No. Apparently sometime yesterday a 4 year old Honda Certified car needed service NOW. Did they call me? No. Have they tried to call and explain or apologize since I walked out? Honda dealership that consists of a small outdoor lot, an indoor main display floor, and basement storage area. There's a financing arm on the second floor to help you close the deals. The manager there is definitely willing to get a deal done, he often circles up and you can bargain with them to a limited extent. I suspect that it's possibly better now with the economic downturn. They did offer me coffee/tea/hot chocolate, and when pizza came in for lunch, they were nice enough to give me a slice. And also they picked me up from a Newark train station when I didn't have a car available to come test drive a few different vehicles. Also relatively good internet unit - until after I bought the car, at which point the internet emails were less frequent. Only other thing of note was that their service building is separated by a few blocks back, a bit off Route 22 itself. They're expensive, but the standard Honda repair area, small hot drinks available and some snacks. They were fairly patient, and definitely try to direct you towards buying more vehicle that you really need at times, but they do back off if you know what you want to get. read more

While I was waiting, Ayisha (I'm sorry if I spelled your name wrong) spoke to me about their rewards program for their regular Honda customers..which was very informative; I will be signing up for it since I plan on staying with Honda for awhile. I didn't have to wait that long for the oil change..I also did observe that it wasn't as crowded/hectic today as it was last time which was great to see! Actually had a good experience at a dealership for the first time. Can't give them 5 stars because it still took multiple hours to get the deal finalized even though there was nothing more to do except go to the financing person but that seemed to take hours. And of course they tried to upsell and make some more money. Ended up Leasing a 2017 Civic and got a very good price. Started off at $2,000 down and $200 a month. Was able to get them down to $1,000 down and $160 a month. 3 year 36000 mile Lease. I also got them to include free roadside assistance and oil change and maintenance for the entire lease. read more

I sent this to the dealer manager ; Highly upset customer : Let me begin by saying that since the day I leased my vehicle there have been ongoing problems with the electrical, the speakers, and main panal. I've taken the car in many times and no one has been able to fix it . After living with it like this for several months I finally got fed up when the dashboard when out while I was driving down the GSP with my children in the car! I called and spoke with Mona the service advisor that has helped me in the past, she was accommodating and told me to bring in the car . Apparently, the manager that was assigned to my vehicle knew exactly what the problem was and was able to order the part. Once the part arrived, Mona called and told me I can bring it in whenever it works for me. I told her I would bring it in on Friday, since I was advised if I drop it off in the morning it would be ready the same day. A few minutes after the car was dropped off, I received a call that the vehicle would not be ready the same day and it would be ready the following day. I explained to the advisor that I was hosting my daughters party and 1pm on Saturday and I would not be available to pick up the car. I also explained that I needed the car by Saturday because that's the only vehicle I have available for my children. I need the car for the long holiday weekend and for school on Tuesday. I was assured that it would be ready on Saturday and it would likely be ready by 1pm. I asked if someone can drop the car off to me because as I stated earlier, I was hosting a birthday party in yard for my daughter and I couldn't really leave the party. They said they could not take two people off "the line" to bring me my car (I live 2 miles away). I said fine, once the shop is closed maybe someone can bring me the car . They said they wouldn't be able to make that decision until Saturday and that I should call back and speak with the manager . I was given the managers name and extension. I called several times , with no answer therefore, I left a message . I called the main number 3 times and spoke to a representative,I left 3 messages and they said they would call the service department . No one called me back, I called all day long, with no response. I wasn't even offered a loaner car ! Now I'm stuck on a LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND with 2 kids, that had plans to visit family for my daughters birthday . They have school on Tuesday and I don't even have a car to take them to school !!!! I have to borrow a car and car seats to take them to school. To say that I am upset about this matter is an understatement !!!!! I'm disgusted with the "customer service " that Rt 22 Honda has "provided" me ! This is unacceptable . I have been very understanding up to this point but this is where my patience ends . I can't understand how someone who's lease is up in a couple of months would be treated like this. Do you not need the business ? I was warned about rt22 honda but I gave you a shot and now i know I made a mistake ! I purchased a vehicle in February 2023. My vehicle started having issues within a day or two of me having the vehicle. I reported the issue soon as I heard the noise from the engine and went in for service when they told me that I would have to come out of pocket to pay for these issues. Even though I had a warranty, I try reporting it to lemon law, but being that I did not sign the contract and my signature was forge on all documents, except 2 documents which was only for a care plan. When I was at the dealership I was given a different price that was on the contract ask for documents such as the contract , I was told that it would be sent to me 2 weeks before billing (being that this was my first time purchasing a vehicle). I didnt know as time when time went past, and I didnt receive it in the mail. I went back and asked them for the contract. Finally I was told that some cars can be a lemon and (I forgot to mention that this is a certified vehicle ). I was seeking help to a lemon law lawyer, but then I was told that I have to seek for a criminal lawyer, because this is no longer considered just limit it is considered a fraud case . After receiving some of the copies of my contract, I later learned that it was forged signatures,. , finally I told him that I had hire a attorney and was seeking my contract when I was given my contract it was forge signature. When I seen the financial manager he told me sometimes they have the signed documents if you are not present. And he stated because my vehicle is not working properly that one out of **** cars can have issues. Now Im in the process of hiring a lawyer read more

I just had an extraordinarily frustrating experience having the airbag in my Honda Pilot replaced at Route 22 Honda Service Center. When I made the appointment, I said I needed to have my key fob replaced, and the phone rep assured me that could be done at the same time. 1. The Service Center is not located at the Dealership of the same name -- something they don't tell you when you make an appointment. 2. I made an appointment for 11:40 am and was told the service would take about an hour. It was not completed until well over three hours later. 3. The man who did the intake process told us to go into the waiting area and our name would be called. It never was. 4. After an hour and a half, I checked in with the receptionist. She said she would get information from Paul, the service manager. She returned after several minutes to tell me that the entire service operation shuts down between the hours of 1-2 pm for lunch -- something they do not tell you upfront. 4. Of course, Paul (like everyone else) was at lunch. The receptionist promised she would get information as soon as Paul returned. When the service staff began to file back in, the receptionist left. Apparently her shift was over, and she did not share any information about my situation with her replacement. 5. The new receptionist eventually tracked down Paul, who said that it would take 60-90 minutes to finish our car and that the key fob was backordered for at least a few weeks and would cost more than $250. 6. I asked if we could just take our car, because I could not afford to waste any more time. (My phone had died in the two-plus hours I had already been waiting, so I could not even reschedule the plans that this fiasco had disrupted.). Paul said no, they had already dismantled the airbag. 7. I left my husband at the service center and walked to a Walgreen's around the corner to buy a phone charger ($30+). When I came back -- about 20 minutes after we had last spoken with Paul, my husband was out front and said that the service had been completed. So, 3+ hours and $30+ wasted just to get something replaced that was Honda's fault in the first place. read more

My experience with Route 22 Honda was excellent!! I went through the pre-approval process on their website through Capitol One. I was pre-approved and emailed a document with the information. I called the dealership the next day, got an appointment for 45 minutes from my call and went in. Ryan was my sales associate. I had anticipated this process to be extremely long but it wasn't. Ryan took care of all of the paperwork process except financing. The time with Ryan took about 90 minutes including the test drive. Then it was time for financing. This was the only drawback to the whole process. I ended up waiting about 90 minutes and no one came out to check on me. However, once I was in the finance office, this process was extremely smooth.
