I've been dealing with them for over 50 years and I would not recommend them to anyone! They sell you a vehicle service it then when they mess it up they won't warranty any of the repair. Bought first vehicle from them in 69 and will never go back. Won't return phone calls from myself or from the Ford company itself. Being a mechanic and telling them what is wrong is not taken seriously. The shop foreman is an ignorant person. Says he's been a mechanic for over 20 years when I have been doing it for over 50. Service advisor won't help. Store manager will not return calls. With the problem being shown to their attention and not being taken care of now has done over $3500 worth of damage that they are making me pay for by myself. The service department here is a nightmare. Car goes in 7/9 and they say they need a part. Hopefully by 7/11. No update on that date. Check on 7/14. Car needs another part and they don't know when it will arrive. I called to get an explanation and after two holds and transfers, the scheduling department picks up and has no idea who I am or why I'm calling. PATHETIC. I finally get ahold of a tech and he's no help so I ask for a supervisor. He says "OK, hold". Then click, dead line, then dial tone. Something similar to this happens EVERY TIME I go there for anything but an oil chane/sticker.​ In this case they screwed themselves because I'm trading the vehicle in for a new one if they ever get it fixed. I am in the process of choosing mUNnext vehicle. service reviews on each one I am interested in is terrible. do I checked Rowe's service department reviews. I keep vehicles a long time, usually over 10 years/100,00 miles. I had a full size Ford sports van (after 2 Chevy versions) and now on my second Expedition. All services provided by Rowe Ford. I never had less than good, at times exceptional service from these folks. I may very well settle for my 3rd or 4th choice SUV simply because of my many years of confidence in Rowe. Originally was trying to be positive with my review and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Friday Night I was all ready to come put a downpayment on the my vehicle in order to secure and purchase the vehicle when it was ready. I had to pick up my child from care and was promised to receive a phone call from the finance manager 3 times Friday evening and was delaying the pickup of my child and trying to plan it out so that I wasn't driving when the call came in and could talk numbers. But after 3 follow ups and being told I would get a call in a certain amount of time no one called me that night. Saturday morning I finally got a call, but was not pleased with how Friday night was handled with zero communication that the call wasn't coming and decided after hearing the warranty number and the prior lack of communication I was no longer interested. Then Monday came along and I had a deal in place for another vehicle but passed on that since Rowe gave me a call with a great offer and I was ready to take that deal. Then Friday happened all over again, my sales rep said i would receive a call shortly and didn't hear so I followed up and he said within the hour. Then the hour passed and it was 4:30 and I sent an email to see if I should swing by after work (no response). So I stopped by and was informed to expect a call in the morning because they were too busy. So It's now noon on a Tuesday, and still no phone call yet to explain anything. At this point I was ready to walk away when they could have had the easiest sale. They dragged their feet with absolutely abysmal communication and gave the sense they don't care about customers. I ended up purchasing the vehicle solely because of how much I liked the vehicle and now wish I hadn't. It's now passed the 14 days of the return window ( seems 100% intentional on their end). I have reached out 3 times about an issue with grinding and a leaking moon roof. And to no surprise zero communication from them. Was told I'd hear back twice and haven't heard back. I Have sent a follow up email. Even called and the managers voicemail was full so you can't leave a message. Will never purchase a vehicle here again and hope people read this for fair warning read more

