I live nearby and decided to try out this place with my mom because of all of the good reviews and we were both extremely happy with our decision. The salon itself is very clean, with a peaceful atmosphere. The massage chairs were amazing and my mom kept dozing off because she was so comfortable lol. They had a large and organized selection of gel colors and they had the exact color I wanted, along with the matching toe color. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and both services were excellent and both technicians were gentle and very polite. I really appreciate the technicians referring to my mom and I by our names and for bringing us slippers and putting our shoes in plastic bags for us without asking or paying extra. We were also the last customers of the day and they didn't rush and stayed past closing time for us. I am very happy with my nails and will definitely be coming back here! I rarely ever submit reviews/ratings, but I must in this case. I've been getting my nails done since I was 18. (Late bloomer, I know.) However I was always bouncing in between places - I never felt comfortable nor found a place that consistently made me happy. I may have liked my nails one appointment, then hated them the next. Not to mention, a lot of the places gave you grief or made you feel terrible if you asked them to file a little more here or fix this nail there. Or they rushed through your nails if you were their last customer. So I saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a go. When I first came, I was greeted and acknowledged and offered water/coffee/tea and although I had to wait, (I'm very patient) I was assisted and given colors to choose from. My nails of course came out great. But what made me come back was the fact that they ASKED if I liked the length. They ASKED if the shape was okay, and didn't mind when I asked them to adjust to my liking. They were gentle and Jimmy was so friendly - he really makes you feel welcome! The second visit, I took my sister and daughter with me. They made me feel like an old friend! Greeting me by name (to my surprise!) and welcoming me back. The third visit, they asked about my sister and daughter, and continue to do so every visit! My point is, not only have I been satisfied with my nails EVERY SINGLE TIME I'VE VISITED (which has never happened), but they go out of their way to acknowledge you and get to know you, which welcomes you as a customer. I'm generally a quiet, shy person so the fact the I can feel welcome and comfortable here is a big plus for me. They are so accomodating, even when I'm running late for an appt, they dont rush through your nails. Customer service is 100%! Can you find a cheaper place? Probably. Will the results be the same? I doubt it. I never choose a specific tech, so I've worked with almost all of them, and still I have been satisfied every time! And the woman who does the pedicures is so sweet and gentle! I requested to book a full set manicure & a regular pedicure @10am yesterday. They said they weren't available @10am, but they were @11am. I said okay that's fine. I came in and they said that were available to do my manicure first then my pedicure after. I would've preferred to do it at the same time... then they say they thought I was getting a regular gel manicure then proceeded to say that they were not available to do my full set manicure. Keep in mind this conversation was in front of ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS WATCHING. So I said okay then I will leave. Horrible customer service. I do not recommend this place at all. I went here to get my nails, pedicure and eyebrow wax done and they were amazing! They took their time with me and did a really good job. I have sensitive skin and my face always gets red after waxing. They were very concerned even after I told them it's normal but they cared. Its been three days since my manicure and its already coming off. When i got my manicure, i was not pleased with two of my nails because 1. There was some dot that looked like fluff, 2. I guess my nail touched something while moving to another table to dry my nails. After my nails were dry, i told them i am not satisfied with the two. The girl who did my nails was with another customer and she came by, didnt fix my nails but she just put another layer of clear coat. Ok whatevers. I left. Nonetheless i gave a decent tip to both of the ladies who did my nails and my toes. Three days later, all my nail polish came off as a whole. Honestly, even when i do my nails at home, it doesnt come off this quick. Very disappointing. Let me just tell you, manicure should last longer than 3 days. I got my thumb ans pinky left. When I walked in I was surprised of how clean and neat it looked only because a lot of nail salons are always all over the place. I made an appointment and was sat immediately by a gentleman. Right away I started my pedicure (I forget the ladies name that did my pedicure) and then Lynn comes over to do my fill for my acrylics. The whole process of it all was very relaxing and both ladies did such a great job. Neither one of them were rough like some people can be, and they kept making sure everything