Walked in around noon on a Friday to an empty restaurant, that's usually not a good sign. Our server looked like she'd just rolled out of bed but at least she was there I suppose. There was also a young school aged girl sitting in a booth who was semi watching a little toddler (employees children I assume)? We had to listen to Miss Rachel sing Old McDonald & the toddler running around being loud. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. They had good tea, I will give them that. It's a nice place, it was clean & conveniently located downtown near other businesses - which is why I couldn't understand why they weren't busy. I guess the locals might know something I don't. We were the only ones there the entire time. I know good help is hard to find these days, so you may have to settle for what you can get, but your employees can also make or break you as well. First impressions are everything, and although we were just passing through, I don't think I'd go back.

Hubs ordered the ham and cheese omelet with a side of fruit (he's on some new diet kick). He said it was very flavorful with lots of cheese. His fruit was very fresh. As an after thought, I ordered the sourdough toast just to try it. So good! So buttery. It is hard to choose between the toast and biscuit. Both are winners. I cannot wait to come back here for lunch or dinner! I glanced at their menu, and their prices are super reasonable. The service was super friendly and attentive. The manager, Chris stays right up front and is a real hands on style manager. He makes sure that the customers are well taken care of by the wait staff( who are all friendly and knowledgeable as well as hard working). The decor is attractive and spotlessly maintained. The kitchen staff gets the food out very promptly and the bacon, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy were all cooked and seasoned to perfection! Everything was so good that I drove through a flooding deluge of rain and lightning to eat there the next morning! Chris remembered me(after only one visit) and greeted me by name! It seems like that they have a lot more dining space too. I don't know if we really ever been charged extra for any condiments, I know that when we asked for extra butter or something like that we have received plenty of it. When I had a food choice dilemma, the server usually would give me both if it was a small order of something at no extra cost. They always go the extra mile to satisfy us. Today we even paid for an elderly couple's bill, and slid out the door without them knowing about their bill being take care of by us. Hopefully it made their day. We can't afford to do that often, but if we see a Veteran or an elderly couple, just our way of thanking them without them knowing who did it. But we love the new location and as always tip the staff well when they do good.