I've been having services for my Ford Focus at Rowe Ford in Westbrook since 2019 so I consider myself a loyal customer. I'm being charged $100 for an oil change/tire rotation for a 4 cylinder vehicle. Even the person checking me in said it was a high price for that type of vehicle. I pulled up a coupon on their website and was told that it's not an "actual" coupon, that it just tells you what the "Works" package entails and that no one even knows why it's on their website. I asked, for that high price for an oil change, if they could at least wash it. I was told "No we can't wash it with that type of antennae". Huh? It's been washed here before AND I can take it into any type of car wash. There is nothing special about the antennae. Unfortunately they've lost a customer. I'll try to find an independent mechanic. I came here in Dec 2021. I wanted to learn more about the new F150. They receptionist asked me what I was there for and asked me to wait. She then took me to an older sales man who was quite irritated that he suggest he speak to someone as he had someone coming in about 35 min later. He asked what I wanted and I told him I wanted to know more about the difference between 2020 and 21 F150s (I had done extensive research prior to but wanted to speak to someone as well). I told him I would be towing and this / that. He responded with "well what specifically do you want ". After 10 min of him telling me about is 30+ year career in sales and running sales here and there. He takes me outside. He casually walks me around, "this won't do what you want, this isn't what you want". Shows me a XL that was "closer" to what I want. It was locked and he took his time and got the keys (Dec isn't the best month to be waiting outside". No offer for a test drive. We go inside and I start to ask about the process to order. He retorts with "how likely are you to buy today"? I told him I wasn't prepared to do that yet as I want to learn more and test drive. He tells me that he needs a smoke break, and goes outside. I waited 5 min and decide that my business is not worth his time. I went up the road about 15 min to another Ford Dealership. Was welcomed, questions answered, info I didn't know provided and it didn't matter if I was ready that day or not. They wanted my business. I came back a week later with a deposit. I signed and picked up my 2022 Lariat from the other dealership two days ago and will say that they demonstrated what customer service should be. I was happy to give them my over 60K for that transaction. I always try to buy at my local dealer, if I had a flat with no spare I would bypass this dealership and go 15 minutes up the road where I know I am not disturbing anyones smoke break. read more

As a long term customer their prices and quality of work are great. But then all fails when you have a delay like a part not available or need tires ordered and you want more information. don't expect them to call you back or follow through with promises they made about getting back to you. I have had to call and call.. text and text only to be redirected and ignored. Escalation to management results in nothing. The latest is I have been waiting a month now for resolution on some work I need done. The wrong part was ordered a week prior. I paid in advance. Now it is like pulling teeth to get some resolution to this like did you get the right part.. can I reschedule. This has happened before with trying to get tires. I think I would be better off going to casco or Yankee next time. read more

brought my Bronco sport there for body work. estimate was 7 days that turned into 4 weeks. got the car back with issues to the right fender they replaced. also had large rodents take up shop in the trunk for the four weeks it was there there was an incredible amount of urine, and poop. the odor is unbearable. the service manager told me it was not their problem. they were not interested in making it right. would not recommend to my worst enemy. read more

The absolute bottom of the barrel worst customer service I've ever experienced. I purchased a used auto from Rowe- week 1 the rear quarter panel blew off the car. They had it 2 weeks to repair with no communication, no return calls. They failed to put clips back on and were rude about me asking them to fix it as I had to use duct tape for the second time. Within a day of return the transmission started to have problems. The transmission battle continued for months. They literally DO NOT CARE, there is no follow up, or follow through by anyone other than the general manager. The customer service manager and most of the service staff are rude and have no accountability. At one point the service staff forgot why they even had the car there. I went to pick up the vehicle and what the told me was fixed wasn't. They changed their mind multiple times about how to "make the situation right" replace the transmission, replace the car, to now just return my money. As I discovered by going through the carfax, Rowe had taken my car to another local dealership not once but twice for transmission issue prior to my purchase. Oddly enough, it was the same issues I was having. I was able to collect service records from Rowe visits prior to my ownership and it should have come at no surprise or taken 6 months to rectify the transmission issue. They even ran tolls in my vehicle while they had it for service to the point I received a bill and a notice that my registration would be revoked by the state if it continued. I had multiple appointments cancelled because the "loaner fell through." When my car had to be towed, they did get together a loaner for and delivered it to me, filthy. It even had used Covid masks left behind. Things happen, it's how a business handles it that makes all the difference. I'm sure if you have zero issues that need follow up this place is fine, the salesman was awesome. After that, the worst. So many other dealerships, run,don't walk, away from this one. read more

This review is specifically for service. Brought my 2016 F150 here with some alignment issues. They were able to get me in right away. Also had some tires I bought online shipped here and they mounted and balanced them. Our service advisor was friendly and made sure everything we needed was done, also got several recalls completed in the same day. The work they did seems to have come out great, truck is driving fantastic again. They have a nice waiting room with WiFi and coffee and such. read more

