The ONLY criteria on our carpet installation was that LOMAS send installers who could produce a decent seam, on the most costly carpet in the store. We asked the Saleslady, as well as the Install Dispatcher to PLEASE send the "A" Team. I even gave each installer a $100.00 "TIP" and made it clear all I wanted was "Decent" seams. What we got was the WORST, high, over-lapping, visible seams in the decades we've lived here. When we had a look, I called them back to send SOMEONE who could fix the worst "In your face" visible seam. The Troubleshooter had one look, laughed, and stated he needed to order a 20' long plug, in order to fix the HATCHET JOB of an "Overlapped" seam. Weeks later, we had to move the furniture AGAIN, and they installed a second rug, with a PROPER seam, that we'd expected the first time. We now tell anyone with a pair of ears to steer clear of LOMAS. We just ordered carpeting for the rest of the house, with ZERO consideration of ever returning to "Roy's Boys" read more

When I agreed to get work done, they said I would pay half now, half after installing. At the end of installation I asked for my balance and paid it directly to the installer by check. Months and months later they send me a bill for 500$. I am sorry about the crappy conversation I had with the billing department. The communication has been so bad for the full process, but l could have been nicer. I was happy that it cost less when I was told I was paying my balance in February. Being told in June I still have a balance and they now are going back to the original amount is upsetting. Really though, if you want an unclear billing process, to talk to 8 different people throughout the install, work done poorly (they had to make a repair), being lied to, etc, then pick this company. read more

We built a brand new home and Roy Lomas installed the carpets. You can see the seams in just about every room. They have been out twice and you can still see the seems. About 10 years ago they installed carpets at our other home and you could not see a seam anywhere. We will never purchase carpets from them again. They have 3 stars for a reason. Buyer beware. Very unhappy with all aspects of this flooring company from sales to installation to after sales service. I have had many hardwood floors over the years, and can attest to this being the very worst quality ever and the very worst install job I have ever seen. I could have done a far better install, and I am not a professional. Must give them credit for trying to salvage a mess, but who needs the drama? If you pay for a product, you should get a decent product, not a substandard product and a batch of excuses. read more

Sales and staff in the showroom are terrific and courteous. I think I got a good value on the carpet and it looks good as well as feeling good under foot with the new padding. My problem is with the install crew. They were courteous and friendly but shortly after arriving with masks on proceeded to work without them over two days. They also weren't removing shoes after entering. It's been a month since install and we haven't been struck with Covid but I was crossing my fingers for a few weeks. I am still finding scuffs on furniture and walls, gouges in walls, crushed magnetic closures in a cabinet, even a split baseboard. No one came and told me anything had been damaged, it's just something I get left with I guess. But now I wish I had gone with someone else who might use a crew who takes more care. read more

Horrible horrible!! From being 5 hours late and doing a horrible job of installing I was really upset with the whole process! The worst part was when I called the installer out on his poor installation, he cursed at me!! When I went in to the store the next day to complain the store manager called me a liar and said it never happened! I just had a professional redo and replace the bad carpeting job and he said it's the worst carpet installation he has ever seen, there were so many nails and staples that wood has to be replaced! Worst carpet people on the planet! Worst par, they don't care if you are not satisfied, as long as they got your money! read more

Wow... Can't anyone greet you when you walk in? You stand there and hope they look up from their desks. Was there 2x in a week and I basically had to ring a bell to get them to stop pounding their calculators. We've gotten carpets from Lomas for years and although we've had great service when they deliver, they really don't go out of their way to help or be friendly. Scott and Rob, only helpful ones in the whole bunch. Terrible initial service. Shame. read more

Roy Lomas Carpets has definitely gone downhill in reputation over the past several years. It may once have been the reputable carpet dealer in the Harleysville and surrounding areas, but not any more, in my opinion. After scratches to my newly painted walls, carpet trimming that was not done properly, and the mess they left before running out of the house, they offered me a very minimal amount of money as a solution. I feel that their customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and I will never deal with them again. They also charge way too much for comparable carpet at other dealers. read more

