If I could give zero stars, I would…read more In my opinion, our experience with this company represents exactly the kind of towing practice that gives the industry such a terrible reputation. The vehicle they towed is driven by an elderly, disabled woman who has lived at this apartment complex for approximately 10 years and has a valid handicap placard. The handicap space is beside a raised curb and sidewalk on the driver's side. Because of her mobility limitations, she needs enough clearance to open her door and safely exit the vehicle, so she parked toward the opposite side of the space. Was part of the vehicle over the painted line? Yes. I'm not hiding that, and we have photographs documenting exactly how the vehicle was parked. But does that reasonably warrant towing an elderly disabled resident's vehicle and charging $330, rather than giving her a warning or an opportunity to move it? She wasn't someone without a handicap placard improperly using a space reserved for a disabled person. She IS the disabled person the handicap space exists to accommodate. That's what makes this so upsetting. There is a difference between enforcing parking rules intended to protect accessibility and, in my opinion, using a disabled resident's attempt to accommodate her own mobility needs as an opportunity to tow her vehicle and collect more than $300. And unfortunately, this isn't our first experience with this company. In November 2025, this exact same vehicle was towed from this same apartment complex for what we believe was essentially the same minor parking issue. We complained and posted unfavorable reviews about our experience. According to our recollection, we were then offered a discounted rate on the condition that we remove our negative Google and Facebook reviews. We agreed. We removed them. We paid the reduced amount and let the matter go. We shouldn't have. Because here we are again, less than a year later: same vehicle, same apartment complex, another minor parking issue, another tow, and another $300+ charge. This time, we're not removing anything in exchange for a discount, and we're not quietly accepting what happened. We're documenting everything. We have photographs of how the vehicle was parked, and we're requesting the company's photographs and documentation as well. We intend to pursue this matter through the appropriate channels. What makes this even more concerning is that our experience does not appear to exist in a vacuum. I encourage anyone considering this company--and any property manager considering contracting with them--to read the Google, Facebook, and BBB complaints/reviews and draw their own conclusions. I can't speak for anyone else's experience. I can speak for ours. And after having the same vehicle towed twice in less than a year, and after our experience surrounding the removal of our previous negative reviews, I personally consider this company's towing practices unnecessarily aggressive, predatory, and deeply troubling. A warning would have cost nothing. Allowing a long-term resident an opportunity to move the vehicle would have cost nothing. Exercising a little discretion and compassion toward an elderly disabled woman would have cost nothing. Instead, it cost her $330. Based on everything we've experienced, I've made my judgment. I also contacted the car rental company to let them know what was going on. The rental car company called them and the fee had increased to $638 in a matter of minutes. Kingston added several fees because they are MAD I called the property where I live. I would never do business with a company that lacks a professional business demeanor and is outright nasty and retaliatory. They cannot be trusted and lack integrity. They even answered the phone and hung up the call twice. After a few more attempts dispatch finally answers the call with a rude demeanor. He didn't answer all of my questions because he decided to hang on me. I was not rude or belligerent at any point. I was just trying to understand the process because I had never been towed before. Fast forward to the next morning I find out that my car along with 2 other cars had been towed and that the apartment complex has Kingston MotoWerks come in at night a few times each week to tow cars. My issues comes with being told one price in order to get my car but being told something different once I arrived. I was told 300 dollars, but I was charged 340 dollars. Second issue that if you are going to be dispatch don't have an attitude with people that are calling attempting to get information about their vehicle. Dispatch is also the owner and from what I have been informed he is rude with everyone. I do not recommend this business and recommend the residents of Saint Andrew's Commons to be aware. The entire process and partnership between Saint Andrew's Commons and Kingston MotoWerks is very sketchy.
