I have zero complaints. Check in = super nice lady who gave me a water or bev choice to kick off. The hotel is set up around a courtyard which is so nice. Teens you want to keep an eye on but not in your room ? This is the spot ! James in the restaurant might be the best server ever! A pool. Restaurant. Bar. Common areas. Amazing staff. I'll take it

Spent a couple days in Lubbock, TX. The Cotton Court Hotel was the only redeeming quality we found in Lubbock so we spent all of our time there. The courtyard was very well kept. There's lots of vignettes of seating areas with fire pits. Multiple green spaces which made traveling with our Westie enjoyable. Fountains, trees, whimsical lighting all contributed to a lovely couple days stay. The outdoor pool was well maintained and offered multiple seating options in and out of the sun. Our room was clean and welcoming like staying at a friend's home. We decided to join the Valencia members program after staying at the Cotton Court and look forward to visiting their other properties in the future.

Cute and comfortable stay is what to expect at this hotel! The courtyard common and pool areas are perfect to enjoy the outdoors. The rooms are spacious, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The fridge is stocked with drinks and a basket of snacks are available for purchase. The Midnight Shift restaurant is on-site which had a great selection of food and drinks. This hotel is perfect for families or for a couples/friend's getaway.

Stayed at the Cotton Court Hotel over Mother's Day Weekend which also coincided with graduation. This hotel is part of the Valencia Group which include some of my favorite hotels in San Antonio and San Diego. This hotel is a bit more casual with an open faced courtyard. Not only did they have valet parking but there is plenty of street parking around. Lobby is right across from the restaurant and pool area with plenty of seating around. I must say though the valet team was so friendly and were always able to bring out our cars within 5-10 minutes. The restaurant itself had an ample sized bar and damn were their old fashioneds delicious. I also was impressed to see fernet branca on their menu. With the number of rooms here, I never waited for more than a few minutes to get a drink. Sadly I didn't have the chance to enjoy the pool, but it was very well maintained with plenty of lounge chairs. It is a family friendly hotel, so just be aware there are some kids (though not many) that were staying here. What I really enjoyed about the courtyard was all the open space and lounge areas. My family and I had rented out one of their event rooms for a law school graduation party for my brother which turned out super nice. We were allowed to go in and set-up during the day which was nice. The only thing to keep in mind is that the rooms are not soundproof, so the party next to us having a dj blaring their sounds definitely rolled over into our space. So much so that we didn't even bother trying to play our own music. I think this should be handled better, especially when minimum spends are required. The food and staff working though were nice. We did have to ask for staff to pick-up dirty plates and glassware as they weren't initially but it was smooth sailing after that. Now my room was the 5-star experience. Obsessed with the style of the room and decor. The vintage fridge was so well curated and there was space to put in leftovers. I also appreciate you could adjust the fridge to fit other things without an "automatic" charge. The king size bed came with a full sized couch, smart tv to bluetooth your music, desk, armoire, full walk-in shower, and it was a true safe haven. I totally recommend staying in the main building which had more of a true hotel feel. The courtyard rooms were open facing. Overall it was a decent stay but I do believe outside high-demand weekends it makes sense this hotel goes for around $200 a night compared to the $400 a night when we went.

Loved this hotel!! I was driving across the country and my sister was staying here on business in the presidential suite with an extra bed!! I lucked out. I loved the decor, style, and vibe here! Not sure what the price point is, but I can tell you it's worth it. Great soaps, shampoo, and conditioner! Loved the bathrooms, and the free postcards! I will be back! The restaurant was great too!!

The room was campy, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a Texas Tech college tour!

This place WAS a really nice hotel, it has been run down over time sadly…read more Im not really a bad review writer but if I am paying a premium for a hotel I should be receiving what I pay for. Which didn't happen. I booked this for my wedding guests and wedding party; most hotels feel like a hospital but this one seemed more cozy and unique. Which is true its cozy but clearly they have stopped doing normal maintenance on it. Which was is embarrassing being i put my closest friends and family there. Booking was a pain through their "portal" and a huge hassle and the booking agent was almost never available. When I arrived my room smelled musty, not a huge deal to me but not cool to make me smell weird. The bathroom and counter needed a wipe down. The previous guests towel was still damp and hanging on the door. So that makes me think that it was cleaned well, maybe at all.‍ The head board had grease spots where the previous how many ever guests had rested there head as well as toothpaste splatters on the mirror frame. Also the AC wasn't really working all that well in my room but I think maybe it was just mine. Then there was many cosmetic issues like peeling wallpaper, damaged tiles, missing paint and huge dings in the hall walls. I had to ask multiple times for them to refresh the bathroom. Some of the staff is nice some not so much. Like I said it WAS a nice place but clearly needs better management and repairs. I paid for better.

Although the bed was clean and comfortable, the chair at the desk was really wobbly so no one was comfortable sitting there and most of the furniture was pretty badly dinged. Then I guess there was a special singer in the courtyard which made it hard to hear the tv or anything in our room. I do appreciate it but trying to put a kiddo to bed with loud live music made it hard to do. Overall, I appreciated our stay, and again for the price it's plenty of clean space, with a little wiggle room for improvement.

I don't understand what was causing it to get so dirty but that was a first impression that tracked consistently throughout my stay. The staff aren't really in any kind of uniform so other than standing behind the desk, no way of telling if they are guests loitering in the lobby or employees of this Aloft. One of the elevators was out the entire stay. The other was acting a little buggy. I took the stairs often during my two day, two night stay. The fitness center is small. Not a problem, per se. Kind of on-brand for Aloft. The problem is two of two treadmills were out of commission. I ran in the residential park down the road after taking the stairs. At least all the lights and tech in the room were operational. Located in a strip mall area with a number of restaurants makes it convenient but the lack of concern over maintenance in the common areas makes me reluctant to ever stay here again. And as a Bonvoy member I stay in A LOT of their hotels. I feel like I should get a points rebate for using points during this stay.

Upon opening the room it has a light sewer smell and the duvet did not look fresh and was rumpled as though it had been laid on before. Room is a typical Aloft so basic dorm like. Always like the Dry Bar bathroom amenities but they would have been a lot better if there was any water pressure - sink was ridiculous and could not properly rinse my toothbrush! View is more rooms and a flat field but not expecting more than that ! Kept blinds shut so I did not have to look at my neighbors. Overall the hotel is very good and is close to excellent. There were a few minor issues, but fortunately the front desk addressed my concerns. I am so glad I stayed at the Overton for my graduation. The customer service is top-notch which overcame the small issue of the loose border panel in room 1302 and the pillows not having pillow cases. This issue was quickly fixed and we were given breakfast vouchers as an apology. Overall this hotel is great and I will stay again whilst visiting Lubbock.
