My friend recommended this place to me because I was looking for somewhere to get my nails done before my sister's wedding. I called a week ahead to make an appointment. My friend always gets dip powder so I figured I would try it out too. I wish their color selection was a little larger but in the end, I found the exact color I was looking for. It looked light on the sample but turned out to be the perfect nude once on my nails. It looks very natural which is exactly what I was going for since my dress was a bold color. I paid $40 plus tip for the dip powder manicure and since I had recently cut my nails, I asked her to put tips on my nails first for some length. Cindy did my nails and she did a great job. I really enjoy coming here. Jimmy (the manager) and his staff are so polite and nice. I've been here twice and I really recommend this place to those who are first-timers. I had Tina and Lynn do my nails and both of them were very accepting of all of my needs. If I said one nail seemed crooked or the shape wasn't what I wanted they got to work on it without complaining or telling me I was wrong. However, if you're high maintenance and can't stand even the smallest problems with your nails then this isn't the place for you. That's why for all you first-timers I recommend you coming here so you can get a feel for what you want without having to pay so much at other places. The staff will tell you all that you need to know about nails and what's better for you. I just started doing my nails so Jimmy was the one to teach me that: -gel isn't meant for matte since the purpose for it is to shine However if you want matte plus rhinestones then it's the only excuse to use gel since it keeps the rhinestone in place -you don't have to get a full set every time, you can reuse your set for up to 3 months (I got my full set taken off for another full set one time and it was a waste of money apparently) So yeah.. I keep learning from him and I'm seriously so thankful because Jimmy isn't about taking advantage of you for money, he really saved me a lot of money by letting me know what's better for me. She then proceeded to call Jimmy, the manager, over and tell him how after she was done doing my nails, how I would no longer be welcome to their establishment. Rather than ask me, the paying customer, what was wrong, he asked her and she told him how I had told her that I "would never be coming here to get my nails done again." WHICH I NEVER DID. He asked me if it was true, and although I continued to say no because it wasn't true, he still took her word for it. How condescending and belittling to question a customer, rather than your incompetent employee, in front of other customers! I felt too embarrassed and belittled to wish to stay any longer, especially after being there over an hour without hardly getting anything done, so I offered to pay for what little services were done and leave. They told me no although I was insistent on paying for someone else's work, to which the proceeded to tell me how they would not charge any customer if they were unhappy with the service. Well how generous of them, considering I was so rude, right? I walked over to my boyfriend to tell him that we were leaving, and once we had gotten into the car, I began to wrap my head around whatever had just happened. It had then occurred to me that Lynn had assumed that I was telling her that I would never go there to get my nails done again, when I had told my boyfriend that he never had to come with me again. Had she taken a moment to actually ask like a professional what was wrong with the service, if there was something wrong, than I could have cleared the air or mass of confusion for her. Instead, she was too busy being sarcastic, assuming and pretentious to know any better, and I ended up leaving with only acrylic applied onto my nails! Regardless, let this just be a lesson to never waste my money on this horribly run establishment again, and hopefully for the owners to gain professional benefits by asking the customer what may be improved for next time. So you know I like to keep myself looking good! Especially when I am with the wife. My lady looked this little boutique up since she needed her nails redone. She treated me to the usual clear gel manicure. She got a red gel manicure. Location is tucked in the rear of a small plaza, not hard to miss. Entering the salon is a bit awkward b/c there is a velcro net wall immediately as you open the door. I called on a Saturday afternoon asking if they had room for a full set/pedi (sometime around 1:15pm) and Jimmy booked me for 2pm! Lucky me! So I show up and immediately I was greeted and escorted by Jimmy to my nail tech, Mary, right at 2pm. Let me just start by saying that the place is a hidden gem! It's easily missed when you drive by and you wouldn't expect it to look so nice judging from the outside but once inside you can tell it's very well managed and clean. It's air conditioned, and Jimmy offers you cold water soon after arriving. Ahhh. Perfect on a 90 degree CA day! I asked for a French tip full set ($23)and french Pedi ($18). Mary knew exactly what I wanted and took her time meticulously filing and making sure my skin didn't have glue behind the tips. I really appreciated that because I leave most places having to peel my skin away from the nail tip for days! The end result was perfect! Neat French pedicure and immaculate full set. Also, this place is really relaxing. It's not loud or super busy. They're playing KiisFM radio and have TV's to keep you entertained which was pretty nice as I don't like to listen to super loud techno while I'm enjoying the spa pedicure chair. This is my sister's go-to nail salon. She takes me here every time I am in town. Although she has moved further away from this salon, she tries to come back here as much as possible for all of her nail needs. I called ahead on Thursday to make an appointment for Saturday. I came at my scheduled time and Ann started working on my boyfriend's pedicure right away. I was picking out my gel color while Nina got set up. Nina did an AMAZING job on my gel manicure. She was very delicate and very detailed! Lynn is super sweet and worked on my boyfriend's manicure. She also did an amazing job! Ann did both of our pedicures and she is also very gentle and sweet. My nails look amazing. The foot massage also felt so great. The whole atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. They even set up a chair for my boyfriend next to me and gave him water while I was finishing up my pedicure.
