We can't say enough good things about Vic and Rovics Construction! We started our bathroom remodel in July and finished in August, and thanks to Vic, the whole process was smooth and the result is absolutely beautiful. Vic was there whenever his subcontractors showed up, giving clear direction and making sure everything was done to a high standard. He even reviewed all our plumbing and hardware purchases ahead of time (with his plumber's input too), so we never had the stress of missing parts or delays. That kind of care really made a difference. He also guided us with design choices--like the marble tile size--that had a huge impact on how stunning the bathroom looks now. Vic was always patient, accommodating, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. His subcontractors were professional and clearly took pride in their work as well. This wasn't our first project with Vic--he remodeled our kitchen previously, and that came out beautifully too. Having worked with him more than once, we can confidently say he's consistent, trustworthy, and truly takes pride in every detail. Vic, Israel, Bella and the entire team at Rovics have been true partners and professionals throughout our entire kitchen remodel. While we also utilized a designer at Home Depot, Vic was on top of all of the details (big and small). When you hire a general contractor, you want not only a seasoned veteran, but a team (behind that person) that gives you confidence that the work will be done well, and the project will progress on an expected timeline. Absolutely a bunch of clowns! Extremely unprofessional and very poor customer service, especially Vic. We put new cabinets in through Home Depot assuming Rovics, required vendor, was throughly vetted with a clear understanding of customer service, which was not our experience. To begin with, arriving 30 minutes after the scheduled 2 hour window - Rovics employee rolls up for material inspection, upon completion of inspection he left the cabinets trim pieces strewn across the garage floor - not cool. One positive note, the gentleman installing the cabinets was great - I got a sense he was a subcontractor. Additionally, Vic from Rovics was our project coordinator and was supposed to schedule installation of quarter round trim pieces after the floor was installed, but we didn't receive any communication from him. We only learned about it upon returning the large amount of leftover materials to Home Depot - I could go on, but by now you get the picture. If you're considering Home Depot in Orange County for cabinets and they only use Rovics, do yourself right and go somewhere else. You'll be so thankful. read more

I purchased my cabinets from Home depot in Tustin and chose American Woodmark cabinets as they are made in USA and most affordable with good quality and lifetime guarantee. My cabinets arrived quickly although the process was mediocre at first (homedepot side) My designer was very friendly and chatty but didn't get all my questions answered and took off on vacation before my install. When she returned she had minimal communication of what's ahead. I decided to go inside the store to speak to the manager and was told she was on medical leave during install. Homedepot never followed through with my kitchen design and therefore it's now a month and a half and I don't have my tiny tiny kitchen done. Since this review is about Rovics...I have to say ...Vic , his staff @ Rovics ( homedepot's cabinet installer )was ready and more than helpful with not just the cabinet installation (which is all he's contracted to do) but also help move things along quickly . while yes i had an MIA Homedepot designer who I believe is still on leave and the person covering her is now on vacation for a week. This nonsense has been the only reason my kitchen isn't done.Their vendors however are very capable and experienced. Vic was able to quickly reorder the incorrect doors my homedepot designer had ordered. Her mistake further delayed our project even though I had emailed and told her my receipt showed the wrong doors. Vic owner at Rovics is an exceptional communicator and is very experienced. He has shown up to my project site from beginning to every step of the way and will continue to do so until everything is done. Any negative reviews I read here on Rovics specific to moldings it's best that the correct molding pieces are ordered during the cabinet purchase. My designer wasn't clear on that either but we got creative during our installation and my install looks very custom. Make sure the correct molding pieces are ordered and purchased with Homedepot. This will help the installer meet all your design expectations. My kitchen is halfway done because Tustin Homedepot has one designer and no back up. I had to call the remaining vendors myself and arrange appointments for counter template and hood installation. I only knew what to do since Vic was my cabinet guy and he knows the process. Rovics has installed all the correct cabinet pieces. They will return to install the last two doors that were ordered incorrectly by Homedepot. I 100%recommend Rovics for cabinet installation. I would never hire homedepot for future renovation nor would I recommend them. read more

