Turns out the speech and rebuttals I was practicing in the car on the drive over were not needed. The owner offered a very fair price for my silver proof coin set within a couple of minutes. After the sale a wonderful gentleman did all the paperwork. There was quite a lot, and it took about ten minutes. It only felt like sixty seconds because of how charming and funny Lamant, the employee, was. AVOID. They feed you a bunch of malarkey and underpay you! You have 14kt jewelry? They'll "show" you on "their" testing machine that's it's on 13kt, blah, blah, blah then pay you less. Diamonds? Better bring a current GIA report. Royal says that you cannot go to GIA and have your precious gemstones certified, however, that's an outright lie, just ask a reputable jeweler! Simply contact GIA in Carlsbad, open an account, drop off your stones, have them graded & inscribed and obtain certified reports. Once your precious gems have GIA reports take them to a reputable jewelry dealer. I recommend Village Estate Jewelry Buyers in Carlsbad, CA. Look them up here on Yelp. I did MUCH better with Jeremy; he is honest, fair & you'll be glad you called him! You may also try CIRCA Jewels, they have offices world wide and one in Newport Beach. You'll only get below wholesale but at least they are honest & reputable. read more
