Factually speaking.....and the reason why "I" and so many others go to WaWa Convenience store vs. Royal Farms. I walked in about 11:15pm (traveling thru town) and I walked to the beverage section. I wanted to get 1 beer and when I went to open the door, I saw that the door was "pad locked". Ok. I walked to the front counter and patiently waited my turn. When my turn was next I said with a smile 'Hey, I see the beer section is closed. Have you stopped selling beer?". (I know that VA sells beer up until 12:00 midnight). The woman whom was dressed sloppily, said to me, "we lock the doors cuz people be stealing them". "I can open it for you" she said. "Ok" i said. So as we mosied over to the beer section I asked innocently, "So, what time do you lock the doors?". She said we locked them at midnight. I said...ok....but they are locked now. So what time do you normally lock them?. She said "We lock them at midnight". At this pont we had gottne to the doors of the beer section. I tugged on the door and pointed to the padlock that was restricting me from opening the door. I then said. 'But it is locked now". "So even though you lock them permanently for the night at midnight, what time do you lock the doors". She said" We lock them at midnight. Whaddya you want.?" Ok. So now I know what I am dealing and presented with. I said, " I decided that I am not thirsty". And I began to leave. Then this sloppily dressed worker muttered something under her breath and I was HAPPY to leave. Royal Farms is a sad option for a convenience store. WaWa patrons and employees are all so friendly. But when you go to Royal Farms/joke, the personnel are less than friendly, the patrons dont hold the door for you like they do at WaWa's. It is truly a lesson in building a brand, And the Royal Farms brands is unsatisfactory. I don't go to the Royal Farms 1 mile from my house either. I had a negative experience with a MANAGER there. Ill save that story for another day. read more

Employees are rude as hell. I've read various reviews that verify my experience. The big fat tall cook and the young girl with the faux locs were extremely rude. I can tell management has no control over this establishment because this is all I see in the reviews. I've gone to many Royal Farms and this is the first negative experience. read more

Fuel stop only heading up to Philly. The entrance on the corner at a light was easy to access off the highway. There is also a side entrance. The pump area was clean and no debris in sight. The trash can in my area was within its boundaries. No issues with filling up the car and I did not need a receipt. I did not enter the store but it looked looked neat in appearance. This chain of gas and convenience stores are sprinkled all along highway 13. I would return. read more

First timer at Royal Farms, but impressed with the cleanliness and size of the store. My family was on a road trip and kept seeing advertisements for Royal Farms and their "World Famous Fried Chicken". We stopped by the gas station/ convenience store to take a rest stop and check it out! I was impressed. They had a drink special for any size drink or slushie for $1. My brother tried the blue and red slushie and said he gives it a 2/5. We also tried the fried chicken (8 pieces mixed for $10...breast, wings, thighs, etc). It was good tasting chicken and HOT. It was a bit salty for my taste but pretty darn good. My brother got the 3 chicken tender meal with fries and a bun for about $5? He enjoyed the tenders and fries, but could do without the bread. Unfortunately, my brother's chicken tender meal had a hair in it (which prevents me from rating it 5 stars). The ladies were nice and swapped it out for us when we notified them. Another incident that prevents them from getting 5 stars is that the workers at the fast food station (chicken station) began to shout and fight with each other. This was pretty unprofessional...and the other customers who locked eyes with mine were also very surprised. All in all, I would definitely stop by again...as I saw people ordering several party platters of fried chicken. read more

In one short review, great food and fried chicken at a gas station. Great subs also! And it is a smaller sub than usual, more like the size of a wrap, and very handy to eat when driving. And very low-priced, awesome. This store has a spacious interior, not cramped like the stores of years past. Very open and inviting, and of course a great selection of items. -- This was my first stop in a Royal Farms store. None in my area further south in VA. I'd rank it well above a 7-11, and about on par with the awesomeness that a Wawa store offers. read more

Up until today - Royal Farms in Onley This has been one of my favorite places to stop during my daily commute up-and-down Rte 13. Unfortunately, the most recent visit to the store will be my last. I had a problem with the gas pump. When I attempted to notify them that the pump was not functioning - their employees were nasty, rude and disturbing. I don't need it! There's two more RF on the Eastern shore. From this point on that is where I will be spending my money. Filthy bathrooms. No soap ( yes - you need this basic item to help fight COVID spread.) No masks on employees. Sticky floor throughout the store. Just gross! We were going to grab a bite to eat here, but walked out with our appetite gone. read more

Smells great and the coffee is good. BUT CLEAN THE RESTROOMS!! A clean restroom is indicative of the way the food is prepared....

To Wayne B of Onancock, if you are so needy get a dog. The people at RoFo are not there to make you happy or smile on demand. I prefer a genuine smile as opposed to a forced one. You never know what one is going through. Maybe if you smiled first and asked how they are, you might get one in return. Be the type of person you want others to be. I think its a tough job dealing with the demanding in a rush public. I think all the employees are doing their best and I always get great service there. I'm not always smiling so I don't expect them to either. Keep up the good work RoFo! Place is always very clean and organized. I don't use their restroom so don't know about that. Employees VERY unfriendly! A smile and a thank you goes a long way with me! I blame this problem on poor local management and an inadequate district manager that doesn't think that customer service with a smile and thank you are important!!! I might add that I have NEVER been in any WAWA that didn't show complete courtesy to the customer. read more
