First off he showed up in a pressed button down shirt, creased pants and CLEAN shoes that he took off as soon as he came in my door. We walked through what I needed to have done and some of the other issues I had been having with my electric (I have a 1949 home). He gathered his information and the necessary contact information from me and let me know he would be sending me an email with my quote. I thought oh no here we go. Boy was I surprised. The quote was way better then I had thought and even though I had received cheaper quotes, I have to tell you appearance and the fact that my friend used them and was very pleased, won me over. On the day the work was done they showed up on time, clean appearance, and ready to work. They kept their "mess" to a minimum and even brought their own clean up materials. I had no clean up to do when they left!! They took the time to make sure I knew as much as I wanted to know about what was being done and even took the time to chat with my small children about what they were doing and answer all the "whys" that come from my 3 and 5 year old. Topping my experience off they actually came in under the quote they had given me. Now who still does that?? Well these guys DO!!

I ended up talking with two other electricians in the area and both quoted me a significantly lower prices, and mentioned that his solution to the problem was overkill and far too expensive. I would not trust Mr Haigh and his company. Look elsewhere.

Despite my subscription, I found that they are super expensive, and they inflate the price for diagnosing electrical problems to offer you a discount on the service to fix the issue if you choose them for the work. For example, I called them to fix a shower fan that was tripping the circuit. The technician arrived and spent about 40 minutes diagnosing the issue and explaining their convoluted billing scheme. He confirmed what I told him what was going on. They charged me almost $450 for a single-circuit diagnosis with a $60 reserve service fee. They offered to deduct $200 from the $1,300 estimate to replace the shower fan. They also didn't guarantee the diagnosis and noted that other things could come up after they replace the fan, which could add more cost. I decided not to use them and fixed the fan myself by swapping out the fan motor within the enclosure. I found a new replacement fan on Amazon for $99, which had the required parts. It was an expensive lesson, though, since I was still overcharged $450 for very little value. $200-$250 would have been reasonable for what they actually provided. Their approach of padding diagnosis fees is borderline criminal. They should charge for the work they do. Because of this, I would avoid doing business with this company. I have also canceled my Comfort Club subscription.
