I have been going to Roundel Motor Werks for over 15 years, that says alot by itself. Roundel Motor Werks are the only place to take your car if it needs work. They specialize in German cars, BMW,Mini etc but they do all makes and models. i would say the only reason i would take my BMW to the STEALERSHIP is if i could walk home. I took my 2021...... 39,000 mile Mercedes GLA 250 in for a checkup and oil change. They hooked it up to their computer and found that it needed a new cylinder head. Tim called me to tell me about this. Estimated cost $10,000-$11,000. He suggested that I call M-B and see if it was under warranty. I did not have an extended warranty with them but called anyway. Found out that this is a special situation that is covered.....all parts and labor. I felt bad that I wasn't able to give Roundel any business so I texted Tim and told him to give me an oil change. He called me to say that an oil change will be part of the cylinder head replacement and that to do it through him would be a waste of my money. What a breath of fresh air this company is. I brought my e90 bmw in to have the passenger seat occupancy detector replaced. They found an oil gasket leak and a belt that needed to be replaced. After 3 days they called to tell me they broke the radiator and 2 hoses and needed to replace them for a fee of $1,000. On the 4th day they told me I could come pick up my car but they had the wrong part for my passenger seat and couldn't get it done. After $2,500 and 4 days without my car I picked it up without the work done that I brought it in for. When my car was finally returned I found used steel wool lodged inside my grill, the back corners of passenger seat leather were hanging off the seat, the side plastic on passenger seat not snapped into place properly, and my wire harness was flopping around under the hood instead of being secured like it was when I brought it to them. read more

Made appointment 2 wks ago to get 02 sensor repaired in my Mini Cooper today. Left car there at 8 am this morning. When I didn't hear from them by 3 pm, I called and was told they couldn't get to it today and needed to order the parts!! Thought they would've already ordered parts? Why not call me earlier and let me know they weren't going to do the repairs? I took a day off of work to get this done and Uber cost me $27 to get there and pick up my car. Expensive day and my car is still not fixed! They could've cared less attitude. I would not recommend this place. read more

I had my Mercedes GLE 350 serviced at Roindel. Much cheaper than the dealership and far superior service! I would highly recommend!

I had to have an emergency repair done because I lost all my lights (tail lights, brake lights, back up lights, headlights, etc.). To his credit Patrick gave me an appointment the same day. However, Patrick did not tell me that the repair was covered by an extended warranty. Had the repair been done by the dealer, the costs would have been paid by BMW. I have no problem with the quality of the work or the service, but I should have been told the work was covered by warranty. The cost of the repair was more than $1,000.00. read more

I have had been going to Roundel for a few years now on and off. I had not been in awhile but brought my car in because the check engine light had come on. When I got a call saying that my car had backfired due to a faulty ignition coil that was going to cost me $600 and an oil leak which would be another $600 m. I explained that I wanted to think about how to proceed, because the car may not be worth the repair. That's when I was informed of the $200 diagnostic fee which I had never been charged prior to this visit. I complained and got in reduced to $137, but still feel this is unfair since I was never charged this fee before and was not informed prior to dropping my car off that any fees had changed. read more

Competent and compassionate mechanic-- hard to find. We were on vacation with our baby and dog when our car's ac died in the middle of very hot and humid weather. Despite having other customers ahead of me, he helped immediately. Our car was fixed by early the next afternoon so we could actually take our six-month old and dog out to enjoy our vacation on the Cape. AC works great and he told us about an extended warranty out on the part that failed. I wish he had a shop closer to where we live. Good mechanics are hard to find. read more

I can't say enough about my experience with Pat or recommend him highly enough,especially for BMW owners. He really went above and beyond. Showing not only his professionalism, but also his expertise and breadth of experience with BMWs across generations. I called Pat out of the blue to see if he could inspect a car that I was looking to purchase at the BMW dealer in Cape Cod. Pat was able to arrange with them to inspect it the same day! He was extremely thorough in testing all components, running an alignment report, etc. Communication was fantastic, with follow-up calls right away so that I could get right back in touch with the dealer. He emailed me his report and alignment testing. Following the report and discussion with Pat, I not only felt confident going ahead with the purchase, but also was able to have the dealer replace the battery, perform a full realignment and update EMCs. Living on 'the Cape' can be great, except when it comes to finding a dedicated BMW service shop in the local area. No doubt there are great mechanics in the area, just none that have the level of brand specific expertise that ensures diagnosis, repair and advice is right, not just for your car, but for your BMW. Since being referred to Patrick, Roundel Motor Works has become my family's exclusive mechanic. I've had several repairs (starter, struts/shocks, etc.)and PM (fluids, alignment) work done to my late model 5 series, each experience was the same - excellent. I was lucky enough to see him work on my car several times and remained impressed by his discipline to approach diagnosis and repair in a methodical and thorough manner. Case in point, I'd had handling issues related to improper alignment and balancing, something other dealership and independent Bimmer shops could never resolve. After one visit, the car was put right with a 'simple' alignment bringing back the handling that I had been missing. After the repair, Patrick always 'walks' me through the work and invoice, providing me with specific advice to keep my car performing as intended, mile after mile. Super nice guy. I had 4 hour drive home when a check engine light came on and my Volvo was definitely not running right. Called Patrick who was willing to take a look at it, late in the day. very pleased... after getting an estimate from the dealer of $1100 with a warning that my problem may not be fixed for my steering issue, i contacted patrick via email. he asked a few questions, and then suggested he knew what the issue was, and if correct, an estimate less than half the dealer quote. scheduled the appointment, patrick obtained the suspect part in anticipation, and i was fixed in 90 minutes for exactly his estimate. wouldn't release the car to me until the steering wheel was perfectly aligned, as well. i will be back. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of having an alternator failure on my BMW while on Cape Cod. The repair was done expeditiously and at a good cost.
