The rows aren't as well-maintained as some of the other farms in the area (a little jungle like lol) but maybe that's part of the adventure. Can't beat $2/lbs on all berries! We came home with a BUCKET full of Ruby Raspberries and our favorite Marionberrries for under $6! No frills, friendly service, come early before it gets too hot! We love this place! It's our go to spot for picking berries every summer. Super low key, ample parking, tons of varieties of berries and reasonably priced! They offer a few different sized buns you purchase at the start and fill to your hearts content. I believe there's a discount too if you bring that container back for another visit. They offer raspberries, blackberries and blueberries along with a few other types. The Cascade Delight raspberries are magic, the best raspberries I've ever had. Great farm! Flat rate prices make it easy. Been going there for many years! Know that it is being managed by a new company this year (2025) Very few of the rows are labeled making it difficult to find the specific berries you are looking for and the people at the counter don't really know where they are and don't seem to care that the customer wants to know. I wish they would fix those labels. We are used to being able to select specific varieties of berries. Also, they won't weigh your own container and insist on having you use theirs which don't quite fit hallocks in them. Annoying! We'll see if the new management manages to keep customers coming with the lack of customer service. read more

OMG OMG I cannot believe we never knew of this place before. Our former babysitter (she moved to college, but is like family to us,) told us that her family ALWAYS picks berries here each summer. The prices - GREAT. $10/bucket for FRESH delicious berries and a HUGE variety, easy picking and TOTAL ease of social distancing. 5 STAR. The staff was friendly and the area you have that you can get picking is enormous. We went LATE June and we had tons of berries to choose from still. It wasn't over picked at all. We grabbed SO many raspberries that I ended up doing homemade jam for some and holy wow I will over pick again next year because we LOVED that jam! I hope it isn't crazy busy next year but I have to be honest this was GREAT picking and not crowded. I so love this spot! read more

This has been my go to blueberry picking spot for two years now after the one I used to go to growing up closed. This location, while a bit out of the way for me, is great as it isn't highly trafficked. They also offer a variety of u-pick berries from blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, to marionberry. Affordable prices at $12/bucket. People manning the booths are friendly and helpful. Berry pickers have free rein on what berries they would like to pick and where they would like to go following what's open and in season. It often feels like you have the whole place to yourself. I would highly recommend coming in the early morning to beat the afternoon heat. Lots of fun and a place I look forward coming to in the summer. read more

It was a gorgeous day for berry picking. I've going to Rowell Bros berry picking farm for at least 10 years. I hadn't been since 2020 as I had previously picked an abundance of berries & froze them in my Foodsaver. Things have changed since. You can no longer take your own buckets. They previously weighed them, you picked your berries and when you were done picking you'd return to check out & they would re-weigh your abundance. While I do understand the new change I don't particularly like it. You're required to purchase their bucket for $17 and they are small but still worth it versus purchasing at a grocery store. You can not reuse these buckets & therefore as an avid recycler it's just plastic I will have to find other uses for. Regardless I do love the variety of berries available from blueberries, boysenberries, blackberries, raspberries & marrionberries. One caveat, only 1 portapotty with lavatory available. read more

Rowell Bros is such a great place to pick various berries! They've got an honor system set in place where you first pick the berries and then pay (5$ for a bucket and $2 for a quart). Wonderful berry farm just outside of Beaverton, Tigard, and Sherwood. We have been picking here for years and always come home with delicious fresh berries. They are perfect for pies, freezing for winter, making jams and baked goods or enjoying fresh. Definitely a must try place for Berry picking. I just love this part of been an Oregonian. It is a beautiful large farm with variety of berries to pick from. It is all you can eat and Prices are very reasonable. You pay a dollar for a basket of you want to buy one. They sell jams as well from their farm fresh berries. That tastes delicious. Though a bit sweet for my taste. I picked some 18 pounds of blueberries, marion berries and raspberries. My refrigerator is still smelling berries. Pretty good, inexpensive berry farm. You can either bring your own containers or purchase a flimsy semi opaque bucket from them for a dollar. After parking, you can approach the white tent at the front where the cash registers and buckets are located. They have a whiteboard sign with the pricing of various berries listed right next to the tent. It wasn't difficult to navigate the farm. One disappointment is that when we arrived, blueberries were listed on the pricing on the whiteboard. However, after making the trek to where the blueberries were located, we saw a sign that stated that blueberry picking was closed and that any blueberries picked would be charged around four dollars a pound or something ridiculous. But in any case, it is a beautiful u-pick farm with a variety of berries at a price you can't really beat. The only reason we would go for a more expensive farm further out is that this isn't a no-spray u-pick, so if you are going with young children or want to sample a berry prior to picking you may get some pesticide read more

Why did we not realize this place existed before this weekend? We've been in Oregon for two years and about to leave in another month and finally made it for berry picking thanks to our neighbor's tip (she has been going here for years). It was nice to drive a brief twenty minutes from where we live to the peaceful countryside...and such yummy berries--logan berries, marion berries, blueberries, and raspberries. We went on a Saturday and I was shocked at how much fruit there was for picking (the last time we had gone fruit picking for strawberries on Sauvie Island and it was disappointing how little there was...). And a big huge bucket of berries for only $1/pound. Also those that work here are quite friendly... with our limited weekends here, we'll definitely be back. read more

They run a large, commercial seeming u pick right off the road on the way to the quaint little town of Scholls. They have a good variety of berries - blue, rasp, marion, black and probably a few others, but for a scenic view there are a lot of picking places I find WAY more appealing. However, in a pinch and with little time to spare they are a reasonable place to take family and kids for a quick berry picking experience. No store, no animals to pet, just berries and people. Prices per u pick pound are 1.25 right now (July 2013) no matter what you are picking. Two word summary: No Frills. read more

