This is the best Chinese buffet I have found in Fargo. It may be 4-5 dollars more than the other one, but well worth it. Found it to be clean, well laid out and a good assortment of everything. No empty pans like the other buffet. Very friendly staff also. read more

Great value for a buffet, especially if you go during lunch. I especially love the sesame chicken, though the honey chicken and peanut chicken's sweetness makes them family favorites. There's your American-Chinese food staples like cream cheese wontons and lo mein noodles, but also some less common Chinese offerings like boiled prawns and a personal favorite of mine, the pork wonton soup, whose wonderfully warm and simple chicken broth perfectly caps a meal along with a scoop of green tea ice cream, also offered along with a few other flavors. Service is minimal since it's a buffet, but comes often enough to fill waters and such. The interior isn't notable in either a positive or negative way, which is just fine. There's TVs on at all times around various corners of the store, and some cute Chinese-themed decor as well. read more

We went on a Sunday at 1pm. The food selection had the usual fare like chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, and fried rice but also had quite a few seafood options like crab cakes, shrimp and mussels along with mince different sushi rolls. Nice desert selection and quality self serve tube ice cream. There are even had pizza and fries. The staff kept the options topped off even with the heavy afternoon rush. Used plates were quickly removed from tables and drinks refreshed. So many great options. Make sure to wear your stretchy pants. :) the dining area was quiet enough to have a conversation. Great Chinese Buffet. This is your typical all you can eat self serve buffet but very neat and clean. They have Sushi as well and the food tastes great. I am so happy I found this place. The staff is courteous and overall service is great as well. It offers a huge variety of foods and options. Overall the best Chinese buffet I have dined at. I highly recommend trying it out. In Fargo yesterday and had a desire for Chinese food and decided to try the new place on 32nd Ave which I had read a brief review about. Walked in and most impressed on greeting by staff and by the overall cleanliness of the whole restaurant and the layout of the food. I am usually not too overwhelmed by Chinese buffets, but I have to admit this was one of the best ones I have ever been to.. Lots of selections and all presented in a most clean and appetizing manner. I tried the hot and sour soup and also the egg drop soup and both full of flavor and enjoyed. Then on to other sections and there were many. The pork dumplings were so good as well as some other stir fry combinations. Perhaps some of the chicken dishes tended to be somewhat the same, but there was a great variety of choices on those. There was a separate sushi bar and it all looked like it was made in house and presented in a most attractive manner. There were perhaps 7 or 8 selections, three maybe with cream cheese which I am not a fan of. To me it throws off the real taste of the sushi and I just take a pass always on the cream cheese options. A nice dessert selection and six kinds of dip your own ice cream. Overall the whole dining experience very much a plus and I will return for sure. I overate for sure, but the food was so good and I wanted to try many different selections. This place in clean, has a lot of food selections on the buffet bars. The food is hot and diverse. The staff is pleasant and helpful. They had so many of my favorite dishes here. I'm not typically a fan a buffets of any sort. That being said, having this place in the neighborhood has been a great addition. While it doesn't have and endless array of options, it does have a little something for everyone and the quality is quite good. We've been three times in a couple months - consistent quality, friendly staff and was busier each visit with happy smiling guests. I love this place! Always has fresh food with a welcoming environment, I love to give it a full 5 stars! Only thing that's stopping me is the fact you get a soda when you sit down, but when it comes to getting a refill your out of luck. My table and a few other tables were looking for a waiter or waitress for a refill, we eventually had to get up and ask the lady at the front desk for a refill. The waiting staff seemed to be on a lunch and ignoring customers. Now before you come at me saying everyone deserves a break, I realize that. But when it's busy having all staff off the floor on lunch is not acceptable. I do want to add that the lady at the front was very nice and apologetic about the situation. So if you're looking for fresh buffet food the royal buffet is you place, but drink your drink slowly because it will be awhile for your refill. read more

I have frequently been disappointed by the Chinese buffets in the Fargo/moorhead area and had very low hopes for Royal Buffet but I am pleasantly surprised by what I found when I ate there. The food was hot and delicious and obviously fresh. I saw multiple plates being changed while I was dining and nothing was left to get too cold. The service was impeccable and kind. I never felt rushed or disrespected, it was a respectful family atmosphere all throughout. The decorations were tasteful and added to the overall ambience. And again, the food was the best from a buffet I have had in a VERY long time. I would beyond recommend this place. read more
