This was my first time going to the theater. They are more expensive than the theater across the street but the start time of the movie worker better so my friend and I gave them a try. Our movie was in a TINY theater but the seats were comfy. The employees were nice at the ticket counter and consessions. When our movie let out it was like we were in a ghost town. I understand that they were no longer selling movie tickets but they had all the lights turned out in the entire lobby. It was dark and I didn't feel safe. We went to the bathrooms in the lobby and we almost thought we walked in the men's room by mistake because the bathroom smelled awful! Everyone coming in kept commenting that the whole place smelled like pee. I think I'll stick with the cleaner, cheaper, bigger theater across the street. read more

I love this theater. The people are friendly and it's locally owned. They have AWESOME food in the bar area and they serve wine and beer!!!! Imagine this: you're taking yourself out on a nice date. You arrive early to buy your ticket and sit down for a nice glass of Malbec. You order a delicious pizza and stroll on in to the theater with comfortable, stadium-style seating. You watch a fabulous movie on the IMAX screen with amazing sound. It's about the best self-date night imaginable! In short, I love it here. I go here for every movie I can. read more

We live in Pooler and are so happy to have Royal Cinemas here! A clean, safe entertainment complex right in our backyard with no need to fight traffic into Savannah! I went to try out the dinner and a movie theater, and let's just say I was underwhelmed. I had grand visions in my mind of steak or pork loin and a nice brew while I took in a movie with all the full-on effects and sounds... So much for that idea. The booth seating was nice and being able to enjoy a beer or glass of wine was a plus. However, the menu selections were typical bowling alley fare, hardly complimentary of the beverages we had and failed to complete the "dinner" theater theme. While the chicken fingers and sandwiches are more than most theaters offer, if they want to really create the dinner theater feel, they really need to go all-out to provide that experience... This particular concept is poor in its execution, rivaling what I would expect from some dingy bowling alley or skating rink. I would rather rent a movie and have a great meal at home than do this again. read more

IMAX!!! It's the only place in this area to watch giant 3D Movies. They also have a dinner theater with a bar. Mom and dad can have a glass of wine at the bar while the kiddos play some video games in the lobby until the show starts. The staff is friendly and the place is always clean! Not like some of these theaters that leave spilled drinks on the floor and pop corn all over the place. Love this place. It's the only theater in town that I'll visit! read more

My beau and I went here to see A Good Day to Die Hard in the IMAX theater here. What an experience!! The theater seats were incredible and the surround sound astounding. As a current sound design student, I was blown away! There will be many more movies in the future that I will watch here. The front lobby is wonderful, too. Not to mention the staff are very personable (when I lost my wallet after the movie they turned the lights on to help us find it and were very nice in general). Though it is on the pricey side, it is so worth it. Makes movies 10 times better for sure! Will definitely be coming back in the future! read more

This was the worst theater experience I have ever had! I love the other Pooler theater and in California I used to frequent a theater that had stadium seating with a bar and grill in it where you could order in the theater and they will serve you restaurant style or you could start in the bar and take your items with you, so I went into this theater with expectations of something similar. Our movie was 45 mins from start time so we started at the bar. Exciting right? No. Probably should have gotten drinks because the food was not good to us. It was like grabbing a sandwich at a gas station...didn't move any of us. Movie time came we had paid extra to have the IMAX experience. Walked into the theater excited and just about lost our "lunch" instantly. It smelled like a porta-potty. I wanted to leave but the rest of my crew wanted to stick it out hoping the smell would fade. I went and told the ticket taker who said she would send her manager to deal with it. Didn't see him before the movie started or after. The smell did not fade. I had to spray some napkins and hold them at my nose the entire length of the promos and movie. My son said their regular theater never smelled like that when he was there. I will have to take his word for it because I will not be making a repeat appearance here. The other Pooler theater is my favorite one in the entire greater Savannah area and I will stick to going there. read more

I'm not into theatres, but I know the deal. This place is exceptionally overpriced across the board to start, the "grille" is nothing more than a few appetizers and crappy beer and wine with insane prices, but I can get past that, and did - and then I got into the actual theatre. it bloody reeks of urine, and not just like - where I'm sitting, we've moved a few places and the whole room stinks. as more people come on in the smell kind of changes to a mix of urine and redneck. I can smell the menthol "dip" and hear it getting spit right behind me, but I can't vape? People are loud and their banter about the film is really grade school. not a good hangout spot unless you're looking to drop a fortune on a half ass and really nasty smelling experience. I'm probably going to go ahead and vape a little just to cover the smell until this nightmare experience is over. please theatre, a little air freshener between screenings goes a long way - and as for humans... please, bathe before you pack yourselves into a magic picture box. two stars simply because the service was friendly and let us play around with our ticket times to get perfectly drunk before coming in. read more

This movie theater would have gotten 5 stars because it's one of our favorites but we went to see our movie on Friday night and the lights stayed on. Bummer because I really was comfortable in my recliner and enjoyed my very own vanilla root beer and watching a scary movie. What would have been better? A dark theater. The upper pot hole lights never dimmed and shined like the sun on the screen. Made for the darker parts of our great movie unable to see. When we went to get someone to let them know, the gentleman said oh those stay on. Confused, we decided to stay and finish the movie. But our friends went to a different theater the next night and had a dark theater and a better experience. Maybe next time Royal! read more

SInce wathcing Skyfall in IMAX the other day, now I am a huge fan of IMAX. Big D in Savannah cant even come close to it. I absolutely loved this theatre, it was awesome to actually order a beer (the only bad thing is that you have finish the drink and cant take it outside the restaurant). The staff was very friendly and the theatre was top notch and very comtemporary compare all the theatres in the area. IMAX lobby was impressive as well. The IMAX ticket was a little expensive ($17), but it was totally worth it. Cant wait to watch The Hobbit in IMAX 3d. read more

Lately there's no person at the ticket booth & you have to wait on line at concessions to buy a ticket. However, they are kids & not paying attention to the customers. I watched 4 people walk over & look at the kids behind the counter then just walk straight to the theater... Without paying for ticket. No one was there to take tickets. I doubt this industry will be around much longer. It would have a chance if they would make them all dinner theaters. But they always put the worst movie at that place. In Texas we had great experience in a dinner theater. They better do something now or we will not have a place to go for date night. BTW kids do not appreciate the opportunity to have a job anymore. Customer service... Not so good. Little bar was good & chicken tenders not so bad. Just make it so we can eat & watch movie in the other theaters... Pretty nice place considering it not being one of the bigger major movie theater franchises. Really liked the "industrial look" once we walked in. Refreshments, price wise, were on par with all the other places and the theaters were nice and clean. Only thing was the A/C seemed to shut off mid movie and it was a little warm. Okay, overall the theater is great,i only go IMAX but.... The theater is FREEZING!!! Now I get that you need to keep a healthy temperature to keep down germs however, when the hands and nose of yourself and your date are soo cold you want to leave the theater. That indicates the temperature is just too low. Please, there has to be a medium between 40degrees and healthy. read more
