I have been a patron of this establishment for a couple of years now, and have preferentially shopped here despite it being farther away from other liquor stores and our home. Tonight we came in to buy a few gifts for our friends. We provided our IDs as requested, however, mine was not accepted because it was a few weeks expired. I informed the lady that due to this global pandemic, Massachusetts extended the validity of drivers licenses and ID cards until September 2020, and even longer for those expiring later in the summer (extended to December 2020). The RMV is also "not providing updated credentials to reflect the extended date". This information is also readily available on the Massachusetts.gov website. Despite both of us being in our 30s, I asked if my significant other could purchase instead and I could wait outside, but we were still denied. We had to leave, run an errand, and then drive back just so that my significant other could re-enter the store, re-pick out the liquors again, and then purchase again. Overall, I think the store itself has a great selection, but the customer service really needs work-- very unfortunate for a promising business. Update: A manager reached out to discuss my experience at the store and I greatly appreciated this. I showed him a picture of what I was looking for and he said it is not available in store. When I told him it was available on the website, he informed me that the website has been making items available even though it is not.