I was impressed with Rowe as a whole. I leased a 2014 Ford Focus Titanium and it was a mostly painless process. It's a car dealership and they want to make money, but this wasn't as sleazy as most. The salesman was professional and didn't hound me with phone calls during the process (a HUGE plus) and the actual showroom is newly renovated and upscale. I haven't been in for real service yet so I can't comment on that. But shortly after buying the car I realized that the touchscreen software wasn't loaded with the newest update (I had asked about this earlier and they assured me it had been). No problem, they put on ESPN and fed me coffee while they completed the 30 minute update and washed the car. I know some dealerships, after signing the dotted line, would basically say "too bad." So I wouldn't come here to hang out for fun, but if you're in the market for a Ford/Lincoln, I'd consider Rowe a solid pick. read more

RoweWestbrook is THE.WORST.CAR.DEARLSHIP.EVER. - service, finance...etc complete and total garbage! Gave my wife 8 days to have her car inspected for lease end. A few weeks ago went in for meeting with the sales team on 5/10/22 to discuss lease end options. Because she wasn't trading it in to get into a new lease because COVID kept mileage down and their way inventory is low and leases are in demand, it made more sense to keep, they chose not to give her attention as an existing customer. They were unable to get the car back, then get her into a new lease and resell the vehicle at a profit they mistreated her. She was told when she that someone would be in contact to assist with least end options. She finally received a call today from Eric 6/7/22 apologizing but was not able to give her any options unless she came back again. She owns her own business in Portland and we have 3 children 2 of which are under the age of 7 and giving her no flexibility. We all know that this is probably a tactic to back her into a corner and force her to make a decision that is in favor for them. COMPLETE BS!! read more

I hate to be that person who brings down a company review, but we had a very disappointing experience when we purchased our Hybrid Rav recently. When you pay that kind of money for a vehicle, you would hope that someone there would show how the new technology worked... starting with the push button starter. 2 months later and we are still trying to figure different things out. But also it took over a week and several calls to get the title. Then a few more weeks and several more calls to get a spare key fob. commerical service center had my truck for nearly half a year. lost my truck 3 times. wouldnt call me with updates and would literaly refuse to pick up for weeks at a time if i called. lied to me, promised to do work at certain times but never did, blamed me for them not doing work despite the vehicle being in their possession. never received an estimate and never signed off on the work they did do. they went from not diagnosing it at all for months, to me saying please look at it. to the work is being done but were covering it. was lied to about financing options. lied to me about covering the repairs for keeping my vehicle for so long to keep me from going somewhere else. charged me anyway. when they finnaly finished and i paid them the truck didnt even start. Meanwhile they kept acting like schoolboys thinking they are sly being outright transphobic and smiling each time they lied to my face. Im highly suspicious of the work they aparently did do, im honestly worried they have sabotaged my truck at this point. nearly 6 months and about 4k later i had a truck that wouldnt start and a man saying, well just come back tommorow. luckily a technician who is a normal human being stepped in to give it a jump so i could atleast get it off their lot and out of their possesion. Wildest mechanic experience ive ever had. They will lie, take forever, and you will be lucky if u can get ahold of them at all. read more

