It was slow on a Wed evening and I felt relaxed to enjoy my dinner and book. Service was attentive and efficient, while mindful that I was clearly in no rush. Highly recommend the Old Fashioned - it was perfection. Added filet to my salad and ordered a side of Mac & enjoyed every bite!

Cool, except... half the tables were sitting there just waiting to be used. We ask about eating at the bar--nope, "not allowed." We walk in to order a drink while we wait and people are happily feasting at the bar. Before we could even sip the drinks we ordered, our table was suddenly ready. It was like the restaurant gods flipped a switch: awkward start over, let the good times roll. From then on, the night was smooth sailing. Our server was a rockstar. Attentive, friendly, and somehow always appearing right when we needed them. Now let's talk food. The mac and cheese. Oh. My. Goodness. Forget everything you thought you knew about mac and cheese. This wasn't a side dish--it was a life event. Creamy, cheesy perfection that deserves its own fan club. I'd come back just for that bowl of happiness. So yes, the beginning was a little sitcom-worthy, but Millstone redeemed itself in a big way. Great vibe, great food, and a must-visit in downtown Richmond. If you haven't been, stop depriving yourself and go already.

The shear number of bottles on the bar will keep your eyes moving about and hard to focus on anything else. For food, I had the wagyu meatballs and couscous salad. This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.

Yummy sushi, but also, yummy pub food? A win for me…read more I've enjoyed a nice beer at their small bar that feels like a whole in the wall, but recently I ordered out sushi and a cheesesteak - and where else could I get such a combo, but Drafthouse? The sushi was fresh and stacked--an excellent serving. I particularly liked my Spicy Storm: tempura salmon, jalapeno, cucumber with spicy crab and avocado, eel sauce, and wasabi sauce on top. Nice kick, cooled off by the crab and avocado. Great crunch, as well! The sleeper win was the cheesesteak. I went with chicken, which I rarely do. At first bite, I was a little confused, because the flavor isn't the Philly style I'm used to. I realized there were bits of bacon (says that on the menu-whoops), but it didn't over power the flavor, it add almost a sweet smokiness. And their beer cheese? SO GOOD.

It was still hopping, so I guess others had the same idea we did. I ordered the River City burger- pepper jack cheese, tempura jalapeño, egg, & river city sauce. I think it was special for burger week and not normally on their menu, but it should be. It was delicious! Added fries to my order & they were hot, & crispy. Beer prices were a bit pricy- even a burger week special wasn't, IMO, a special. Their location on Bardstown means it's a pain the butt to find parking, but that's true of all bardstown businesses. Not necessarily a deal breaker; Just another layer to think about when going to eat here. I definitely hope to go back to try their sushi & sashimi options.

The inside is like an industrial style bar & the murals & decor were interesting and quirky. I really loved their chicken katsu sandwich, very thick and tender. Nicely made!! I enjoyed their kale salad mixed with toppings. My partner order the burger and that was delicious, their patty is thin which I prefer for burgers & they had a spicy mayo and smoked ketchup which paired well with both entrees! definitely has a kick to it! I would love to eat here again & try other items on the menu, I definitely want to give the Cuban sandwich a try.

Visited Grind Burger Kitchen in Louisville during a family trip and had a pretty mixed experience…read more We arrived around 6:30 PM and were told there would be about an hour wait, which was fine--we're new to town, so we figured we'd walk around and explore while we waited. We were told to come back at 7:00 PM, so we did. When we returned, we were seated, but then told it would be another hour before our order could even be taken and our food brought out. That part was really frustrating--if we had known that upfront when we first put our name down, we could have planned differently. As for the food, it was decent. The burger itself was delicious and definitely the highlight. The fries were very oily but crispy--I personally liked them since I prefer well-done fries, but my daughter wasn't a fan. The layout of the place was also a bit confusing--it took a while to even find the restroom since it was tucked away in another area. Service-wise, I also had to ask for a refill--and only got one--which was disappointing, especially with such a big burger. Overall, spending close to three hours from arrival to finishing our meal just didn't feel worth it, especially with the lack of communication about wait times and limited service. Not a terrible spot food-wise, but the experience could definitely be improved.
