We decided last minute on the Friday before the 4th of July that we indeed could not bare the heat any longer in Phoenix so my husband called Little America to see if they had any rooms, thankfully they did. We packed our bags and headed up to Flagstaff for some reprieve. A little nervous taking our 2 year old but based on the reviews, we took a chance. I'm beyond grateful we did. Our hotel room was exactly what we needed, two beds, plenty of space, updated, mini fridge, mini microwave, bathtub to bathe little, super comfy beds and blackout shades to get some well deserved rest (if you have kids - you know). We only checked out the restaurant for breakfast and it was okay - nothing amazing but also not bad. The waitstaff were very pleasant and timely. The amenities are what really stole the show. The park was actually perfect for our toddler to run around, get dirty and make some new friends. It's well designed to accommodate kids of all ages and actually entertained me as mom too. We met plenty of other parents there with their littles which made it that much better. We planned to check out the pool but our son was on explorer mode so the trails, basketball court and park took up his time. The only downside to our stay, was that our bathtub drain was clogged so our showers were so fun with standing water up to our ankles. We did call a few times but no one ever came to fix it (maintenance was tied up with the pool I later heard and it was a holiday weekend so maybe they were short staffed). I called and spoke with the front desk who offered us a comp toward our bill for the inconvenience which was appreciated. Overall we had a lovely stay and plan to return in the winter for their Christmas festivities. read more

My overall rating for Little America Hotel Flagstaff is 3 stars. I want to start by saying that overall, many of the staff were kind, and I've stayed at this property multiple times before with good experiences. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds and pillows are amazing, and the views of the Coconino Forest are beautiful. I also really enjoy the heated pool, the walking trails, and how convenient the location is to nearby stores, gas stations, food, and the highway. However, this stay started off on a rough note during check-in and unfortunately impacted my overall experience. When I approached the front desk, the representative (I believe his name was Hudson) had just been warm and friendly with the guests ahead of me. But when it was my turn, his entire demeanor shifted. I greeted him politely, introduced myself, and asked how he was doing--he didn't acknowledge my greeting at all. He became very robotic, avoided eye contact, and rushed through the process in a way that felt uncomfortable and dismissive. The interaction continued to feel tense. He spoke quickly, made assumptions about my payment method, and presented documents to sign without explanation or engagement. The only time he made eye contact was when emphasizing rules about no smoking and no pets. I had previously called to confirm that I could bring my cat, who is an emotional support animal, and was told that would be allowed with documentation. When I explained this, he became agitated and insisted I must have spoken to a third party, implying the information I received wasn't valid. After requesting a manager, the situation shifted, and I was eventually allowed to proceed with a one-time fee instead of a nightly charge. However, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable. What made this experience more concerning was something I observed after checking in. When I connected to the TV system, I noticed that one of the device names visible on the network included a racial slur. Guests do not have the ability to rename these TVs--they are pre-programmed--so this is something that had to come from within the organization. That was extremely upsetting and unacceptable to see in a professional environment. It's 2026, and people are still out here using racial slurs, spreading hate instead of love and kindness. I'm not interested in being in environments that feel stuck in the past. I want to be around warm, welcoming, modern people who choose unity over division. This is the main reason I cannot rate this stay higher. While I understand that not everyone reflects this behavior, it raises serious concerns about oversight and accountability. Management should be more attentive to what is happening within their establishment, especially when it comes to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all guests. It's disappointing because I've enjoyed staying here in the past. However, based on this experience, I don't feel comfortable returning and will choose to spend my money elsewhere moving forward. read more

This place was really cool on the inside. We arrived here and I was a little thrown off by the outside of the building. But once you step inside, you're transformed! The room was quite spacious and the bathroom was huge!! They had a cool "makeup mirror" all zoomed in! And a steamer for your wrinkled clothes. The room amenities were quite nice. Wifi was free, the safe was inside a drawer and the fridge reminded me of some Austin powers type stuff. The fridge was built into the drawer.. it was the drawer!! This place was great! We had an issue with the drain on the tub, and maintenance gentleman was there within 10 mins to fix the issue! They have a cool lobby and gift shop! They also have a restaurant on site, but we didn't go to it. We will have to next time for sure! This would have been 5 stars for me, but the shampoo and body wash dispensers were completely empty. It wasn't a flawless visit, if it was it would be 5stars no doubt! The checkout process was quite nice, you can checkout on the room TV and just leave your room keys in the bedroom. In planning a trip to Flagstaff it took me a few searches before I selected this hotel. I was very happy that I found a short video of the room to get a good visual. Upon arriving the parking lot look full, but it wasn't too bad. Check-in was super easy since the hotel sends a pre-check bia text hours before arrival time. I just needed to give a card for incidentals to the front desk and then I received my room keys. I arrived at 10:30am and it was really cool that they had my room ready. The building my room was in was right outside next to the main hotel entrance so it was a short drive. Upon entry to the room it was very clean and looked inviting. The bathroom was clean also. I appreciated that there was only an area rug in the room and not wall-to-wall carpet. It could use a shampoo, but that was me looking really close. The bathroom was updated really nicely. Probably once of the nicest hotel bathrooms I've been in. There was no fridge but at least there was a microwave :) The bedding smelled so fresh. I don't think I can recall a time of staying in a hotel and I could smell fresh linen just by lifting them up. The bed was comfortable. Not too soft or firm, but just right. I felt like GoldiLocks from the three bears except I got a nice bed on the first try lol. There was little to no noise outside of the room that could be heard being on the first floor near the main entrance. This will be my preferred hotel whenever I plan to go back to Flagstaff. read more

