When he eventually arrived, my wife (the passenger) asked about the delay and why he had not called. The driver said 'he was only 5 minutes late'. Then he spent another 5-7 minutes charging the credit card with tip included even before the journey started. How can someone pay a tip before knowing how the ride was going to be? Never had an experience like this with other cab companies in metro Detroit and will make sure never to use this one again.

When I got in the car, driver asked for my CC, and explained they don't run the card until the actual ride and he didn't have my digits that I had entered online. I really don't want to expose my card to online hackers if it's for not and they're never utilized. Terrible and needlessly dangerous business practice. Then the driver asked how much the ride was quoted for online. This felt very shady, like if I wasn't sure, he'd charge what he wanted. Then the driver asked which DTW Terminal I was going to, which was also provided online when the reservation. I asked the driver whether that information was provided to him and he was just verifying. Nope. How could a reservation be made and the driver not have been provided the fare and destination details in advance? The minivan was beat up really bad and felt dirty. I actually thought Detroit Metro sent Suburbans/Escalades and the like. Nope. The driver actually hustled to the airport, so I think we made up the time he had spent running my credit card. Overall, UBER is much better from a convenience stand point, as well as communicating the trip information to the driver. UBER's cars are certainly at least as good if not better. I chose Detroit Metro for a better car and was very disappointed in the vehicle and found their overall process to be in need of a complete overhaul.

This is false advertising and a bait and switch. I talked to a representative on the phone, and they are well aware that their online system gives quotes that are way under priced, which just made me even more frustrated that it's a known issue that they are ignoring.

Always on time or early for your pickup. Drivers meet you at baggage and know your bag's carousel if you give them your flight info. 3) Vehicles are SUPER clean. No smoke, no grime, no moving your driver's crap around to fit your luggage like in Lyft/Uber. 4) Easy billing. 5) Great communication. Driver checks in day-of or day before your scheduled pickup. No need to hassle! 6) Various sized vehicles for single or family Trips. 7) Local owner! Family run business has been around a long time. We told her we would meet her and she said she cancelled their ride. They almost missed their flight and we had to rush them 45 minutes to the airport, William never ever initiated anything!! I had to ask for an apology, and here we are months later no refund. He said they switched companies and would try to process and every time I asked for an update nothing. Today when I notified him I would do a review and file a case to get our refund he said he will prepare his lawsuit against us. This is not a good businessman. He should have taken care of this that day to process a refund and calling us with updates. I have never written a bad review before but it is clear he has never had any intention of returning our money . How disappointing that there are people in business that don't know the word Customer Service and doesn't care we are out dollars. I see his responses never his fault with other clients who complain. Oh Canada how much I've missed you! After living in the south for the last 10 years my trips to…read moreCanada were infrequent. The Detroit Windsor Tunnel hasn't changed much over the years. Getting to Canada is a short drive under the Detroit River. It's the hard to believe the tunnel has been a daily underwater route since 1930. At its lowest point this 2 lane roadway goes 75 feet (23 m) below the river surface. It was always a treat to take the tunnel as a kid. On this recent trip (7-23-25) I met a few friends for dinner and some gambling after at Caesars Windsor. It's $8.25 USD to cross from Detroit and $7.75 CAD to come back from Canada. Make sure to have your passport or documentation ready as they check everyone at the border and being prepared helps expedite the process. It can get busy during weekends, holidays, and rush hour time but seldom have I ever been held up long at the border.

The Detroit/WIndsor Tunnels been around for a very long time and as a kid, this was our primary way…read moreto get to Canada whenever we went over the border. While things have changed over time like the fees and customs agents, the tunnel has stood the test of time. I remember as a kid thinking it was so cool to see the "welcome to Canada" flag once you got to a certain point. It's about a mile long and only one lane each way. Very rarely have we ever had back up traffic since I literally have crossed this tunnel no less than 100 times. Coming from the Detroit side, the payment to cross is now entirely electronic. no cash! Card only. I think it was $7.50 to get through. Eventually, you stop at the customs agent and they ask you what your doing over in Canada and for how long you'll be there. If they think you have something suspicious or don't like your answer, you get pulled into the customs area and searched. Prepare to be there a very long time! They do have a duty free shop here for alcohol and a few other things as well. I can't remember where to pull off for this side of the tunnel, but it's somewhere if you need to. No bathrooms available!!
