We were driving in our Yukon xl on the interstate from New Orleans when our car stopped accelerating. We had 3 kids and a dog with us. We pulled to the side and finally got it restarted and got off I-10 on the Siegen exit. The check engine light came on and we started getting texts to SERVICE TRANSMISSION IMMEDIATELY. We drove by a Chevy dealership first. Called them and explained our situation. They said they couldn't help us til Monday. This was Saturday morning. We kept driving and came across Royal Buick GMC. We pulled into the service department. They immediately diagnosed our problem. They completed the repair in less than an hour and it was under warranty so we didn't owe anything. My 2017 50th edition Chevrolet Camaro was entrusted in the care of Royal Buick GMC, located on 11055 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816, for repairs on January 29, 2024. We were promised the return of the vehicle the next day, January 30, 2024. The same vehicle, 2017 50th edition Chevrolet Camaro, has had the same repairs that were needed, completed successfully before by the same dealership repair service, upon purchase and financing of the vehicle. The Camaro was originally purchased from Royal Nissan, 9325 Airline Hwy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815, November 9, 2021, which from my understanding and according to The Louisiana State Secretary Business listings, are both under the same management and registered agent. The purchase and repair experience was great and effortless at that time, November 9, 2021. I commend the saleswoman, Ashlyn. My 2017 50th edition Chevrolet Camaro was brought to Royal Buick GMC, located on 11055 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816, for repairs on Monday, January 29, 2024. With the promise of return the next day, Tuesday, January 30, 2024. My husband, Robert E. Booker Jr contacted repair service for an update on repair and to arrange pick up of our vehicle. He was told the repairs were delayed because they were short staffed and behind. We were then promised the return and repair of our vehicle the following day which was Wednesday, January 31, 2024. My husband then called Wednesday, January 31, 2024 and received no answer. However, my husband received a text message from "Royal Buick GMC". The text message thread between my husband and Royal Buick GMC Service Department has been attached. Royal Buick GMC did not contact after that text message to follow up on the repairs of our vehicle. Friday, February 2, 2024 at approximately 9:45 am my husband and I receive a call from Detective Lathrop of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff Department stating our 2017 50th edition Chevrolet Camaro has been stolen from Royal Buick GMC February 2, 2024 at 3:14 am. We were told by Detective Lathrop, upon reviewing the camera, a white Chevrolet Corvette (newer model) with no plates pulled into the open gates of the dealership. The driver's side of the Corvette pulled next to the driver's side door of my 2017 50th edition Chevrolet Camaro, someone hooded exited the passenger's side of the white Chevrolet Corvette, breaks my driver's side window, enters my vehicle and exits less than 5 seconds. Possibly due to a new capability used by car thieves. Again, we did not hear from Royal Buick GMC. During the phone conversation with the detective, General Manager Terrence Scott did attempt to call my husband's and my phone. After the conversation with the detective, my husband and I did call GM Terrence Scott back. We were greeted with a "Hello, I'm sorry I was at my daughter's Honor Roll breakfast." GM Terrence Scott repeated this several times as an excuse for not reaching us before the detective when our car was under the care and supervision of his dealership. I did try to reach out to someone at Royal Buick GMC by phone requesting an explanation for such neglect before speaking with GM Terrence Scott. I was told the GM was not available, they will put me in touch with the Assistant Manager Richie Sibley. Mr. Sibley was of no assistance, clueless, and obviously afraid to make a move without first consulting with the GM Terrence Scott. During the phone conversation with General Manager Terrence Scott, myself, and my husband, on February 2, 2024, around 10:30 am. He explained that he was sleep when the alarm went off on February 2, 2024, at 3:14 am, notifying him and the dealership that suspicious activity occurred at the Royal Buick GMC dealership. He explained the East Baton Rouge Sheriff were then notified and assessed the suspicious activity. I have provided the incident report number 24-005597. Detective Lathrop was then assigned the case and it is still an open case. I then asked GM Terrence Scott for a loaner car from the dealership or any compensation due to their negligence, he refused. GM Terrence Scott was very rude, lacked empathy, very cold, and matter of fact. He came off as if he did not care or wanted to accept any accountability for the delay of repairs that resulted in my car being on display for an extended amount of time, and it being stolen. When asked why we were notified by the detective first and why we did not hear this news first from the dealership, he then proceeded to use the excuse of his daughter's honor roll breakfast. When asked about the chain of command when he is not available, he stated, "Don't none of those men make a move without me or without going through me first." With that being said, he asked us to go through our insurance, we refused, and I told him he would be hearing from our attorney. Service review for an oil change Dec 2023. Todays experience with Royal GMC service in Baton Rouge, LA was service number 4 and I will honestly say it will be the final time I ever use this dealership service for ANY reason at all. The service at this dealership is a complete disaster and a failure which is a direct indication of the lack of leadership from the service manager. Absolutely shameful that current problems have been consistently occurring for almost 12 months. Before I write my review on what went wrong today, I do have to give credit to Hannah (service front desk). Without her help and consistent apologies, this review would have been a zero stars. Hannah went above and beyond to help clean the mess that was left behind by the service technician. Absolutely nothing that occurred today was her fault, in fact she deserves all the praise and credit because she was the only employee who cared enough to provide a solid customer experience. The service technicians at this dealership DO NOT treat your car with respect. today was the second consecutive time in which grease and oil from the technicians hands were left all over the interior of the car. The seats, door panels and center arm rest was covered with oil and grease. Once I brought my concerns up to Hannah she sprinted into action attempting to make the situation better by cleaning up after the technicians. A complete disappointment with every level of management at this dealership. I've purchased 3 vehicles from 3 separate dealerships here in Baton Rouge & Royal Buick has been the WORSE!!! I purchased a vehicle from here July 11th , my sales person name was Kyri Hart. I purchased a used truck and needed a couple things replace like the weather strip and sun visor which they assured me wouldn't take long to come in about 2 days and they'll give me a call once it gets in . It's 11 days later , still nothing .. I've been emailing Kyri since July 12 , not about the parts but because leaving the dealership I noticed my oil change light was on and my gas light was on . I've emailed him about 5 times on separate dates and have yet to receive a response . So i called the dealership and a worker in service assured me that these things should have been taken care of before i received the car . I also asked about my parts that were supposed to be ordered he knew nothing of it . I've been calling the dealership since Tuesday trying to get in contact with a manager . Every single time i call they transfer me , no one answers and it goes to voicemail so I'd call back and speak to the receptionist to transfer me to somewhere else . Every single time i call , someone tell me that they're going to either give my name and number to my sales person to contact me back (Kyri) or to the sales manager to contact me back ... here we are 3 days later , just got off the phone with the receptionist again because the manager didn't answer AGAIN & was told they would relay a message . The communication is HORRIBLE. This is very UNPROFESSIONAL & not a good look at all . Apparently I'm going to have to go up to the dealership to handle this situation . Do better!!! read more

This dealership has the worst administrative staff ever! Their GM is useless. We have been waiting since Jan for our tags. They didn't do the proper paperwork and then the GM (and this is a exact quote) "well your dealing with them goverment workers" I tried for 2 months at different times to get customer service and was hung up on 5 times. I got no answers from anyone until I posted on their social media. GMC has gone downhill. I have been buying from them for years. Wish I hadn't and won't ever again.
