Some things are vintage and one-of-a-kind, and somethings are boutique finds with multiples in store. The clothes and jewelry are my favorite. My handicapped wife asked where the restroom is and was told "we don't have a restroom." Really? We ended up leaving the store without looking around any further and didn't buy anything at all. I don't understand how they can expect customers to leave and go to Caseys and then come back to continue shopping. Having a restroom keeps people in the store and cleaning it is just part doing business. Open your restrooms!!!

This is a chain that buys customer returns and end-of-season items and sells them at a discount. Think Amazon returns, overstock or out of season Target items, etc. Then, everything is dumped into bins for folks to look through: it's not even sorted into "soft" and "hard" like at the Goodwill bins. But the perk is, everything is new with tags / barely used! The pricing is unique - it goes: $10 Fridays $7 Saturdays $5 Sundays $3 Mondays $2 Tuesdays $1 Wednesdays 25c Thursdays We came on a Sunday and found a few items: an electric beard trimmer, a plant pot, an outdoor rug, Duke Cannon soap. However, I would say if I were to come back, I'd probably come on either $10 Friday hoping for a bigger ticket item, or on Tuesday/Wednesday because most stuff just wasn't worth $5. Lots of plastic items, cheap items and felt too small/cheap for $5. There were lots of clothes, but they were mixed in with the hard goods so hard to go through, and most were Target or Amazon brands so didn't see much value in going through them on $5 day - for me at least. If you're looking for kids toys and stuff, household decor and trinkets, acrylic organizers, and gifts - this is a great place to stock up on the cheaper days! Super interesting to look through. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, but very interesting!

You can spend hours sifting through the vintage goods! The store is huge and the prices are very responsible! Compared to other cities! They will also rent you costumes! Atomic Garage is an amazing vintage clothing and vintage store in the trendy area in Des Moines... the owner/manager is super chill and a fun person who takes her vintage clothes seriously. Their selection is awesome and reasonably priced for how rare some of it is. It's definitely a great place to stop in when you're in town... and an even better place to stop in when you need a badass outfit to go to a formal event with. It's super well organized and just an overall fun store to walk around. The only reason I took a star off is because some of the stuff isn't for sale. It's only for rent... and that disappointed me. I don't live in town, so I couldn't rent the incredible options of suits/tuxedos that they sell there.

Amazing people and items! went there with my dad and sister to go look at antiques, found a…read morebeautiful spring bunny rabbit porcelain set, but it was being sold for $40 (amazing prices!) with about 5 pieces, I didn't have $40 but I really wanted one of the mugs, the nice lady behind the counter told me she cannot sell me just one because people pick and choose and leave her stuck, but, as I was leaving, she asked me which one I even wanted, and she told me; "meh, you seem like a good kid, $10." and it made me feel more valued than any other point that day, that is my favorite thing I got on that trip for no other reason than the sheer sentimental value it holds, amazing place, amazing prices, amazing people.

Ingersoll Avenue is such a great visit, and Tandem is one of the must-stops.

I went back a second time to have another print framed but when I went to pick it up, was dismayed to see that it didn't come out as I had envisioned. Without hesitation, Josh listened to what I was unhappy about, we picked out new materials, and when I picked it up the second time, it was exactly as I had envisioned, no extra charge. While there, I also picked up a few unique gifts. Only complaint is parking can be challenging but this will be my go-to place for anything I need framed.
