We, my elderly dad and I, needed transportation to the Lubbock Airport. I searched on Yelp for services and contact Royal Coach. Ernest returned my call in a timely manner and was friendly yet professional. Ernest was extremely helpful by loading our bags and being so patient. We had numerous suitcases and an adult walker, and my dad struggled to walk to the car. Ernest's kindness was an amazing. He made sure to get a sky cap and a wheelchair for my dad at the airport. I called the Royal Coach land line and left a message. Almost immediately I got a text from them. When my meeting was over, I spoke with Ernest and told him I needed a 5:15 AM pickup for an early airline departure. He was professional and pleasant. He arrived about 5 min early. His car was what I like to see riding in the dark with someone I don't know on streets I don't know. It was heavy American steel with a luxury interior. A 15 year old Lincoln Continental in perfect condition and spotlessly clean. I don't roll the dice with Uber and get a nutty driver in a Geo Metro. If I ran a coach service, this is the equipment I would operate. I think he has several of these. Large trunk. Dependable. He drove confidently. Safe and purposeful. If I needed transportation in LBB during his operating hours, I would not use anyone else. My parents are 90 years old and I would trust Earnest with them. That is all you need to know. read more

I luckily walked out of lubbock airport and asked these guys if they were able to take me to my destination and Mingo said no problem. The rate was a flat rate which was really surprising and awesome. I jumped in ASAP and he was so kind and friendly. He said he was taking someone close by my stop so I could ride along. He gave me recommendations on where to eat and recommended his services when I need to get back to the airport. I wish all taxis and cabs were this easy and friendly and cost efficient. Thanks guys for welcoming me to Lubbock so kindly. I usually loathe dealing with taxis and the drivers but this was a breeze. Yesterday I had need of a cab so I called Yellow Cab. The ride to my destination was a little under 4 miles and the fare was $11.00. When it was time to return home, the establishment where I was insisted on calling Royal Coach. The same route was followed and the fare was $20.00. I sent an email to Royal Coach complaining for charging almost double that of Yellow Cab. Today I received a very condescending email from Ernest explaining the distance traveled. I have lived in Lubbock probably longer than he has been alive. Then he continued his arrogant attitude by telling me how much better his service was than any of his competitors, which my experienced has been that it certainly is not one whit better. My message to anyone who reads this is to check with other cab companies and compare everything they offer especially rates. One thing for certain, I will never ride anywhere with Royal Coach again. I noticed that Yelp listed that I am from California. I have lived in Lubbock for 49 years and it also said I have 0 friends where as I have 174. I needed to get from UMC to the Lubbock Airport for a return flight back to SFO. I started looking around online for airport shuttles, etc, and was shocked at the amazingly high prices, for example I saw prices as high as $117 for a 15 minute ride to LBB... So I looked on Yelp and saw Royal Coach... I called them the day before, explained my need and they quoted me a very reasonable price and scheduled to pick me right out front at the established time. I was out front a little early the next day, and saw the towne car arrive precisely on time, The driver (motherly type) was friendly, helped load my 2 small bags and off we went. I must say I was very impressed with the friendly banter, pleasant atmosphere (and no smells of tobacco or beech nut). I will definitely employ their services again and highly recommend them to anyone needing taxi services in Lubbock.
