Not impressed. Had them come out for estimate to move out of state. Probably wouldn't have received our business based on others that quoted us after visiting on-site- but NEVER received a quote- just went dark. Poor business ethics- probably didn't like fact that we wanted fixed quote- vs the "Weight" method that leaves a lot of wiggle room to have your move jacked in price. They came on time. The price was fair. The employees were polite and strong as bulls. They had to carry a 1990s era Toshiba console TV that weighed probably 350 pounds, maybe more, upstairs and out to my garage. Marco and his team arrived and promptly got to work. They were quick and efficient. They carefully wrapped all furniture in blankets and shrink wrap. They also took a detailed inventory and went over any pre-existing scratches etc. with us. Each piece of furniture and all boxes were also numbered. They worked diligently until the job was done and finished up quickly. Everyone on the team was very courteous and handled everything with care. Excellent moving experience from start to finish. This particular move was for a specialty item - an arcade machine - which most moving companies I contacted did not have experience or resources to tackle. Thankfully, after searching on Yelp under "arcade" and "movers, " Royal came up, and I was pleased to read the positive feedback. Royal is very responsive. They have an efficient system for getting you an accurate quote with everything clearly in writing. No surprises - what you see is what you get. I spoke to Carlos on the phone and gave him the details of where the machine was, dimensions, weight and where it needed to be. He said, "no problem," and provided a reasonable quote for two movers. He got me rsvp'd for my preferred day, which landed in my inbox shortly. On the day of the move, Carlos texted me the estimated arrival. I was a little late to the location, and I made a request to him to see if they could wait until I arrived. He said he'd try his best, but the movers were on a tight schedule with other clients to follow, which I totally understood. When I arrived about 15 minutes past the scheduled time, I saw the movers at the front door. Both were friendly, and one was the designated lead. I asked him whether they had started to move the machine, and he said "no," he had gotten the message to wait. He did make clear that the clock had already started per the original time, and that they began to prep for the move. I appreciated that because per the quote, anything beyond the 2-hour would incur extra charges. I saw they had already padded the doorways, laid protective rug for the floors and wrapped up the machine with plastic seal and blankets. Needless to say, I was very impressed with their efficiency and protective measures. Speaking of which, both movers wore masks per COVID safety. As the 300+ lb machine was in a no-walkout basement, both movers carefully moved the behemoth up the narrow flight of stairs to the first floor without bumping anything. It was smooth sailing from there, as the destination ( my house) had a walkout basement. As a plus, instead of just loading it in the general area, I appreciate that they maneuvered the machine to the exact spot I needed it to be, which was admittedly tight. Once the job was complete (which was comfortably under 2 hours), the lead mover presented the price per the initial quote on his tablet, and I paid via card. In short, these guys did a stellar job, and I was more than happy to provide them a well-deserved tip. I would not hesitate to use them again for any size move and would gladly recommend to friends and family. read more

Royal Movers recently moved us from our narrow-hallway'd, four story townhouse to a larger house out in the burbs. They were able to move all of our furniture, including a treadmill and bike from our 4th floor, to our new house with no damage to any of our possessions, which was not easy. The only downside is they damaged a wall in our townhouse during the move out -- but when I mentioned that to Royal Movers, they immediately apologized and had a drywall crew come out 2 days later to repair the damage. 5 stars. read more

My daughter was moving to a new garden apartment on 12/23 (one day before Christmas Eve) which required making four (4) stops total to retrieve and load her belongings from our family home, to a storage facility unit, to a friends home, and finally to her new apartment.