was good. They also had a great choice of GEL for my nails! At other nail salons I've been going to had poor selections of gel colors so it was nice they had a lot! The Music they had playing was even good! THIS PLACE WAS THE WORST AND MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE MY SISTER AND I HAVE EVEN HAD ! This review might be a bit long but so was our unforgettable experience here -_- .... We were just here on Sunday and had an appointment at 2 but we ended up being there until 6:30! They were working on us the whole time but were just REALLY that slow. All three manicurists worked on us at one point or another and tried to use being a ''perfectionist'' as an excuse for them taking so long . However , by the end of our experience, it was clear that they were takin forever because they had no idea what they were doing. if the wait time wasn't bad enough, they practically tortured my sister for the last two hours doing her acrylics . She originally had old acrylics from somewhere else so they had to remove it before putting new ones on. The lady didn't even soak her nails and just started clipping and pulling away at it, making my sister bleed twice and wince in pain the whole time . When I questioned what the lady was doing, she told us it was because the old place made my sisters acrylics too thick so they weren't coming off. By the time they were half way done with her second hand my sister was on the verge of tears. I begged the lady to grind it off or something because I didn't think my sister couldn't take it anymore . And it was only then that she brought out a bowl to soak her hand. .. Excuse my language but ... WHAT THE F*CK !? WHY DIDNT YOU JUST DO THAT TO BEGIN WITH ? Every single one of her fingers were stinging the whole time because the lady cracked all of her nails when brutally peeling them off . And you would think that would be the worst thing that could happen to you at a nail salon ... Think again. When they were giving my sister her pedicure one the ladies BROKE OFF ONE OF MY SISTERS TOE NAILS ! I couldn't even believe it . At first the lady didn't even say anything she just finished with her and moved on to me . When she saw that my sister was playing with it she was like "oh , don't worry we will super glue it back on when she comes to paint your toes" ... Again ... WHAT . THE . F*CK ?! I'm seriously still in shock . The fact that she wasn't even gonna say anything or didn't even say sorry is so unacceptable! Like she was just brush it under the rug and pretend it didn't happen ? Oh and Wait ... There's more . Of course there's more ... While waiting for over two hours for my sister I notice that my acrylics we're obviously uneven because Lynn never matched my nails to each other . Since it was clear that I wasn't going anywhere soon ... I asked her politely if she could file them down a bit because three fingers were uneven. I was told that it would be impossible to do because that would run my nails and she'd have to completely re do them . First of all . Do you think I'm an idiot ? You can't file down acrylics ? Why do they do it everywhere else then ? And even if that were true ... So what ? You should just freaking do it . If your work is off you should fix it not give excuses . Especially when you're making us wait for 4 hours and are over charging us for mediocre work . I paid 150 for both mine and my sisters acrylics and pedi... And that was with the ever SO GENEROUS $5 dollar discount they gave us for making my sister bleed twice . Wait ... But what about ripping off one of her toe nails ? ... Oh yeah . I forgot we were just going to pretend that one didn't happen , right ? -_- Honestly, we only came here because TIP & TOES was closed . I regret it so bad . The owner Jimmy is really nice and welcoming. We had a long conversation. He is the type of person that should run a place because he is so kind. The place is super clean and well organized. All the nail equipment they use are sanitized. The prices are decent ($25 for gel nails). Amy did an amazing job on my gel manicure. She was very patient and a perfectionist. She took her time and would fix the slightest imperfection she saw. She didn't rush to get the job done. She made sure I loved my nails. And I absolutely love it! She did three coats of Pink Daisy and two top coats to make sure it lasts (I told her my nails tend to chip quickly even with gel). I highly recommend this place and wills definitely be going back. I haven't had a pedicure in probably about two years so I decided to give myself a little treat. I'm really on a budget so I was looking for something inexpensive and found this place on Yelp, the reviews were all pretty great so I went to give it a try and boy was this a good decision! I got a nice relaxing pedicure that I only paid $20 for (it's $15 for basic but I asked for a callous removal for $5 more)! Now I just feel really zen getting to be a little pampered and my feet and toes, which were gross, uneven, and really calloused before look and feel great! Only thing I would change is maybe a little more removal on my heels because they are still calloused, but that was probably because of how bad they were.
