My Chicken was excellent and my friends sub was fresh! The help was attentive and worked diligently even when swamped.

Pumps don't work and not very clean. I know it's a gas station and you get gas which is great get it and go. To me the food is expensive and the service could be better. Sandwiches come out all lopsided like it was just put through a twister. Finding a pump is always fun it's like hid and go seek. Take it for what it is and experience it for yourself. read more

Royal Farms, which have no stores in Hampton Roads, is consistently appealing and clean. After traveling across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to the Eastern Shore (Delmarva Peninsula), one eventually reaches the land of Royal Farms. Once you see the first, the others come in quick succession. They serve as your staple until you reach Wawa land in Delaware. You won't find the same fabulous product mix and deli as Wawa. But you will find a convenience/fuel center that strives to excel in small towns and rural areas on the Delmarva Peninsula. Royal Farms has a lower fuel price than other stores on the Eastern Shore. The pumps are well laid out. Some have a truck stop fuel pump area. The stores are clean and without clutter. There is a nice mix of coffees, sodas, lattes & snacks. You can always count on Royal Farms to offer a Fat Free Vanilla Latte. That choice is a "must have" if you are experiencing the drive alone/stay awake syndrome. The Dagsboro store has no eat in booth area. And the rest rooms were smaller than stores on the more highly traveled Hwy 13. But that, in no way, would have caused me to choose a different store the next time through. Royal Farms is not Wawa. But they should definitely make their way down the Eastern Shore and across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to Hampton Roads. Royal Farms would be welcomed. read more

For their new pot Pie dish. Costs 6.99 plus and you get a very small portion, good amount of meat, almost no vegetables, and lots of gravy. Tastes is not what I expected for pot pie. Meat was slime tasting. Almost be veggies. Daughter had Mac and cheese with Chicken. She said quote "Disgusting". Noodles like rubber, thru all of it away, same for me, never going back of course.... My first time ever at a royal farms, and will surely be my last time. The place is disgusting and the employees are rude. Food is extremely greasy and bland. I've never been to Royal Farms so this first time experience was exciting. Come to find out that it would be my first and last experience where I will appreciate Wawa more. The selections were limited and even though they had things they made my eyes big I wasn't to impressed. The absolute worst part that ruined my experience were the toothless rude employees they have making your food. Who looking at alone (by they're hygiene) made me not want food they would ever touch. They completely undercooked they're supposed phenomenal chicken which was not, the fries weren't cooked yet they were hard potatoes still .....and had you wait 15 mins just to cook them because they forgot to throw some on......ummm the stores not busy ma'am you were out back hanging out smoking cigarettes. In the end without writing a Novel, I hated this place and it just fucking sucked. read more

Finally stopped at a Royal Farms to try this so called Worlds Famous Chicken. Well, we were dissappointed. $9.29 for 6 piece chicken tender with sauce. The chicken was barely warm and very chewy. Definitely not even close to fresh :-( If you know what fresh and yummy chicken is, you can tell in this picture that this chicken had been sitting out for quite some time. Not worth almost $10 for 6 pieces for sure! The dipping sauce was pretty good though. read more

On 1/10 at about 730 I witnessed a royal farms employees IN HER UNIFORM chase a customer outside and scream cuss words and try to fight the customer in the parking lot. Location is always filthy and cashiers are rude. This particular cashier was the worst I have ever seen. She screamed at the customer in the parking lot in front of other customers saying several times "royal farms doesn't need your money". Since that's the case I'll take my money to WAWA and tell my friends to do the same. read more

Wow this place was so disappointing. I was so excited to take my children here to get the "legendary" fried chicken that they advertise so heavily, and it turned out to be a nightmare. First off, the lady making the food and sandwiches almost physically pushed me over to grab some ketchup packets from under my kiosk without warning at all. She kept going on to her coworker about how much she hated her job and that she was going to physically walk out and quit if more people ordered food. Appalling. After we finally got our food, which was a bucket of fried chicken and cheese fries, she told me, and i quote, "yeah enjoy that fried chicken that you people love so much". I took great offense to this, as being a black male in America is already tough enough, and she just had to throw that shot at me because of how much she hated her job and her life. So then we get the food and pay and as we were walking out I see the same lady on the sidewalk near where my car was parked smoking what looked to be methamphetamine out of a pipe, which was giving off a very chemically stench. This girl was literally smoking meth on the job. I just ignored it because of how desperately i wanted to leave this dump. While I was pulling out, she then screamed at me "I hope that chicken is good you dumb n****r!". I could not believe my ears and my children began to cry because of how scared they were, and at that point I sped off. The food was its own horror, as when I bit into my first piece of chicken what looked to be some black substance squirted all over my shirt and made me nauseous. The fries did not even look edible at all, so at that point I threw away all of the food we had left, leaving me and my children hungry and with a 20 dollar deficit. Do yourself a big favor and never come to this place. read more

This store is cleanliness and freshness of food needs a little work. Overall I am not crazy about the Royal Farms chain so take this review for what it's worth. And go to the nearest Wawa instead. read more

Flies everywhere, long lines, and miserable staff. Not to mention the chicken was undercooked and the messed up my order
