won. What did we do that was so terrible to get kicked out? Opened a re-closable box of an item we fully intended to buy with the points. Instead of hearing us out about how we were going to purchase the item with the points the manager said it was not up to discussion and kicked us out. Worst service I've ever experienced and the games were in disrepair and some weren't even in English. Sent a message to corporate. This guy deserves to be fired and I'll let everyone I know not to go to this place. Huge arcade is a definite plus. The pricing was a bit confusing as it wasn't available anywhere online. We bought 2 club cards ($5 each) plus 70 minutes of play time ($10 each) for a total of $30. With the cards, you're only able to play games with the green pad. So no ticket games and limited arcade games. Our 7 year son was a bit disappointed to not be able to play the big arcade games he was used to playing at the amazing pizza machine or Dave and busters. On the bright side, pricing was cheaper than the places in Omaha, but the limited options were disappointing. Next time we go, we'll definitely get the credits to play games and see how that goes. read more

From my experience at round one it has been nothing but issues. from the staff not wanting to do their job and always waiting on management to even step onto the floor. Want to play arcade games? Oh you can't, why? because they're always broken or never working properly. the food and beverage area is never open the hours posted and you might get your food sent out wrong. Really no service when it comes to getting a drink at the bar when you're bowling. Someone will literally ignore you while you stand there and they aren't busy at all. Not the biggest arcade but does offer a good variety, didn't expect much but was really surprised and in a good way. The .99 ice cream was pretty big and a good cheap treat. The staff was friendly in the food booth and there was a lot of staff around the gaming area so if there was any issue you could easily find them. What I really enjoyed about this arcade is that everything was working maybe one or two games that were not working but everything else was amazing and taken are of and let's not forget clean. Only issue I had was the security lady that was there she was a little intense and just kept following people and overbearing, I understand it's their job to make sure everything is ok but it is an arcade no need to mean mug kids for being loud and stalk people trying to win prices on the machines. Other than that everything was great and they do offer an adult time after a certain time which I hope I can check out, sounds like a fun date or hangout with friends. Just a little thing I forgot to add, the arcade is actually connected to the mall so once you're done there you can go ahead and walk around or even more fun, have mom shop around and leave dad with the kids to have fun! read more

They ran out of ketchup They don't give free soda refills to the designated drivers. Every bar should give free non alcoholic drinks to the designated driver. Not only did I have to pay but I had to pay for my refills. That's insane. The cashier was a little salty when I asked about a free iced tea refill for me since I was the designated driver. My boyfriend and I made a day of road tripping to Lincoln for Round 1! We are huge fans of every kind of arcade, video, dancing, claw machine type games! This place is huuuuge, it was like dave and busters on steroids but a million times better! The food smelled amazing but we had grabbed lunch already, wish we were hungry to try it out! They had a huge classy bar, a very large bowling alley area. (not like a weird mini lane like amazing pizza machine lol) private karaoke rooms! This place wasnt over priced at all! There are levels of "game cards" for any price range! I was obsessed w the Japanese claw machines and the dancing games! We had a blast and it took our entire day, and when it was time to leave we were extremely bummed :( This place made us feel like little kids again but since we went during the day on a Friday there werent screaming kids everywhere which was absolutely amazing. I give this place an A+++++ for cleanliness, great customer service, and being able to provide an amazing time! We already have plans for our next trip to Lincoln just for Round 1 :) read more

Machines would take credits and not work. Shooting games that had guns, the guns would be broken. Ordered a gin, tonic, splash of OJ - paid for the drinks, guy went to make them, informs us they didn't have OJ and didn't offer to get us a different drink, instead he used pineapple juice and it tasted absolutely terrible. My wife and I took our kids here a couple weeks after they opened. It's new, so it is really clean and almost all the games were operational. We did both the pay as you go and "unlimited gameplay". As stated in another review, the unlimited gameplay is limited to certain machines. If you are a fan of Japanes arcade fighters, pinball, or some shooter and racing games, the unlimited is a pretty good deal. Keep in mind, you can't swipe the card within two minutes of your last swipe. The games were fun, bright, and loud. The staff were OK. We fell for the $1 ice cream cones because our kids wanted some. Do not get it! It's a trap. The ice cream was fine, but you get half a scoop. Seriously. I do not know how all their other entertainment options are, but for what we were able to do, it was fun and not bad price-wise. read more

At least some of the staff isn't trained very well. We went to bowl and all they did was repeat a few times there was an hour wait time. I finally had to ask what exactly is the process to get on the wait list. We signed up and went to play in the arcade area. Oh, and the hour wait wasn't over yet 1 hour 50 minutes later when we decided we needed to leave. At that point we asked how much longer and it was 15-30 more minutes. This is a poor man's D&B. Note that we have an 8 year old and a 5 YO, and it's possible they don't target kids at all. We were really looking forward to this place opening, but it hasn't lived up to expectations. The first couple times in they had people helping everywhere. Now it's hard to find someone when a game doesn't work, which is often. They also charge 8 credits for a new card to play games - That's a ripoff. The games are VERY expensive compared to competition and the tickets required to redeem for prizes is way out of line. The food is mediocre at best and takes a long time to prepare, which is odd as I'm sure it's all frozen. The ice cream is the only good value. When they first opened they had several of their main cranes with Yoshis and Marios. Now all but one of those is gone and they've all been replaced with anime toys. We have zero desire to win those. So between the broken games and the poor selection of crane games, this has really gone downhill. The bowling is decent and a good value, but there are better options for that in town too. In summary, it's a good concept, but poorly planned and poorly operated. We'll probably be back at some point for the bowling, but it won't be frequently and I'll try to steer the kids to other places where it's more affordable and the options are better. read more

The fries are really good! We also like the wings and the burgers, but the fries are awesome. They are fair game passes so you can play unlimited for an hour of specific types of games, but like any other entertainment center, it can get kind of pricey for the price games. Round1 is what would happen if Ja Rule and Billy McFarland opened a bowling alley. It's loud, it's obnoxious, and it's overpriced. The customer service is so bad. None of the employees would acknowledge me or answer my questions. I wondered if I had died on my way to Round1 and was roaming around an overpriced bowling alley as an incorporeal spirit. I was informed that it was going to take about two hours for a lane to open up. The idea of spending two hours inside the world's worst acid trip wasn't particularly appealing. At this point, I wasn't sure if I wanted to bowl or experience the sweet release of death. A bowling alley should not force me into an existential crisis.
