My husband took the morning off work specifically to be home for the scheduled consultation. EZ General Contractor canceled the appointment 20 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, explaining that the project was "too small" for them to take on. We completely understand that contractors need to take on projects that make business sense for them. What is difficult to understand is why this could not have been determined during the five days between scheduling and the appointment, particularly since we provided as many project details in advance as was allowed through their automated platform. The lack of communication and professionalism was equally disappointing. Our phone conversations ended abruptly with them hanging up on us rather than with even a basic professional courtesy. We will obviously be using another contractor for this project. More importantly, based on this experience with EZ General Contractor's communication, scheduling, and professionalism, we would not consider them for future projects, including larger ones.