I purchased cabinets from Home Depot in Orange. They used Rovics as their subcontractor for the cabinet installation. Overall, they did a subpar job. 1) Let's start with Vic, the owner. He says he's been in the business for several years. So why didn't I get better advice? He came over to our house while our entire kitchen was gutted so he can see everything. I flat out asked him, if there was any advice he could give me prior to installation? I told him the scope of the project. He just stood there, staring at my bare kitchen with his arms crossed and said "Nope." a) He failed to tell me that I needed to make sure the microwave ducting opening was in line with the new cabinets. I had to move the ducting afterwards. b) I told him I needed to add flooring to fill in the gaps. He didn't say anything. I thought the flooring would butt up against the cabinets. He didn't tell me until afterwards that the flooring goes "under" the cabinets. It would've been a much easier job to add pieces of hardwood flooring before, rather than making precision cuts after the installation. c) I didn't have a water line behind the fridge. How about...hey customer, how about adding a plumbing line with a connector behind the walls rather than running a line through the cabinets? Come on man. Give me something! Ok, so maybe I should've thought of this but you're the professional! 2) Now let's go to the installation. The installers were nice guys, however, not very skilled. On a skill level of 1 to 5, they were a 2. It's easy to install cabinets level to a wall and screw to the studs. The difficult part is making precision cuts and paying attention to the details. For example...making a 7" hole in the top of the cabinet for the microwave ducting. They did a free hand jagged circular cut for this. Really? You mean you're professionals and you DON'T have a 7" hole saw? Also, when you drill into another cabinet from one side to another, place a piece of wood with a clamp on the other side so you don't have breakout. Rookies. They free-handed a straight cut for the cabinet base under the sink so the cut was all jagged. Hey, how about using a straight guide so you can get a straight line? Vic's solution...put a piece of molding over the gap to cover the poor workmanship. Lol. Lastly, the crown moulding was terrible. Most of the corners were offset. So I got into an argument with one of the installers. I told him it didn't look right and he got defensive, blaming the unevenness of the ceiling. So then hang it to the lowest point of the ceiling, then fill in the gaps!? I told Vic I needed to hire a professional to redo the crown. So, I did and it looks perfect. No complaints. So, if you're getting your cabinets from Home Depot...do NOT use Rovics Construction for the installation. The beautiful cabinets that you are spending tens of thousands of dollars on, are only as good as the installation! read more

Rovics Construction installed my Kraftsmaid cabinets and surpassed my expectations on service. They are detail-oriented, prompt, patient, and have a high attention-to-detail. Melodie sent a schedule early-on the project, stating the timeline and each trade specialty working on the project. She is a delight to work with and so are the others. They pulled my permits and stayed with me for final inspection with the City of Irvine, to get a PASS grade. I would highly recommend Rovics Construction for kitchen remodels. Unreliable. When I placed the order, I requested a text to let me know they are on their way so I would have time to travel to our rental where they were to do measuring. No text, nothing. After several phone calls not answered, I found out they just showed and the tenant let them in. I was left hanging for over **two hours** with no text, no phone call. ( and no, I don't expect my tenant to do a vendors texting). I have no idea if they did what I needed them to do. Can't rely on them to do a job if I can't count on something as simple as a text. Shame on Home Depot for having unreliable vendors. read more

Below expectations. The owner and electrician are difficult to communicate with. RC inspected and installed Thomasville cabinet doors in the kitchen that had imperfections and dings on them. It was a battle to get new ones sent and then they charged Home Depot a trip charge to correct their flawed work. The drywall associate made a two inch area into a much bigger area that needed to be painted. I repeated over and over I did not have the paint as it was a faux finish. The electrician dinged the door frame in several spots with a small ladder and then dropped equipment next to the doorframe and damaged it more. I looked at the indentation and then at him-he simply looked at his phone. He also damaged two cabinet doors - they were replaced and then he damaged the same cabinet doors again when he finished the electrical work. Frustrating. The project was quoted to take 2 months. I was without a fully functioning kitchen for approximately 6 months. The errors and frustration started with Rovics Construction. The reviews on their website and at Home Depot are inflated. Neither sent me a review to complete. Disappointing. read more

Rovics construction did my bathroom and they were AMAZING! I received 3 estimates and they were the only ones that wanted to pull permits! Most impressive was the whole process of the bathroom remodeling, the tile guy still does tile the traditional way! They do not do hardibacker they float the walls and do hot mop instead of a liner. They did all the work from start to finish and I just sat back and relaxed! A supervisor came out to my house everyday to check on the work. Prior to starting they sent me a full project schedule with dates, times and the trades person that would be coming to my house that day. I would recommend Rovics over and over again! read more
