I booked two massages. The morning of the day my husband and I were supposed to go we woke up very ill. I called to see if we could reschedule. The employee said that because we were within the 24 hour cancellation policy that they had to charge us for the full massage. I explained to her that we were very sick and she said well do you know two people that can take your place. No we did not. So my problems is that would you rather have customers come in sick or let them reschedule? There should be an exception somewhere. Now they made 400.00 by not doing anything. The sauna was great as usual. I did have concern with graduation tower as there is less in the air. I brought this to the attention of the lady at the front desk and she advised was adjusted because it was unhealthy and setting off fire alarms. I was coming here weekly for a few months specifically for graduation tower as it cleared any congestion. Never once experienced a fire alarm. Maybe budget cuts are the problem, not sure the truth. The medical journals suggest 75-78° with humidity around 50% for optimum benefits. I already knew this which is why I started wet salt caves. I told her I could get her the medical journal and she seemed uninterested. You notice the difference in lack of steam in todays pic vs before. I had an appointment on Thursday evening October 3rd to meet a friend for the salt cave. I have been there before but only for day appointments and always have been very relaxing. This Thursday evening half way through the session we started hearing chatter from the waiting area. Three quarters way very loud talking, laughing and a baby crying. I was in there trying to relaxe and thinking why is it so loud out there, VERY RUDE and who brings a baby to a spa. When we walked out when the session was over the place was packed, I mentioned to the guy working that it was rude with the noise, he said ya sorry. Then as me and my friend were outside talking I see the girl with the crying baby behind the counter, she works there. OMG I'm sorry, to bring a baby to work is one thing, but for clients coming in to relax at a spa does not want to listen to a crying baby. I would suggest the staff be aware of the paying people that come to relax and have a great experience at your spa don't go in the evening. I did call the next day and left a message for someone to call me back and as of today Tuesday October 8th I have not heard from anyone. I would think twice if you want to go there at night and have a relaxing experience because yo will be dissapointed. Want to spend your lunch break relaxing, well you sure can. Right after a few safety protocols and an explanation of some housekeeping rules. You are then asked to remove your shoes, hang up your coats, grab your blanket and follow the hostess into the salt cave. Soft lighting and soothing music is a dead giveaway to the mood you will be transformed to. Due to Covid, it is requested that you bring your own blanket. The chairs recline all the way to a prone position which I took full advantage of. The headphones have two settings; one for guided meditation and another for music. Switch up if you like. I enjoyed both. Once your therapy session begins, a halogenerater grinds and releases salt particles so fine that you inhale them. This process absorbs irritants, allergens and toxins. I told my friend that I felt like my breathing was better and later I noticed that some pain I had been feeling in my feet from wearing steel toe or composite toe boots was going away. Ok experience. It's was my mom's birthday and the salt cave was something she wanted to try out. The front desk lady was overall nice but had a very dry personality. Party of 6, we were able to redeem our groupons with no issues. Found out it would of been cheaper to book without a Groupon. Communication before the date was easy. The first time I called no one answered the phone and I didn't leave a message but I ended up getting a callback apologizing for the missed call. Lockers are available to keep valuables in before entering the cave and they provide locks. The cave was really nicely decorated. Soothing music plays over the PA and they also give you headphones that play calming music as well. You just kind of sit there and relax for 45 min. When your session is over water was available. There were a lot of customers so I guess it's a popular place (especially on a Sunday) and she was pretty busy being the only employee there. No one at the desk was around to say goodbye or thank you. Overall it was cool to experience but I probably won't return to this particular location. read more

The moment I had to sign forms we were asked to use the hand sanitizer before touching the clipboards and pens!?! Which I notice not one person after us was asked that and at least 2 people checked in after us. Not calling the race card, but we are both brown and just didn't except it at this so call professional place. My masseuse seem a little new because she kept getting her lotion belt caught on everything making so much noise and then she fell on her bum when trying to sit on chair. Shortly Covid 19 came and during such unprecedented times we were not comfortable having these services done due to being scared and just uncomfortable. I really reached out to the owner to to let her know I had purchased 3 gift certificates that had expired thinking since they were purchased there thst she would let the certificates be used due to everything thst has been happening around us. She flat out told me NO thst they had expired and I could not use them. It's her loss because had she been more accommodating and understanding she could have gained a faithful loyal customer. Not good business because not allowing the certificates to be used is her loss. I recently visited this place after my wife bought me some Gift Certificates for massage, salt cave & infrared sauna. The only negative was that in trying to call to set an appointment, I called a couple times, neither time getting a live person on the phone but instead being forced to leave a message. That being said, the woman who called me back was polite and cordial and was able to get me in later that afternoon for my massage. It's a beautiful spa, located in Frankfort in a large strip mall with Walt's/Starbucks/Subway. It's a lavish interior and you're immediately greeted with high end decor and beautiful amenities as you walk in to a welcoming and well appointed waiting area. The woman who took care of checking me in was polite and explained my masseuse; Kate, was just finishing up with a client but would be out shortly. The massage room was spacious, roomy & beautiful. Candle-lit with dimmed lights and polished concrete floors and my therapist Kate was outstanding. Tiny in stature, but excellent in getting all my knots out, she did a wonderful job and I left feeling refreshed. My massage was great; the therapist really took care of me and focused on what I asked her to. Sadly customer service does not seem to be a priority at the Royal Salt Cave Spa. From the moment I called on phone - Laura, the manager as she so proudly told me, was extremely rude, short and argumentative and actually encouraged me to seek out another facility for services which I promptly did. I will NEVER give the Royal Salt Cave a dime of my business - reading some of the other reviews, it seems customer service is not a priority here. If you are OK with rudeness (especially on phone when trying to make an appt and ask some questions) then this is the place for you. From the moment I called to schedule the appointments, I saw that there was great customer service. We both had a 1 hour massage by Abby. I have had many massages over time but I honestly can say she gave me one the best massages I ever had! This business did not allow an extension for beyond 5 weeks because they were "safely open" for all but 5 weeks during a global pandemic. I am immunocompromised so sadly what is considered safe for this business is not safe for me. They refused to do any extension of the package that I purchased. My husband and I were in DESPERATE need of a massage. So I called to make an appointment and get a price. They were running a special: a massage, the sauna, and the Salt Cave for only $99. So we went with that. I started with the salt cave. The receptionist told me that my husband and I would not be able to do the salt cave together..so he got his massage...which I didn't understand, because I had the entire room to myself??! There are 12 chairs in there...strange. Then she said, that we didn't have time for all 3 areas in one night,that I'd have to come back for the sauna, and my husband had ho come back for his salt cave experience. Again, it just didn't make sense. IDK if I'd do the salt cave again. I know, you have to come in several times for the real benefit.. Next, my husband went to the infrared sauna. He said it was 45 minutes of dry heat..and it helped his sinuses. My massage therapist was Anne, and she was AAAAMAAAAZING!!! She listened to my needs and worked on those areas. You get 50 minutes of pure calm and relaxation. My husband had her as well...he was pleased with her, too. I will definitely come back to Anne for a massage!! read more

This hidden little gem is a sanctuary! A good friend of mine took me here not too long ago for a yoga class inside the salt cave and have been coming everyday since. I injured my back a week ago and have been experiencing some major low back pain. Monika gave me the best massage and super insightful life tips! I did have massages here. Front desk is SORELY lacking. They don't answer the phone. You can leave a message but they will not listen to it. They will just call you back and apologize that they missed your call. I understand if this is the case after hours, however one would expect at a decent spa that a front desk person would ANSWER during business hours.