This little hidden gem in Flagstaff will not disappoint. We had the pleasure of staying one weekend and enjoyed everything about the beautifully appointed grounds to the restaurant. Of course the room was very nice as well. If I had any complaints it would just be the impossible soap bottles in the shower. They were either empty or the pumps were broken. I asked if we could get a courtesy late check out just to be compensated if we weren't going to be prorated and they said no. This hotel is also used to check in and shuttle people to the north pole experience so it will get a little busy during winter. And because some guests stay here that attend the north pole experience, don't expect quiet time as there'll be a lot of kids running up and down the hallways. The lodge was really cute, and the beds were super comfy. The pillows weren't as firm as I like, but they were still fine. The room was clean, with a fridge and microwave. There was also a separate vanity area with a big, well-lit mirror and lots of counter space, separate from the bathroom. The bathroom had another large mirror and sink, and the shower was just next door (separated by a door/wall). I that an EPIC SUMMER road trip this summer with out 3 boys. This was our final stop before heading home to Litchfield Park. We have been to many places in Flagstaff but had never stayed here. We scored two rooms for our family last minute for our final night of our road trip and we were blown away at the quality everywhere here. We particularly loved the squishy carpeted floors, Bed was great! Especially not sleeping in our own for a month while traveling- we were so happy- our backs couldn't handle much more lack of bed quality. Haha we are getting older. Plus we hiked ALL day at Petrified Forest National Monument. Loved loved loved!!!! Pool was great and SO cozy! Highly recommend!!!!!! X 100 Great Famiky or a couple's spot. Excellent higher end restaurant on site and beautiful grounds with cozy fire colored lighting makes the evening awesome by the pool! We will only stay here from now on in Flag!! read more

We didn't stay here when we were in Flagstaff, but we'd heard about the light display for Christmas. It was very colorful and festive. Many trees had lights strung around them and you could drive your car around them. They had a North Pole experience going on when we were there, so lots of people milling around waiting for their turn for that. Inside was a beautiful fireplace in the lobby and some decorated trees. We left scorching Scottsdale where it was 115° (yes, really!) and escaped to the cool, tree-lined oasis that is Little America Hotel in Flagstaff -- and what a perfect birthday getaway it turned out to be! From the moment we checked in, the hospitality was top-notch. The sweet girl at the front desk (wish I remembered her name -- she's originally from Houston and studied in Flagstaff) made our stay unforgettable. She upgraded us to a lovely room right by the pool and hot tub and even surprised us with a birthday card and two delicious cheesecakes. Such a thoughtful gesture! The property itself is stunning -- towering pines everywhere and a beautiful private hiking trail we did twice because it was so serene and pretty. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent (try to get a seat with a view -- it's worth it!). Truly one of the best hotel experiences we've had in Arizona. Can't wait to come back when we need a break from the desert heat again! read more

Check in was easily done on line. Then a quick verification by the front desk to hand our door keys and send us on our way to the room. Dinner onsite was amazing. Duck quesadilla was phenomenal, and the King salmon wasn't over cooked. The only thing that would have made it truly 5 star would to either have a driver to shuttle the 3 couples to the train station or have a regular driver that could be called. We recently stayed here for a weekend so we could enjoy the Flagstaff weather and hiking trails. We arrived before the 4:00pm check in time, but stopped by to see if we could get in early and we got lucky The check in experience was pretty seamless, with the front desk person being very friendly and telling us important features about the hotel. I was excited to learn about the trail behind the hotel and we did get to enjoy it. Our room was on the second floor and had balcony doors leading to the outside facing the parking lot. I was concerned this might be loud but it was not. Our spacious room had two beds and a very large bathroom with two sinks. It felt like it had been newly redone as everything was in good condition. They have a safe in a drawer as well as a fridge drawer. I love that they have refillable full size shower amenities. There was a conference going on while we were there but it had no effect on us. We did pop into the restaurant/bar for a drink and the service was spot on and they offer some nice wines. They do have a gift store and a pool and hot tub but we did not use either of these. Little America offered everything we needed: a clean room, quiet evenings, comfortable beds, a coffee machine in the room (Keurig), a good Wifi connection, and a location that is near many Flagstaff sites. Great hotel. I used ChatGPT to find a good hotel in a safe area that had RV parking and it gave me a few options with Little America being top of the list. Little America is more than just a standard hotel. Much more of a "villa" feel outside, way more spread out, and has a nice pool, playground and other activities on site. Also has a good restaurant (Silver Pine, I reviewed that separately.) Once in the room itself, we just got a standard King room, it's much more hotel vibe. But no issues and was great. I would definitely look for a Little America as a first option if they are all like this one. read more

