The produce is top notch, the quality of all their products are the best...you literally can blindly pick something and know it's going to be real ingredients and taste great. They have a very nice consistency, more on the juice side than a thick smoothie. They serve items from the Sisters Bakery, if you know, you know! I would have loved to actually shop here and support local but as soon as we parked our Rv in an empty lot next to the store we were greeted with a small blonde angry man rolling his eyes and shaking his head at us for parking there. So we asked him if there was a problem and be said "is this your land?" And my reply was no but it looks like it can be parking for larger vehicles for patrons of the store is that ok if we go inside the store to spend money he says yes in some weird attitude and we went in....I wasn't feeling it as this a-hole was the cook there so I grabbed two tangerines and left. Had an incredible experience here! The customer service is exceptional and the produce/sandwiches are off the chart! I always look for a good sandwich when I visit places and let me tell you - this place has it! The tomato's are crazy fresh, along with the bell peppers. Ive had the turkey sandwich (what's pictured) and the tuna and they were both amazing! My dad got their Manhattan Clam Chowder soup and couldn't stop raving about it. Schoolhouse Produce is undoubtedly the best small business in Redmond. The owner is so kind and puts a lot of thought and effort into supporting other small, local businesses in her shop. The lunch options are always delicious, the chickpea and turkey sandwiches are my favorite! Every time I've been in, the employees seem excited to be there, and are incredibly helpful, even offering free samples of soup, house made hummus, or whatever produce is new that day! This is the place to load up on all things FRESH and LOCAL. The fruits and vegetables are so juicy and flavorful! So many awesome things to choose from and the best quality in Redmond. The owners are so awesome and usually have something new for you to sample. They also have amazing daily soup and smoothies and their homemade almond pesto is the best! Bad experience! The owner was rude, did not stand behind her product or her employee. I was told over the phone that I could exchange a jar of local honey that I had purchased 10 minutes prior because It was bad. When I arrived to do so I was greeted by the owner who said "I'm not taking that back I will lose $18". She snapped at her employee saying "you shouldn't have told her she could return it". She then suggested methods to attempt to revive the honey which I declined and she stated "you need to listen to me and just do what I told you". Perhaps she was having a bad day? I love this place and wish there was one in the bay area. I stopped in for the Komubcha as they have a great selection on tap. The watermelon was divine! I love the fact they have a nice selection of organic produce coffee, and snacks, PLUS they sell amazing handcrafted soap from the Bend Soap Co and Farmhouse candles in a wide variety of amazing scents. I could not be more happy with this little gem. All of the produce looks amazing. Danny's Oranges are the best oranges you can buy in Central Oregon. Avocado's and Limes are priced better and better quality that at FM. During this Covid-19 crisis, we can find products at School House that we cannot get at FM. Plenty of great quality gluten free options. Wonderful local offerings. Variety is remarkable for a tiny shop. Staff treats you like family. read more

This is a great place to get your produce. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They have high standards for what they sell and you can taste and see it. You'll find local and organic items as their preference. The few times I've had a less than great item, they've bent over backward to make it right. They may not have a full selection of produce all the time, but that's probably because it's not fully in season or didn't meet their exacting standards. I have ventured into school house a few times, and have always been impressed with the customer service and the unique items offered. Today however stood out to me so much, that I had to write this review. I went in, ravenous, and quickly realized that the smoothies and juices I usually love had ingredients that I currently cannot eat (nothing bad in them at all, just apple juice but I can't do sugar at the moment) but the guy was so determined to feed me that he referred me to the coconut paleo wraps and some super delicious goat cheese, and made me a unique wrap, strictly in line with my dietary restrictions, just so that I could still eat there. Super impressed with the "I'll find something to feed you" attitude. Today's experience makes me want to come back more and more. Support local! read more

Discovered this little gem the other day. Recently moved to Redmond from Camas Washington where I frequented Camas Produce and had really missed that great little produce market. Schoolhouse Produce was the most pleasant surprise! The ladies running it were so sweet and friendly. The produce is all gorgeous and I love that they have many local products as well. I have been in to Schoolhouse several times recently, and have had a very good customer service experience. Jane, who I assume is the "old lady" mentioned in other reviews, is consistently informative, friendly, and strikes me as passionate about the produce and goods carried at the store. Also, she does not appear "old" to me, which I will attribute to all of that quality food she probably consumes. The younger man (who I think may actually be the owner now with his wife?) asks me each time if he can help me find anything, or answer any questions, as well as thanks me for my business - I appreciate that. If you care about your food, tend to seek out organics, and try to buy as many things locally as possible, then this is a great place for you. However, if you are accustomed to buying produce/meat/dairy at big-box stores from people who are completely disconnected from the food they sell, then this small business may be a new and/or different experience for you. read more

What a great find for me! I stumbled upon this business on Yelp and I loved it! Not only does it have great smoothies but as someone that enjoys cooking Paleo or organic- this place is well worth it. Homemade soups, fresh meat, and a great selection of fruits, honey I bought a vanilla fig balsamic vinaigrette from here and it was so delicious on most anything. The first time I stopped by Schoolhouse, I had a list of, slightly unique veggies that I wanted to buy for a roasted veggie medley I had planned to make. I didn't want to make multiple stops so I stopped here, hoping I could grab everything on my list. That turned out to not be the case as they didn't have parsnips at the time. Oh well. Along with the veggies I also picked up some fruit and a couple of specialty items that they carry. Unfortunately, the veggies were only so-so in quality and some of the fruit down right not edible. Mushy and tasteless apples, anyone? I was so disappointed! Due to their higher prices for being a local specialty store and the fact that I don't have money to burn, I have not been back for produce. That said, I do like the specialty items they carry. They did stop carrying my Inspired Leaf tea, so that sucks, but I do love that they carry Strictly Organic coffee and have stopped by a few times just for that. I wish I could give a higher review because I love supporting our local economy and the couple that owns the store is absolutely lovely. Very friendly and very eager to help. read more
