Never been at salad bar that doesn't label the food. Hot bar is the same. No variety in the bakery dept. same old same old every day. The fried shrimp on Friday were so dry and overdone. Everything in the deli is chicken and red meat. Lazy store. read more

While I was shopping, my father's credit card he gave me to pay for our grocery's fell out of my pocket. I did not notice this until checkout. I went to customer service to see if they had it. They did, however they made it far more difficult than it needed to be to get it back. I told them the color of the card and the name on the card proving it's ours before they even showed me it to me and they still would not return it. I asked them to go on camera and they could see it that it fell out my pocket, that wasn't accepted. I asked if I could FaceTime him and he can show you his ID through the phone, that didn't work either. Forcing him to come to the store and obtain his hostage property. Luckily I had my own money to pay for my things and I did not have to wait on him. I understand it's "procedure" but I ask that Rouses looks into this policy. Imagine if this same situation happened to someone else and the card owner was gone for the week. That person who was given the card could have been relying on that grocery trip to feed them for the week while they were at work. Well now they are out of groceries and a card until the owner comes home a week later to pick it up. I know that's a fictional scenario but it definitely wouldn't look good for the company if that happened. read more

I wanted to love Rouse's, and I was excited when they came but I can't understand the layout. The store is too cluttered. So much easier to shop where there are neat rows. I can usually shop at a new store and find things pretty easily. I left the store today totally annoyed that I had to leave without about 5 everyday items in the grocery section. read more

Also lowest I could get. Twice I was ignored at the deli while the persons behind the counter talked. Then last night I wanted to purchase alcohol behind the front desk. He ignored me then when I finally said excuse me, he said in a minute, I finally left when he continued doing whatever he was doing. What is it with New Iberia ? read more

Rouses is a great place to shop but do not order delivery by Instacart or you will be sorry.

Really clean and a wide variety of products. They have pretty good sushi for a grocery store. And the bbq is better than some restaurants. A great change for New Iberia they made some of the other stores step up there game. Prices tend to be a little bit higher but the quality of the meat is far superior. read more

Couldn't get help in meat and seafood department. No one to help, so I bought pre packaged fish.

I gave one star because it was the lowest available. I went to Rouses in New Iberia and left without going all the way in. I DO NOT wear a mask ANYWHERE. Why? Because I DO NOT WANT TO! I am an American citizen! I live under the Constitution of the United States of American! I DO NOT live under the arbitrary rules of a tyrannical governor! And most certainly NOT the management of Rouses or the mask lady at the door! If I walk into a store without my face covered, I will not explain why and I will not be forced to cover my face. I DO NOT NEED ANYTHING AT ROUSE'S that I can't get somewhere else. There are several stores in town that respect my freedom that our ancestors have fought and died for. Since Rouse's doesn't give me that same respect, I will NOT be spending any more of my time or money there. My friend lives in New Iberia and always raves about Rouse's, but today I was in town and went with her. What a great grocery store! It was very clean and nicely arranged. My friend, my sister, and I all had plans to each find something for supper. My sister and I each got a crawfish pie. I liked mine but my sister really loved hers. I bought pico de gallo and some tortilla chips, which was delicious, and I have plenty left that I can take home with me tomorrow. My sister and I each bought a sushi roll as well, but we haven't been hungry enough yet to eat them. I almost bought buffalo chicken dip and celery, but I decided to stop going hog wild. I see now why this is my local friend's grocery store of choice and I now feel like we need to go there every time I come visit. I wish they'd put a Rouse's in northeast Louisiana. read more

Bought bought boiled shrimp and they were so over boiled we could hardly peel them and were over seasoned. Had to peel the shell in little pieces from each shrimp. Should've returned them but it was too close to closing for the nite. Also bought two seafood baked potatoes. Just couldn't find any seafood??? Not what we expected from Rouses!!!! read more