Only 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. .. I had a horrible experience after bringing my car to them for some relatively minor body work after hitting a bird on the interstate. I understand parts shortages or shipping delays so accurate information or even what was on backorder wouldn't have been an issue. Instead they seemingly just made things up and kept telling me that my car would be done in a couple days or that it was almost done and just needed to be reassembled... So I would call back after they told me it would be done to hear basically the same thing as before "it's almost done, be ready on Wednesday" Considering the most obvious part that the car came in needing hadn't arrived over a month later I think it's reasonable to assume they just say whatever they think of to get customers off the phone. I picked up my car and brought it to another shop to get it finished... and found out that they installed a window wrong and sanded the door frame to get it to stop rubbing. Yes, sanded the paint off the frame of the body of the car so the window wouldn't rub. Absolutely horrible experience and I wouldn't bring my car back to them if the work was free. I am thankful to the owner and the managers (Mark, Mike and Ryan) for all of their amazing help! I purchased a 2018 Ford Edge (which I loved) from their dealership. After owning it a week, there were major issues that the previous owner obviously hid. I called the dealership and long story very short...they jumped through hoops to make sure I was taken care of. Mike and Mark both said, they wanted me to be a Rowe client for life and they treated me as such! This is what matters to me...when there is a problem are they willing to do what is right? These guys did! So even though there was an initial issue (which is normal and part of life) they more than made it right! True customer service! They made me a Rowe customer for life! I was very impressed with my experience at Rowe Ford. I leased a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium and it was all very easy. I had done a lot of research prior to coming in and knew this was my top choice for a vehicle. I hadn't test driven one yet so that was important. Mary, my saleswoman, met us at the door as we walked in and was very gracious, helpful, and down to earth. I truly felt that she wanted to find the perfect vehicle for me. With over 68 Escapes in stock when I went I knew they also had the inventory to support the specific amenities I needed, and didn't need. I had my father with me and he also felt very at ease, like we were dealing with a real person, and not your typical sleazy salesperson. At other dealerships they've had me test drive any random version of the car I'm looking at "just for the feel of it". Mary found a car with the amenities I wanted and had me drive that one- which ended up being the car I took home with me. The financial side of things with Chris was painless and easy as well. The entire process took a little longer than I would have liked but a few employees were on vacation so I understood and wasn't really in a rush anyway. Rowe has been in business for a long time and I can see the reason why. They obviously hire quality employees like Mary who truly care about their job and the people they work with. I'll have a hard time waiting three years to go back for my next car! read more

Texted me when my vehicle was ready, and was very good about discussing repairs with me as well as advising me that a new ranger may be built in the near future. I wanted to update to my previous review. I returned with my Mustang to Rowe Ford to give them a chance to make things right, and they did. They replaced the broken puddle lamp with a new one. They fixed the alignment by re-positioning the subframe, the alignment is now perfect and they even refunded my alignment fee. They also touched up the paint chip on the trunk and even went a step further and touched up another chip on the hood that was pre-existing. Once the upper management got involved they acted quickly to right any wrongdoing. I think this was an isolated incident and I look forward to having my vehicle serviced here in the future. read more

Connie and her team are terrible people to work with and should be removed from their positions immediately so that nobody else has to suffer personal property damage at the hands of Row Ford Collision. I had some dents and scratches to be repaired on my 1997 BMW M3. These were small damages caused by rocks being thrown from a lawnmower, not very serious repairs at all. This car was in amazing condition when I brought it in for repairs (aside from the dents and scratches to be fixed). They had my car for almost 2 months, leaving me without a vehicle to drive... They never reached out to me about delays or anything, I had to basically harass them for any updates at all after being ghosted for weeks at a time. They incorrectly assessed the damage when I dropped it off, even though they took pictures and looked over the car with me. They failed to repair one full side of the vehicle, the side that they did "repair" was covered in new scratches, dents, and wavy panels. There was damage to my wheel caps, interior door panels, wiring harnesses, and more. The only thing that they did right was paint color matching. After telling my insurance company about this, they scheduled me for a 2nd repair to fix their mistakes and to actually fix the side that they neglected to touch. I dropped my car off and waited 2 weeks, then I was told that they could not fit me in the schedule and I should pick my car up... 3 months later I finally got an appointment. I was assured several times that my car would be finished before any salt would be on the roads (this is a summer only car that has never seen salt in its life). Not only did they not repair it in time (took them almost 3 weeks), they drove it around their parking lot in the salt and made me pick my car up and drive it home through salt in below freezing weather so that I cannot even wash it off. Now my car will sit covered in salt all winter and rust. They failed, again, to repair anything to an acceptable standard. Each side of my car is covered in swirl scratches, every single panel on the car has new scratches, my windshield has a HUGE gash across the drivers field of vision. Obviously there is no shop foreman that looks at the vehicles to approve that the work has been completed properly, or they are so bad at their job that they don't even care... To top it all off, they took my car for a LONG joy ride (I set my trip to 0 when I bring my car in for service, it was at 800 when I picked it up) and my Check Engine Light is now on. This place basically took my 9/10 condition collectors car and ruined it twice. They don't even have the guts to apologize or act like decent people when they basically ruined my car. Every single person on this team should be fired and replaced with people with actual work ethics and skills to do their jobs. read more

