The food here is decent for the price, but every time I go here the employees are so miserable, no customer service skills at all. Also I used the restroom on my last visit and it was filthy, sat at one of the tables why awaiting my order and it was a mess, they could wipe them down once and awhile. I stopped by this Royal Farms on 12/12/23 to get a sausage and egg sandwich on croissant. I always pray and ask God to bless my food before I eat and I'm so thankful that I do it As I was eating and chewing my sandwich I felt something stringy in my mouth. As I put my finger inside my mouth to see what it was, I pulled out a piece of hair!!! OMG gross Thank you Holy Spirit for allowing me to pull that piece of nasty hair out of mouth. OMG I can't gargle fast enough. This is the first time this has happened, and it will be the last time because I'm no longer eating there. Everyone, please make sure to say a prayer before you eat your food because Jesus will remove or allow you to see anything in that food that can cause your body harm!! Well I never imagined I'd eat at a gas station stop with a convenience store attached to it. We stopped at a Royal Farms locations on the way into Ocean City and hubby tried the chicken and said it was pretty good but the way my stomach is set up fried chicken at 5 am doesn't work for me so I passed. On our way back however we grabbed something at a few fast food places for the kids and couldn't find a restaurant where we really wanted anything. Saw this location and the sign out front stating that it was voted by Food and Wine Mag as best fast fried chicken and gas station food worth trying. So, I put my skepticism about gas station food aside, remembering you can actually find good food anywhere- from a Michelin starred restaurant to a unknown hole in the wall- and decided to try it! Well! I'm impressed. Now I couldn't and wouldn't eat it very often because unfortunately fried chicken isn't healthy enough to be added to my daily menu but if it was?! This would be the place to get it. It was tender, juicy, crispy and tasty. What more do you want from fried chicken?! Beats most fast chicken places- scratch that - it beats all of them. It's also basically a convenience store/gas station. Store was large and clean and sold a variety of items. They sell a lot of store brand items. I bought a mint dark chocolate bar that was good and I was able to read and identify all of the ingredients which is always a good thing. If you come across one of these while traveling and you like fried m chicken do yourself a favor and stop and try it. You won't be disappointed. Just drop any qualms, lose the "I'd never eat at a gas station" attitude, and do it. read more

I ordered the original chicken tenders and got spicy chicken tenders, and I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and ketchup and pickles and no bacon. Waited 20 minutes for the food while looking at people stoned out of their mind and having to no idea where they work and what to do and missed food that we ordered. I only went inside to pay for gas so my visit was brief but the store was clean and organized. The cashier greeted you upon check out. The gas area was also clean and I had no issues. I will return based on my experience from today. Keep up the good work. read more

Okay, where do I begin... First of all the people whom fry the fries and chicken first must realize that it is for the customers in which THEY have a job and to get a good customer base DO NOT SERVE food to customers in which you would not serve your OWN FAMILY! Visiting the store in the morning the food should be fresh for those whom stop by between 7am - 9am whom are purchasing for breakfast or lunch. At this location I again was burnt cold by the poor old quality of western fries which had to have been on the bottom since 6am as I arrived at 7:50am, discusted I called in and informed of the horrible quality of food given and on the positive side the Manager on duty was very apologetic and would replace my purchase and refund my money. I stopped here a few days ago on the way home from a late night movie. The employees behind the food counter were not wearing gloves at all while handling food. I asked them if I could please have some fresh chicken and wedges because they weren't wearing gloves. The guy then proceeded to roll his eyes at me and make my food. After a good 15 minutes I received my food. I smiled and saod thank you to the gentleman who did not respond at all. I paid amd left. The food though was surprisingly good though. read more

This Royal Farms is just off US-13 northbound in Smyrna. They have gas pumps and a convenience store. Their gas is usually close to being the cheapest in this state. The convenience store appears to be fairly well-stocked and offers some freshly-prepared foods and fried chicken in addition to the usual prepackaged snacks. read more

I was on a road trip two weeks ago and barely remember coming here. OK I lied, I don't remember coming here, which leads me to believe that it was supremely average perhaps...although I don't know what exactly I'm expecting in order to have an above average gas station experience. Although Royal Farms is a gas station it does sale chicken along with other groceries. I notice that the 2 gentlemen that were suppose to be preparing food orders which we both wanted chicken that was already cooked were too busy looking around and playing with talking on their cell phones. The lady ahead of me finally got her chicken; however when he finished filling her order he started acting as though he was picking up trash. Needless to say, I had to get my money refunded to me and leave. I couldn't afford to lose my job waiting for two immature people to give me my 3 piece chicken tender dinner. I was not rushed I left home plenty early; but if I had continued to wait I wouldn't of been able to get my lunch from somewhere that is customer friendly. read more

poorest custurmer relations i have yet to see in a place of this type..this sat in the am i went there to get ciggs and told the youngster i wanted non filter aces and she gave me two cartons ,which was what i ordered put them in a plastic bag and i paid for them and left. upon arriveing home i opened a carton and it was similar to ones i buy there and lo and behold it was filtered.opened second carton with same results.took my time and gas and returned in afternoon with the recipt and they would not exchange for proper ones i thought i had bought.they told me to make another trip there monday and speak to manager as they have a no refund policy as when you buy even if you get wrong product given to you and have a receipt you still lose your money. Now i have to go back again to see someone monday to correct this at my expenseand wear and tear on auto and to top it off they all saw i was handicapped and didnt act in best interest of the farm.might be worth spending a tad more money for an item than haveing to put up with this do do.can guarantee them myself or any one i know will never buy from this fly by night co again.untrained staff and lack of custermer relations make for a great store folks. read more
