The views from the back of the lodge are breathtaking. There is an area where wedding ceremonies take place that looks out into the beautiful mountains. It really is gorgeous. The main hall is a nice size. You can easily fit 150 probably up to 250. I am not sure what the actual limit is. Or friend's wedding had just over 100 and there was a ton of room. During the rehearsal (3pm) and on the night of the wedding, there were deer that came down into the fields....so beautiful. The staff said they deer are regularly there every afternoon. The Food Our friend's wedding was buffet style and the food was good. We had a chicken Alfredo pasta, salad, mac and cheese, and bread service. There was a cash-only bar that according to my wife, had good drinks. The Staff The only member of the staff that I worked with was Linda. She was amazing and was so patient with our party. I believe she is one of the head members at the Elk's club, and she really just tried to make the best out of every situation on the day of the wedding. We had a few schedule issues that came up and she did great working with all the different personalities. Overall, depending on the vibe you are looking for with your event, the Elks Lodge is a good choice. There is a ton of parking, the offer food and all of the table and chair rentals are included.

I use each wedge (50, 54, 60-degree) almost equally in what on a fast day is a 30-40 minute round or a 60-minute one on a slow day. Major negatives are the cost and green/tee conditions. At $20 for nine holes and $5 more for replay for adults (June 2025), I expected somewhat nicer tee boxes and greens. Tee boxes are chewed up and/or produce uneven lies. I visited Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff recently to check out some of the new additions and…read morerenovations that have been done over the past few years. The last time I was here was well over ten years ago. I have been a huge astronomy nerd since I was a kid. This place has changed so much since I last came here. They did an impressive job with the expansion and upgrades. We enjoyed exploring the Discovery Center and walking on the outdoor pathway to the telescopes. Lowell Observatory is one of the oldest observatories in the U.S. and was founded by astronomer Percival Lowell. It was at Lowell that American astronomer and telescope maker Clyde Tombaugh discovered the dwarf planet Pluto in 1930. The original telescope (called an astrograph) that he used is still here at Lowell Observatory and you can check it out while exploring this place. We came here in the evening and enjoyed walking around under the stars. There is a Mars Rover parked outside that greets you when you enter. The new Marley Foundation Astronomy Discovery Center is three levels and has a gift shop and a cafe. On the roof is the open-air Dark Sky Planetarium that offers a 360-degree view of the night sky. There are games, activities and science exhibits in the Discovery Center for both kids and adults. After spending some time here, we went outside to check out the telescopes. The walking path around Lowell Observatory is my favorite part. The outdoor pathway is illuminated by glow-in-the-dark art depicting the Pleiades, comets and the Milky Way. We walked over to the Giovale Open Deck Observatory first. It was too cloudy to see anything through the telescopes on the evening that we were here. So we headed over to the dome that houses the Pluto Discovery Telescope. They have renovated this telescope since I was last here. It got a paint job and looks nicer. It was really cool to be in the same spot where history was made a hundred years ago. I highly recommend checking Lowell Observatory. I am biased because I am a huge science nerd. But they really did do a nice job with the new upgrades. Come here at night when you can gaze at the stars.

We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor exhibits, especially sun viewing through telescope, walking the scaled galaxy walk and the dome telescope where Pluto was discovered. We came back at night for stargazing . Such a wonderful experience. It gets cold so wear jackets and layers at night. They had glow in dark paths to illuminate walking. And sky viewing was magical!! There were multiple telescopes through which we saw stars, galaxies, star clusters. Even the observatory helpers had a laser pointer to point out constellations. All the stars for this observatory! Must visit while in Arizona to learn about our universe

We packed our bags and headed up to Flagstaff for some reprieve. A little nervous taking our 2 year old but based on the reviews, we took a chance. I'm beyond grateful we did. Our hotel room was exactly what we needed, two beds, plenty of space, updated, mini fridge, mini microwave, bathtub to bathe little, super comfy beds and blackout shades to get some well deserved rest (if you have kids - you know). We only checked out the restaurant for breakfast and it was okay - nothing amazing but also not bad. The waitstaff were very pleasant and timely. The amenities are what really stole the show. The park was actually perfect for our toddler to run around, get dirty and make some new friends. It's well designed to accommodate kids of all ages and actually entertained me as mom too. We met plenty of other parents there with their littles which made it that much better. We planned to check out the pool but our son was on explorer mode so the trails, basketball court and park took up his time. The only downside to our stay, was that our bathtub drain was clogged so our showers were so fun with standing water up to our ankles. We did call a few times but no one ever came to fix it (maintenance was tied up with the pool I later heard and it was a holiday weekend so maybe they were short staffed). I called and spoke with the front desk who offered us a comp toward our bill for the inconvenience which was appreciated. Overall we had a lovely stay and plan to return in the winter for their Christmas festivities.

In the Red Barn, the Sage's, thus the name of the farm, host house concerts and exclusive private events for friends of Golden Sage Farm. The barn is such an intimate venue and seeing the first performance of the season, the Cary Morin Duo, which was so enjoyable, we cannot wait for their May event starring Kirk James! All proceeds go to the musicians and the shows are run by volunteers. Check out their website for their event lineup! You BYO beverages and snacks! We love that there is absolutely no smoking on the premises and that they aim for zero trash! There are horseshoe pits and a pool table to enjoy after the show! This little private concert venue has won our hearts and we look forward to our next visit!

However, as soon as you walk in, the space was transformed into this beautiful ceremony space. I was pleasantly surprised! It's very clean, with a kitchen bar type area that food can be served. The restrooms were clean and had good space to work for all types of folks. I would say the building, inner space and restrooms are handicap accessible as well. The lighting was great too. Overall I am very impressed, and would use this location for my own needs one day. I would recommend it.