I would give them zero stars if it let me.. We bought a brand new townhome with THP Properties. Lomas Carpet was the carpet place. We picked out our flooring and all was fine, carpet and flooring installed looked good at move in. After not even a year we noticed the carpet pulling away from the tack strip area near the kitchen. The carpet pulled away more and more over time, threads started to show and as I vacuumed carpet ripped. One day I vacuumed over a spot and it pulled the threads into the vacuum and created two bigger holes. After the quarantine, I called THP Property to have our yearly walk through. They had Lomas come out. The man who was here seemed annoyed he had to repair the carpet and annoyed with his job. He claimed he could stretch the carpet to fix it but not in the one area where the bigger rips were. He said he would have to speak to someone at Lomas at come back to most likely patch it with carpet from my closet and put a different color carpet in the closet patch, since they probably don't have this color anymore. A few days go by and when we go to move something we realize when he stretched the carpet it pulled it away on the opposite side of the room, under our windows. So now we have a huge one inch gap all along there. So I call THP to let Lomas know that has to be repaired also and when called back was told that Lomas believes that their carpet couldn't just come apart like it did and it most be our dog.. A dog we literally got two months ago, after this issue had happened already. So now we are fighting with THP and Lomas. And, when posted in a neighborhood page, I have found out several other homeowners all have the same issues with their Lomas installed flooring, carpets and hardwood! DO NOT BUY FROM LOMAS! They do not know how to install and then when it starts to separate and tear from walking or a vacuum, they blame it on anything they can to try and get out of repairing it. Way to NOT stand by your flooring.We won't ever use them again and shame on THP for trying to blame us and not the carpet. Looks like we will be filing soon with the Better Business Bureau and anywhere we can to get help. read more

I had a very tight deadline to accomplish as much as I could for the estate of my mother while on leave. As I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Rob Freeto and explained I needed carpet prior to leaving for my operational commitments. I was brought to the back and was overwhelmed with their large selection, but Rob gave me several recommendations that where cost effective and was easy to narrow down to the best fit for her home. I had carpet selected and date confirmed within 20 minutes from walking in the door. I am thankful that the gentleman in the back was able to pull several strings to accomplish carpet installation within a small time window and the gentleman that came to my home to take measurements. I feel bad that I opened the door and did not have the time to walk him through, but he knew what to do and I continued on with fixing my mother's house. The carpet installation went well and Lisa gave me a follow up call shortly thereafter. I really appreciate going above and beyond for me. read more

Roy Lomas to the rescue!!!! From my purchase to installation, these guys are THE BEST!!!! On the day I was to pick up, I didn't have access to the truck I needed. When I called in a panic, since I was having furniture delivered the same day, Bob took care of me! He had his guys deliver the rug I ordered and they were here within an hour of my call!!!!!! I don't usually write reviews, unless service was either amazing or terrible. Well my service here was AMAZING! I had one hiccup in the beginning because I noticed they still use a lot of hand written paperwork instead of a computerized system so there was miscommunication between the ordering and scheduling departments but once I called to see what was happening, my sales rep Bob was on it immediately, I got a call to schedule within 2 hours , and they scheduled to come out 2 days later. Now they told me they would arrive between 730 and 8 they were here at 730 on the dot. The installers were extremely friendly and professional, and they had the whole job removal and installation complete in 1.5 hours. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received and I will use Roy Lomas again for future flooring needs. Thank you! read more

Very poor experience. We are renovating a rec room and had a limited but reasonable budget for carpet. The space is not huge 12x16. Salesperson Frank was very unhelpful. Basically told us that there were 2 carpets in entire store that would work for our budget, and the cost for installation for the small space would be $280! We decided to take a look at the remnants because they advertise those a lot. Frank lead us to the room but was no help - despite the fact that we literally were the only customers in the store. He basically chatted with other employees while we scoured the room trying to find a size that would work. We then went directly to Lowe's Lansdale and had a great experience. The salesperson worked with our budget and showed us many options that would work. He was very knowledgeable about the different products, and took the time to find out what our needs were. We came in under budget (including installation) and got beautiful carpet! Lomas priced high and poor customer service. read more
