Walk in today and very disappointed. I appreciate that they took me without an appointment but my nails are possibly the worst I've ever experienced in 36 years. They are too thick, bumpy, with lots of bubbles in the polish I had to redo the top coat at home to just make them okish for a few days. Very disappointed wIth Royal Nails. I went go to Royal Nails regularly to get a pedicure and I usually do my own manicure. I decided I was going to get acrylic nails and let my nails grow out. I left there with these big huge chunky, wide globs on my nails and two days later I went somewhere and had them taken off. At the time that the man was putting the acrylic nails on I knew it was going to be a hot mess. The nail was so wide it actually went over top of my skin. I repeatedly said I really want them thinner I don't want them to look like fake nails could you make them slimmer and's not so thick? During that time I was asking for the nails to be slimmer and to fit my nail properly the owner Nancy was mimicking me in her native language; basically saying yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah and rolling her eyes. I went to another manicurist in Westminster she remove the nails after two days. I never said a word to her about my dissatisfaction with them. But when she looked at them she said oh my gosh these things look horrible how did this happen? I have returned to the manicurist in Westminsterr every three weeks diligently, my nails are beautiful they're actually my own with gel polish, no acrylic! I'm extremely happy with my hands and nails! I will never return to Royal Nails for a mani or pedi.! read more

I do not understand where the poor reviews are coming from ?! First of all, if you don't like the price of a gel pedicure, the prices are listed in multiple places on the wall, & front desk. That is absolutely on you, if you have no clue what something costs, & then get upset about the price! Who gets a service done, & has NO idea of the cost, at THAT specific business ?! I've had my nails done at so many shops across Montgomery Co., & NWDC. Royal Nails happens to be the first place I've tried, since moving to Carrol Co.. It will also be my last. Nancy is fabulous, very accommodating, and very talented! I have only had services by Nancy, but have been worked on by the other techs, briefly. So that Nancy could fix a broken nail, that a client had damaged. They were also lovely, and paid a lot of attention to detail. This is a very clean shop, with many product choices available. The review stating a water bowl was reused, is absolutely fiction, or confusion on the reviewer's part. How much could possibly be saved by a few ounces of water, that a technician would risk doing that?! Absurd & I do not believe it for a second! I've seen nothing but excellent sanitation practices at Royal Nails. One of my FAVORITE things about Royal Nails, the fact that I NEVER WAIT! This is absolutely new to me. Coming from many different Mo.Co. shops, I was very used to making an appointment ahead of time, & the technician would still squeeze in walk in's, ev. time! I'd end up waiting before my appt., during my appt., each and every time. I chocked it up to something I'd have to deal with if getting my nails done, so I'd inevitably stop going. Because of the fact of having to spend 2+ hrs ev. time, so I'd get burnt out & cease the nail appt's, & go back to having ugly looking messy nails.:-/So I am ecstatic about the experiences that I've had each time at Royal Nails, & I plan to continue going there, for years to come! read more

NEVER go here. I came in today to get a regular pedi and a gel mani for a wedding this weekend. The woman that did my toes was okay. A little rough when cutting my cuticles (I think she cut me once) and not rough enough when scrubbing the bottoms of my feet, but over all she was average. The woman doing my nails was so distracted. She kept looking over her shoulder at the TV, answering the phone, and checking her text messages. She was SO ROUGH on my cuticles she cut me THREE TIMES. One of the cuts on my pointer finger wouldn't stop bleeding. I picked a shimmery cream color gel which ended up not looking anything like the sample so I ended up getting another color. Both colors I chose were light so now the blood stains from my cuts are extremely visible. It's not her fault that I wouldn't stop bleeding, but she should have been paying attention in the first place. Don't waste your time. Price is pretty comparable to most local places. read more

Just a mile away from my home. The two times I have been to this place I didn't have to wait. Deluxe pedicure takes about one hour from start to finish, and it's worth the price. Ginny is very efficient, she does not say much. For a pedicure, I would visit again for the convenience. read more

The owner knows I'm a regular there and usually have her husband do my pedi (which he does an excellent job). But when she does a pedi, she's usually very rough. I gave her a compliment this time and she told her husband "she said you suck!" Then she complained to me that I didn't come in wearing flip flops and was going to let me walk out barefoot. One of the older women brought me a pair of their used flip flops. Can get better service everywhere else. read more

Don't waste your money. Very unprofessional and unfriendly. Polish on cuticles and skin on toes and fingers. I can hardly believe this place is still open. I have a gift certificate for this place i wont even be using. Thats how bad it is read more
