This is an overdue review, but i wanted to wait at least 6 months to write out a full review! It was my first time renovating anything. I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! When I first met Daniel, he asked me questions about my house project that no one else had. He wanted to know what I was envisioning and the style. He asked me very detailed questions that I hadn't thought about yet. I knew that he was detail-oriented and that he was already invested in my project even though I hadn't given him the go-ahead. I planned to do a room addition, which required an architect and getting those plans approved by the city. He took care of all the back and forth so that my focus could be on other aspects of the project. I had walls knocked down, a window put in, and new walls built. I added some aesthetic upgrades, which he took care of quickly. Daniel always responded quickly anytime I reached out to him. Poor communication, shotty craftsmanship, and high prices... I was mentally prepared for all of those things. Frame Build & Design was one of four companies we met with regarding our garage remodel. I chose to reach out to them because they were one of the few people with 'garage remodel' mentions on Yelp. I ultimately chose them because Eli was so much more responsive compared to the other contractors we met with. Pricing was also reasonable. The work we needed done: demo, drywall for both walls and ceiling, recessed lighting, two electrical outlets plus a charger, tear up the tile on the garage floor, new garage motor and door, and help us with the molding on a door frame the previous owner crappily moved. They finished everything in a week and it looks amazing. I'm so glad we chose them and I would definitely choose them again for any future projects. The workers were responsible and respectful. Had such high hopes, but ultimately the unreliability and delayed timelines created a toxic experience. The framing and electrical crew were solid, but shoddy plumbers and unreliable flooring contractors almost quadrupled the timelines. Countless mistakes led to having to retile two bathrooms, incorrect kitchen quartz countertops being cut, wrong lighting installed and a hotel stay. Not to mention that we had install cameras to validate that workers were actually showing up, working a full day and/or completing the correct tasks. Towards the end of the project when expressing concerns and impatience, Idan took limited accountability, provided no reason for the unbelievably delayed timeline and blamed us for the countless miscommunications and problem. Instead of having his team finish up residual work, I ended up just paying the remaining balance to be done with the madness. While the outcome eventually met most expectations, the 9+ months of stress and anxiety wasn't worth it. I have multiple friends ask for a referral for a gc and have made it clear to avoid B&D at all costs! read more

I needed to work on a project that included a kitchen and powder room remodel, as well as new flooring for the entire first floor and stairs. FBD was the third and final company I met with. While the first two companies also assured me that they could handle everything I needed and wanted, something just didn't click. When I met with Daniel, I knew that my search was over. From the very first meeting, he took time to listen to my ideas and concerns (and took notes!), offered suggestions, and provided detailed information about the project. Once work began, everything moved efficiently. After the initial groundwork was completed, the crew came in almost every day to make steady progress. In fact, we ended up ahead of schedule - something I've never heard of happening with a remodeling project. What impressed me most was the communication. Once the contract was signed, Daniel created a WhatsApp chatroom for the project. Whenever I sent a message, I never had to wait more than a few minutes for a response. Daniel always contacted me first to update me on the project, follow up with any questions, and alert me about next steps. Whenever I made a request, action was taken right away. Daniel also dropped by frequently whenever he could squeeze in a few minutes in his busy schedule. If I had any concerns, his response was always "we'll get it fixed!" and he showed up himself to check on the issue. Fixing up your home can be stressful, but FBD makes the entire process so much easier. My project took about three weeks and I couldn't be happier with the results. I originally found FBD through Yelp and was impressed by the detailed reviews. Now I understand why so many customers took the time to write them. After working with FBD, I'm happy to do the same. We met with several contractors when looking to remodel our kitchen. We ultimately went with Idan and the FB team due to their fair pricing, professionalism, previous work examples, knowledge and their customer service. We are so glad with our decision and the kitchen turned out better than we could have hoped for! The scope of their work included breaking down walls, replacing piping, raising a beam, installing lighting, installing the cabinets, countertops and appliances. There were so many little details and they were able to handle each issue that arose. Frame Build and Design has a dedicated team for each aspect so you know they have great skill and expertise. For example, one team did our flooring, one team installed the cabinets and one team fabricated the countertop. Idan kept us updated each step of the process. We were on trip for part of the process and he would send us videos and pictures. We