I love this park. Ive been coming for years since the 90's. Clean clean park. Great for walking dogs. Cool place to bring the family. 2 baseball fields. 2 full basketball courts. Great place to excercise. Great after school programs. Soccer and baseball leagues use this park for practices and games. Its a peaceful park and a great place to relax.

This park deserves 4 stars. It's located in a residential area w plenty of parking in the lot & on the street. They have a play structure area 4 the smaller kids & big kids. Also baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, bathroom, picnic area (gazebo area) w BBQ grills, & a recreational room. They offer daycare & free snacks 2 the kids. I always bring my kids here 2 play. Sometimes cops roll by & feels safer. The only thing I don't like is that they have wood chips in the playground. There's plenty of shade here.

MAIN BANQUET HALL RENTAL REVIEW…read more Pros: - room was spacious and clean. - rental came with 20 round tables and 10 rectangle tables that fit 10 chairs each and also included 200 chairs - they have a stage - they have a kitchen you can also rent for $67 extra but it comes with a huge fridge freezer and hotel size ice machine - semi-private playground is attached in the back which is hardly used by the public - plenty of parking but if the community center has classes going on those spaces will have to be shared so this can be a negative - restrooms are very clean Cons: - no mic system no speakers we brought our own - kitchen doesn't include their stove - you have to pay for a staff member to be there for your entire event time ($23/hr I think) - no alcohol allowed unless you hire and pay for security guards We booked the big banquet room on a Saturday for our son's birthday party and had a wonderful time. The security guard and most of the staff are nice. I had an issue with one of the worker (Jessica?) being rude to me over the phone. Basically I called and got permission from their office that I could store some drinks/food in the fridge the night before my party. But they didn't tell me their staff also used the same fridge and I guess someone almost ate our cupcakes. Not a big deal but Jessica called me and accused me of breaking their rules and tried to go off on me stating I would have to pay for another day or something crazy like that. Very unprofessional. Obviously whoever told me yes (guy who had a very sweet personality) lied to her and told her he never did such a thing Long story short- write your name on all your stuff in the fridge!!! They have a smaller room (130-140 people) to rent up at the playground level which was also a great option and a lot cheaper. There they offer an attached patio and kitchen as well with the room and have close access to the water park and playground. Also a great choice.

I was very offended. This call was made today 6/9 at 5:30 so I don't know who is answering the phone. It was a young gentleman, but to make an assumption That I could not afford something is not for him to decide. His responsibility was to give the information that I was inquiring about at least, allow me to explain what I was looking for and what organization it was for. Not only do I run a nonprofit, I'm a property owner in Hacienda Heights, community member and I think that was so insulting. I thanked him for his service and told him I could no longer further the conversation. I said my goodbye so I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. They're not interested in helping a community if they can insult and turn someone away without even knowing who they are and what their needs are. With everything going on in the world and in our own state, we need to be respectful to our community members. The reason I reached out was before I gave my money to another business outside my community. I thought I should inquire within my community because it would be most beneficial to give back to the community I am from. Whoever this young man is, I highly recommend that he does not answer the phone or do any type of customer service. He is rude and offensive.

But due to work, I have only been able to take a few classes throughout the years. But I do love the variety of classes that they offer and how constant their schedule is. If you are looking for a Japanese school for your child to attend, they offer that. If you would like to just learn more about the community through the different cultural classes, just sign up for the emails and you can be alerted for upcoming classes that they offer. I've taken amigurumi (crochet), ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), and a cooking class. All of the instructors are great and mostly volunteers. So it just shows you what a great community there is. They have festivals through the year and also help put on the West Covina Cherry Blossom Festival. They also host the West Covina obon at the center but it is organized by the Buddhist church which is based out of the community center. So there is just a lot of activities that you can get involved with.