Be sure to read the FINE PRINT!!!! When they tell you "Bumper to Bumper" warranty, don't believe it. Bumper to Bumper means just that BUMPER TO BUMPER. When something is wrong with the car that is supposed to be under a 12,000 mile warranty within less than 2,000 miles into it and you have to pay to have it fixed even though it was the heat shield that was most likely hanging from the car the day it was sold to us, THAT is NOT BUMPER TO BUMPER. There are lots of other dealerships that would have not allowed this to happen and would have eaten the $30 charge. To me, that says a lot that they would not eat that cost and make it right! Sales person that made the Bumper to Bumper so amazing at the time of the sale said he could do nothing and that she actually "made out with the deal" because their is a $100 deductible with the warranty........... Well THAT IS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THAT TOO! Not impressed. Won't be back. read more

I can't speak to sales, only factory warranty service. The guys have always been prompt, accurate and cordial. The waiting area is very nice with coffee/tea, wifi and comfy seats. They seem to care about my time and schedule in making appointments and following up. It can be intimated taking your car for service when you are a woman, but I did not feel that way at all when I went to Rowe. The mechanics over at this place told me I needed a new transmission for my Ford Explorer. Quoted 3 k for a new transmission and also tried to get me to buy a vehicle while there. I ended up parking my truck thinking it needed a transmission & concerned with traveling and bought used car. I saved up some money & took to a transmission shop in Biddeford. After they looked it over couldn't believe what I was told! Turns out my truck only needed a new radiator , transmission flush and hose for $650. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion from any services these people recommend. read more

Well, their reputation will remain. From the receptionist to the service rep their attitude is outstanding. I was impressed with the service receipt narrative (e.g. Customer states... with their response beginning with: Confirmed customer concern). My latest issue was a lost key & fob when my daughter-in-law drove my car. Went in recently for a check on my hyundai Tuscon to find out about engine light which according to manual is related to emissions. Left 2 hours later with estimates about new tires, new brakes etc--And paid 179.00 to have a accy bulb put in ??? I went to Rowe Ford for the first time yesterday for an oil change and was greeted by a very friendly staff and clean facilities (and the Quick Lane Service is open until ( on Saturdays!). After dropping off my truck they indicated that it would be ready in about 30 minutes, or slightest longer. I left the store and walked around the shops near by and returned 40 minutes later. After waiting for roughly 5 minutes in the shop, they called me up apologizing profusely, and notified me that because of the delay they were not going to charge me for the oil change. In addition, they performed a multi point inspection of my vehicle and ran it through the car wash, all part of their standard service. read more

They gave us numbers and tried to bury what they were shorting us on our trade with rebate numbers that didn't do anything. The final nail in the coffin for wanting nothing to do with this dealership anymore was the sales person I was working with calling me on the phone and personally attacking me. I went in on a Friday, car was on the lot over 100 days and was priced at 20996. I liked the car a lot and asked if they could waive some or all of the fees expecting then to bargain and meet me in the middle. That didn't happen. The sales man Steve saucier pulls up Kelly blue book and shows me "the exact built car" to which he says it was discounted enough and had no negotiation. I asked him to humor me and asked the sales manager. The sales manager, Ray larrette, said "id rather sell it at auction then sell it any cheaper". So after not seeing eye to eye I said hey not trying to upset anyone but call me before you go to auction or the price changes.... They sell the car not even 24 hours later for 19994 to someone else.... They didn't call me they didn't offer me 1002 dollars off, they said they would rather sell it at auction.