loved how available they were and they always responded to our concerns / questions timely. I hired Frame Build & Design for a custom garage remodel where I wanted to save some money and not use a garage remodel company who would only install their own products for shelving and cabinetry, and instead just use lightweight, off-the-shelf products from Home Depot. The work consisted of demolishing & hauling away the existing old wood shelving, install new drywall on the 2 unfinished side walls, paint the garage, and install the new Home Depot shelving & cabinetry that I purchased myself. The outcome was amazing and this company (Daniel) was very communicative during the entire process. Frame Build and Design team did an excellent job renovating my living room to demolish a drywall railing and build a glass railing. This involved demolition, tucking in an air duct, building a small wall, finding matching floor pieces and doing the flooring, and then finally cutting and installing 3 large tempered glass panels. Daniel was a very responsive and detailed project manager and his team of contractors were creative in figuring out solutions, put care in cleaning up afterwards, were personable and most of all - did a great job. My living room looks much larger thanks to the glass panels and the room also looks like a million bucks with these glass panels. But it did not cost a million bucks because the Frame Build and Design team gave me a good price. Thanks for executing my vision of having glass railings, but making sure it was done in a really nice way! Highly recommend to work with this team for your next home renovation project. We had worked with Frame Build & Design to install a utility sink in our Laundry room and remodel our Kitchen. The kitchen remodel included new cabinets and countertops, layout changes for our pantry and microwave, new appliances, new sink and plumbing, and custom display shelf. We had interviewed about 7 other contractors for this job and we ultimately went with Frame Build & Design because we believed they had good experience with this level of work, good results, and an approachable attitude. We mainly worked with Idan for this job and he was very good about communicating with us the details of the job and was upfront about the cost of everything. He got back to us the same day or by the next day about any questions or concerns during the whole process. Idan or another foreman often came by the job site every day to check on the progress and check in on us to answer any questions. During the kitchen cabinet installation the contractors always double checked with me during the planning stages and showed examples to make absolutely sure we would be happy with the placement before they secured the cabinets. Even after all the cabinets were in, we had asked them to change the side that some of the doors opened and to add another level of shelves in one of the cabinets and they were able to make those changes quickly. They always cleaned up at the end of each workday and put up plastic curtains around the job site to keep all dust and debris away from the rest of the house. It took 4.5 weeks to complete all the work and pass all inspections. We were very happy with the timely manner everything was done and we stayed well within budget. Any additional cost was due to added work we requested after initial planning such as adding in tile backsplash to the laundry room. We are extremely happy with the results of our kitchen and would definitely work with Idan again. read more

We did an entire home remodel on my in law's home in Westminster Orange County. We received a few bids and we felt this company was fair and also included the best scope of work. My in laws had to move into our home while the work was being done, so completing the project on schedule was critical (within about 70 days). We had some permitting delays, out of the crews control, but Idan was all over it. This was a home built in the 1950's and had never been updated, so we found some issues along the way with wiring and plumbing which required change orders (we anticipated there would be surprises) . Idan's crew redid all the plumbing pipes and electrical wiring with no project delay. The results turned out beautiful. I will try to update with photos later. The pricing started at about $108,000, and with some change orders, we finished at around $130,000. This was fair as other companies started at closer to $120,000 and the other bids did not factor in items Idan's design included. This was a 1600 square foot house where we ripped and replaced everything, added a laundry room, tore down a couple walls, added support beam etc. I will DEFINITELY hire Idan again. I had the pleasure of working with Daniel, Aldo and Adrian's crew. We were originally looking to remodel our outdated garage and contacted several businesses. I spoke with Idan and he was able to have someone (Daniel) come visit and provide a general cost within a few days. The project started a few days later and the work initially included drywall of all side walls, insulation, epoxy, painting, door install and a cement step installed in garage. When the project was almost completed, we realized the ceiling beams were warped and sagging. Daniel was able to work develop a change order and we completely redid ceiling beams, added insulation to ceiling and a drywall ceiling. As we came to realize after the fact, we needed 4 ceiling lights with a light switch and added two outlets. All throughout the project Daniel would stop by on a daily basis to check on the work status and see if we had any questions.
