Wow! Appearances can be deceiving... and from the outside, you may not expect much, but once you get inside, there is quite a bit to look at! So right away, when I first walked in there was a guy who helped explain how things worked after I let him know it was my first time there. Basically, everything is priced with a date. The longer the item has been in the store the more potential wiggle room there is on the price. Also, some of the pieces have the original receipt so you can see exactly what was originally paid. Other times they'll call attention to specific pieces that are from well-known brands (such as Stressless). While i was there I found two Stressless Sofas. One was for $2,000 and the other was for $1,800. As another reviewer mentioned, they have some REALLY unique pieces. Overall, there's definitely a sense that they're selective about what they sell. And you will find well-knows brands such as Pottery Barn, Stressless, Ashley Furniture, etc. Used couch prices seemed to range from the $400 to $2,000 range. So if you're looking for that super bargain, unless you find a piece you can negotiate on you might be better off checking out the Thrift style store options. Since i was interested in a couch, this was were I spent most of the time, literally sitting and testing every one out. Personally, I found most of the ones I was interested in were a bit too worn-in or worn-out comfort wise. Though still comfortable and usable, there were some pieces I would have been interested in but some of the cushions were just a bit too used for my taste. So that feeling when you sit and one side of the cushion feels like it's struggling to support you... and at 135 lbs, there's not too much of me to support, lol. Delivery wise, I believe they said about $80 to have something delivered and I believe around $45 if you needed to have something delivered from your house to the store for consignment. I came in the end of Aug and they were about a week out on deliveries. Ultimately, I think they have a lot of great pieces that are priced fairly. And although I didn't see anything that struck me as amazing, I could tell that if you timed it right, you could probably score some really nice pieces here (but those are probably the ones that go fast). But between the excellent/friendly/helpful service, nice selection and good value, this is definitely a place worth checking out if you're considering some used furniture! read more

My husband found me this bed and it was perfect for our room. We went to Roundabouts when we first got into our new home and had so much fun shopping. I got several items and really loved the experience. Shopping here is fun and if you come back in a month the item might be a cheaper price, because they discount items the longer they're in the store. You can find all kinds of neat finds. I found some crazy cute chairs too for the kitchen. Definitely going to keep coming back here. Hubby likes when I find deals! We used Roundabouts for 3 projects: managing the contents of several storage units, moving into a new home, and consigning furniture. We could not have been happier with the outcome of all three projects. The We needed them to go to the storage units (while we were out of town) and determine what could be consigned, donated or disposed of. They arrived on time as requested, took care of all the contents, and provided an accounting of all items. We had them move us into our new home in Bend. We had to change the original move date, and they were able to accommodate that change. They first protected our floors and walls, then unloaded, and placed all our items from three different trucks. Additionally, they assembled several pieces of furniture (without manual instructions) and each item was perfectly put together. They were prompt, communicative, polite, knowledgeable, friendly and did not damage anything - and they had to navigate 3 flights of stairs! We had many items to consign and each piece was nicely displayed, properly priced, and sold well. They provided a check in the timeframe promised. What a gem of a used furniture store. Most items look to be in good to excellent condition, with a few being in "fair" condition and a few being "holy-crap-this-looks-brand-new." High quality pieces too (this is not Ikea furniture, folks!) and prices are reasonable given the quality. The style selection is pretty wide/diverse. Bought an awesome replica Eames chair and a unique leather+fabric Norwalk sofa for the living room. Gavin was a pleasure to work with and is very knowledgeable about the items in the shop, so don't hesitate to ask questions as you browse. An easy five stars. read more

Best place to consign your furniture and decorative pieces in Bend. Gavin is relatively new in town but he knows his stuff and makes the process so easy. We were selling our home and had to move some things out for the staging process. We emailed pics to Gavin and he immediately gave us his thoughts on which ones will sell and which ones will take time and which to just donate. At the beginning of the next week, he and his crew arrived and carefully loaded the truck and were out of here slick and without a hitch. Gavin's philosophy is that we could be as involved in our process as we wanted to be. We moved quite a few things to Roundabouts and trusted his judgement about pricing. His knowledge of furniture makes him an expert. Much to our surprise, our home sold very quickly after staging, and fortunately we found another home to buy. One item that had gone to Roundabouts would fit perfectly in the entryway of our new home...so we stopped by the store. No hassle, no questions. He said, "So you want to reclaim this bench?" We said, "Yes." He said, "Done," and took it to the car, all for a very small fee Our monthly payments for items has been spot on and timely. When we have more furniture to consign, we will definitely take a picture and E-mail Gavin as our first step. So much easier than Craig's list. I moved to Bend over the summer and was in need of furniture in my new home. After shopping around, my boyfriend and I eventually ended up at Roundabouts and I'm so glad we did. Gavin has an extensive knowledge of the pieces in the store and is clearly passionate about mid century furniture. We were in the market for a dining set and he led us to a solid maple table with 6 chairs and sold them to us at an unrivaled price. We are very happy with our purchase. I also really like the sliding scale pricing for items that have been there for a little while. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for home decor. I'm pretty impressed with Roundabouts. Excellent service. Nicest guy running the place who engages! Was very helpful tracking down what I was looking for, giving a little history on the piece, etc. This is good stuff in my book. Fairly large location, big well rounded selection, excellent prices. It was a fairly eclectic mix of furniture and accessories, the majority not high end, but a few real gems hidden here and there. Definitely worth a look when you are on the hunt for something. Sidenote is that there is a large inventory of chairs in a "loft" area above one of the showrooms. It's for employees only, but I'm guessing that if you had something in mind that they would gladly go up to check to see if they might have something that would fit the bill. read more

Gavin said he'd list our table at $200 to start and then it would be reduced over the next few weeks (as per normal) until it sold. We didn't hear from him for 2 months (as expected, because the table is quite eclectic), but when we finally did receive the check, to our surprise the table was sold for over 10% higher than he originally suggested. This demonstrates both integrity and salesmanship, which together are the value proposition upon which the entire concept of Consignment is based! (Oh and by the way, Gavin probably didn't really want to stage this table for us because his showroom is stocked with much better stuff, but he kindly agreed to after we bought a nice dining set from him that my wife loves - and this set was pennies on the dollar compared to retail, where we had shopped for months and never found this style she wanted, until now.) read more

Looks like Dwellings is now Roundabouts. Great name for a resale shop in a town that appears to be competing for first prize for the most roundabouts per square mile. The owner is this cool cat named Gavin. Nice guy who is knowledgeable about the items he's selling. He even said hello to me as I entered the shop. Some stores in town don't do that. Yea, it's a little thing but in the retail world it's a little thing that has a big imoact. Prices are clearly marked and very reasonable. All this place is missing is a shop dog.