Recently came here to go berry picking with a friend and had an awesome experience. I live in Portland, so the drive was kinda long, but really nice cuz it was super pretty. I have been to Unger Farms, Duyck's Peachy Pig and a few others...trust me...don't go anywhere else except to the Rowell Bros. for your local berries! Their prices are up to $0.50 cheaper than other places (summer 2014), their plants are stronger and healthier and it really shows that their rows are very clearly maintained with no weeds or obstructions as you walk down them. The people who work there are friendly and informative of their varieties, what's available and where exactly to find it (you would maybe say "duh" to this but I've been to farms where the guy behind the counter didn't even know where the rows of berries were that we were looking for). They have containers to purchase if you want, but I brought my own. There were even two port-o-potties which aren't glamorous I admit but there's a lot of farms that don't have ANYTHING. They are by FAR AND AWAY the highest quality berry for the cheapest price in the best setting. Definitely going to be a repeat customer. read more

Nothing but berries! No overpriced trinkets or baked goods. Just fresh ripe berries for the picking. I filled up two buckets with berries and paid only $10 for them! Whoa! I have never been berry picking before. It was so fun. The sign at the farm says the berries are "all you can eat" I guess while you are picking. What fun; sampling as we filled our buckets! It was addictive! We visited The Berry Barn right next door after we were done berry picking here. The Berry Barn, though very cute, is very commercial. Their shop is filled with yummy looking goodies and a very nice assortment of gifts and trinkets. All seem to be overpriced though; otherwise I would have bought a few things. It's a neat place to visit, but if I were going out with a plan of just berry picking, I would visit Rowell Bros farm first. Bring water though! It get's hot! There is a small covered area in back of the farm where a water cooler is kept, but alas...no cups provided! read more

I am addicted to blueberries! Thanks to the bf for finding this spot to pick (and eat as I pick) unlimited blueberries!!! I've never gone berry picking before, but now I wonder why I haven't -- considering that I was born and raised in Portland. :/ The berries here were big enough and deliciously sweet. This place is kind of far from where I live, but it was definitely worth the drive. I will neverrrrrr pick raspberries and blackberries again though. As mentioned earlier, this was my first time berry picking, so I don't know if you have to do something special to the berries or wash them a particular way. When i got home I immediately refrigerated the berries, but the next day I found a bunch of bugs embedded IN THE BERRIES and they were crawling around. I soaked the berries in water to get rid of the bugs, but when I poured the water out to dry off the berries the bugs were still there!!! Ew ew ew!! I dumped all the blackberries and raspberries after that because it grossed me out. It was unfortunate because the raspberries (and bugs) i did eat were delicious. They tasted much better than the ones purchased at the local grocery store. For me, never again for these blackberries and raspberries, but I will definitely return for my beloved blueberries!!!! If you know how to get rid of the buggers I recommend the raspberries, too! read more

This was my first time ever going blueberry picking! Decided to go on a very hot day but my family still had fun picking 2 buckets worth. At $1.35 a lb you can't go wrong! The blueberries are so much sweeter then anything you can buy at the grocery store. Even if you don't feel like picking your own you can still buy pre-packed flats, I believe. And if you so choose you can eat as you go along picking your berries. The farm also offers other types of berries...raspberries, marionberries, blackberries, among others. Remember to bring something to pack your berries in to take them home. Otherwise you can purchase the buckets you used to pick the berries for $1 each. This is definitely a place we will come back to. According to friends who are more seasoned at berry picking than I am this is one of the better farms to go to near Beaverton. Side note...if you bring kids be prepared for them to get dirty! You don't know how many kids we saw with berry juice smeared across their faces and clothes! read more

I saw this little farm on my way out to Newberg and knew I had to check it out. Who wouldn't want to pick berries in Blueberry Valley, as a cheerful sign designates them? A few days later I gathered up the boyfriend and off we went, eager to spend the afternoon berry picking. We arrived at 4, leaving plenty of time before the farm's 6pm closing time. There were closed signs in the gravel driveway. People were at the stand however, and we could clearly see other customers. We parked and approached the stand, and were told we could pick some berries, but only for 15 minutes because they were closing. When I asked why they weren't honoring the closing time posted on their website, we were told it was a slow day and they weren't going to stay open if there weren't any customers. Uh... Okay... You had customers right in front of you, ready to buy lots of berries. Not impressed. Go somewhere else, there are plenty of farms in the area that are not run by rude teenage girls. read more

I have picked in this field for the last time. The field may look nice, but the owner does not take care of it by spraying a pesticide to help in preventing the fruit from having small white worms. This year because of the virus you can't use your own bucket or bowl because they are not weighing the berries this year. Instead you have to buy their hallock for $3.00 or their buckets for $10.00. And if you want to pick more than 1 bucket you have to pay another $10.00. They doesn't provide plastic liners for their buckets like other field owners do. Twice now I have picked raspberries and marionberries and have put some in a bowl and put them in the refrigerator for fresh eating only to find small white worms all over the berries the next morning. What a waste of my money and my time. Be forewarned. You may not be getting the best quality for what you are paying for. read more

We pick a ridiculous amount of berries each year, from strawberries in June through late blackberries in August. We've been to a number of farms, but Rowell brothers is always one of our favorites. They have a huge variety of berries available (although not strawberries). Acres of blueberries mean that it's always easy picking, and we had wonderful marionberries last week. Their prices are always lower than the competition, this year at $1 / lb. They're not quite as good at the marketing as Smith Berry Barn just a half-mile down the road, and I must admit the lavender chocolate milkshakes there are a great draw. But for full-on berry picking, look no further. read more
