Mike Cento is a true craftsman. He took 2 pairs of shoes, resoled them, cleaned them up, polished…read morethem, etc., and now they are like new shoes. One of the pairs, my Footjoy Classics Spikeless, stopped being produced in 2009 so I wasn't sure how difficult of a project this might be for Mike. Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Mike took a pair of shoes that were literally falling apart and brought them back to life, even better than before. These Footjoys look better than anything Footjoy sells these days! Mike did such a great job that I dropped off another pair when I picked up my last 2 pair. And I have about 3 more pairs of shoes that are in need of being recrafted, Cento Shoes will be wear I am taking them. The price is right at Cento Shoes and they carry all the good and necessary shoe care products to keep your shoes in great shape and well nourished. Jennifer who works in the front of the house is just amazing and super kind. She got me taken care of in no time and while I was there picking up my shoes I got some new socks and shoe care accessories too. It is a small shop with narrow aisles and lots of "guy" things. Some hats and clothing, some shaving accessories, sports items, wine and beer themed items, and a few "naughty" ones. There isn't a lot of room to get around especially if someone is blocking the aisle. And each section is loaded with so much stuff that it takes awhile to view it all. But it does have items you won't find elsewhere in Nashville, so if you are looking for something different, stop by. Note: The building is up for auction at the end of Oct'19. I didn't think we had a great store like that around, was going to try brands I liked that I knew they carried. I was so wrong! This place was far and above my expectations and exactly what the article mentioned. I spoke to a gal that was extremely knowledgeable about the two brands (Hoka and Brooks) that I was interested in. I explained what I wanted/needed, she made a few recommendations. I made the selections and she brought out several pairs of each. She had me sit and actually put the shoes on my feet! Made sure they were the proper fit, laced them up and had me walk around the store. It was incredible, I was over the moon with the store/clerk and the shoes were epic. It has been 4 months and the shoes rocked the 5k and are now my daily shoes.
