The pool was kind of on the small side and there were only like two lounge chairs which were always taken, so we didn't even try to visit the pool. However, the vibe of the entire first floor/lobby/bar area made up for it. The layout of this place is so aesthetically pleasing. You'll see what I'm talking about in the photos I attached. The staff were always super helpful and friendly. It was super easy pulling in and out of the parking garage whenever we left/returned. My only gripe was the $48 a day for parking. That is A LOT even for LA standards, but you are super close to the airport I guess.

Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and wanting to help. The outside and main areas of the property were also very beautiful and you could tell they really took the time to curate every detail. The only downside for us was the room itself. While the entire property had a old world charm, the room itself just felt old. The carpet, the lighting, the bathroom all just felt dated and we felt were lacking in comfort. Now that could've just been our room but I still would recommend this hotel to anyone making their way out to Santa Monica!

If you had a different experience, sorry, but you came unprepared. Fill out your application online, take a photo, print everything requested in your email, and then come to your appointment. If you have all of that with you, It won't take more than 30 minutes. Otherwise they will still help you, but you will spend time taking your photo there, filling the paperwork, etc. The process is incredibly fast, and the passport was available the day after. Pickup took literally one minute. Large open parking, restrooms, friendly staff, absolutely amazing! Very frustrating experience -- nearly two hours just to get a comfortable room…read more We arrived at the hotel around 7:00 PM and were initially assigned room 220. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working and the room was very hot. I called the front desk, and they sent a technician to check it. He told us the AC should start working within 10-15 minutes. More than 30 minutes passed, and the room was still hot and the AC never worked. I called the front desk again. After waiting on the phone for someone to answer, I explained that the AC was still not working. I was told they would call me back. We then waited approximately another 30 minutes before receiving that call. They finally offered to move us to another room, which of course we accepted because of the heat. A robot delivered keys for room 217. We packed up all of our belongings, moved everything down the hallway, and tried to enter room 217 -- but the keys did not work. I went downstairs to the front desk, explained the problem, and they reprogrammed the key cards. I went all the way back upstairs and tried again. The keys STILL did not work. At this point I was extremely frustrated. I had to go downstairs for a second time and told the front desk that I did not want to keep carrying things around and going up and down because their room keys weren't working. I asked an employee to please come upstairs with me and make sure we could actually get into the room. Instead of room 217, they changed us again and assigned us room 218. Thankfully, that room finally opened and was comfortable. We arrived around 7:00 PM and it was almost 9:00 PM before we finally had a room where we could settle in comfortably. I understand that maintenance problems happen. An AC can fail and a key card can malfunction. But what made this experience unacceptable was the combination of the broken AC, long waits for assistance, being moved to a room we couldn't access, having the keys reprogrammed and still not working, multiple trips to the front desk, and nearly two hours of our evening being wasted. For a Hilton property, I expected much better service and a much smoother response when something went wrong. After traveling and arriving at a hotel, the last thing a guest should have to do is spend almost two hours moving luggage between rooms and repeatedly going back to the front desk just to get a comfortable, accessible room.

I arrived an hour early. There is parking in the building, but it is rather expensive. I paid almost $17 for an hour. Nevertheless, I recommend parking inside as the least stressful option. Before I entered the parking lot, I searched for parking spots outside. I couldn't find any. The embassy is on floor 14. When you arrive, the security guard greets you and checks your passport. He is very nice. Although I was early, he let me sit and wait inside. They also called me before 11 which is very accommodating of them. The waiting room was rather full, but for my category of work, there was only person before me. The person who interviewed me and received my documents was a very nice lady. She was fast, accurate, and efficient as well. I think the whole process should not have taken more 10-15 minutes. Overall, regardless of the outcome of my interview, which I will know in a couple of weeks, I had a positive experience in this embassy.