I have to say that this hotel overall was better than I expected. It is super convenient if you plan on doing the North Pole Experience! The lobby is filled with Christmas ambiance and joy! All the cute families are decked in matching PJs. I came to check in and it was easy with the person that was helping me out. She got us in a nice convenient room near all the hustle and bustle where all the action is and where the hotel restaurant is. The rooms are way better in person than pictures. I love how spacious the room and bathroom are. There's a little mini "kitchen" with a fridge drawer, coffee maker, and a microwave! The appliances are much nicer than what you usually see at other hotels. The bathroom has a separate individual sink in addition to the bathroom with a shower and another sink. I find this super convenient and necessary to have. There are ample counter space and storage areas. I feel like they used more quality material that will last longer. So nice to see that. There's a gas station nearby as well as other restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel was actually pretty tasty as well. A little on the pricey side but you're paying for convenience. Prime rib was yummy and tender and breakfast was tasty and clean. I would stay here again 100%. read more

Stayed here on two occasions in June and overall impression is it's a nice resort type hotel in terms of room and facilities but service could use improvement. We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups! read more

We had a great time staying at the Little America Hotel for the first time with our toddler who is almost2! It was wonderful that they have the walking trail right behind the hotel so you can get a break to go into nature whenever you feel like it. The playground on site was super helpful as well to burn some energy for our toddler first thing in the morning and then later in the afternoon when we needed to get her to calm down for bed. The staff was nice, the rooms were clean, the grounds were beautiful and we cannot wait to come back for the North Pole experience! read more

Amazing stay. Booking was easy and they were very helpful with a duplicate reservation cancellation. The entire facility is so well maintained. From the rooms, to the public area, to the pool and hot tub to the nature trails/pine forrest. They even have a disc golf course, although that could have used a map. The room was spacious, the furniture all comfy, amazing mattress. We did not eat there, but the restaurant looked amazing and the food looked delish. the bath setup was perfect, 2 sinks, one apart from the toilet and shower. The hotel is connected lodges. The hotel is adjacent to their gas station/convenience store/diner that was really nice as well. Looking forward to another stay when we have more time, as we were just there overnight. read more

I rated two stars because the hotel was very nice and clean. But the experience behind reserving it was really bad. I went through a place called great reservations because they said I had to. They charged me over $300 for the room which was supposed to cost $150 and then they promised me a voucher for a free breakfast which the hotel said was not actually included. It's a shame because I really like that place and have stayed there quite a bit, but that puts a black mark on it for sure. I understand that nobody's going to make it right, but it just sucks that bullshit like that has to happen.. read more

The property is so unique and beautiful. From the pool to the lobby, the public areas are really beautiful. What stands out the most though are the nature trails. After a long day of driving, it was amazing to get out into nature and take a refreshing walk. The trails are on the property and easy to access from the hotel. Fantastic! The room was large and well appointed. The view from our window was lovely. Initially when we checked in, the room had some problems. We asked to change rooms and after 90 minutes, another room was made available. It was excellent. We missed having coffee available in the lobby and breakfast included in the room price. I love this hotel! This is my 4th stay at Little America in the past 4 or 5 years. It took all of 5 minutes to check in, very pleasant. The hotel was remodeled recently from head to toe and it is beautiful. From the moment you walk in, you notice this is not your typical nice hotel in Flagstaff--it's a cut way above. The art, the furniture, the color choices throughout are well designed. The rooms are a good size--we usually ask for a ground floor room with a view to the back overlooking the pretty grass and pine trees, with a view of the pool. The beds and pillows!! Superlative. I need to ask what they are so that I have the same at home. The bathrooms are beautiful and large. Parking is very convenient so you can park and walk into the lobby of your particular lodge and go to your room. There is no charge for parking. We've had breakfast and dinner in the dining room and it was very good. Last, all the staff I've dealt with has been friendly and professional, well trained in customer service.
