It's like a new house! Vinny and his crew did an amazing job laying new hardwood flooring in our home. We did not have a subfloor, so our existing floor sagged and bent as you walked on it, so we laid the new floor over the top, using the existing floor as a subfloor. It turned out perfect (and now we have a solid floor), and as you can see in the photos there was a lot of difficult cut work around a floor grate (access to the crawlspace) and a fireplace which is at an angle. They completed all the work (about 800 square feet with LOTS of doorways and small rooms) in just three full days, kept the work area clean as they went (since we were still living in it), and cleaned up completely each evening. HIGHLY recommended. I was fortunate enough that my neighbor used Vinny as well so I could see his work prior, so I tried to include some decent photos here for anyone else. I will also say that we did not know much about wood flooring when we started, so Vinny also helped us figure the best way to go (engineered or hardwood, what size slats, etc), which made us feel a lot better about the decisions we had to make. My husband and I recently did a bit of home remodeling. After our general contractor didn't do a great job on the drywall, we decided to look for someone else to install our new wood floors. We called Royal Wood and Vinny was prompt in coming out to get us a quote within a day, especially considering it was the week after Thanksgiving. Vinny was super knowledgeable about all things wood flooring, and also gave us great recommendations for how to care for the wood post-install, from what items to buy to protect our wood from our furniture to the best cleaning methods, Not only was Vinny cheaper than what our GC quoted us, I guarantee he did a way better job than our GC would have done. The attention to detail was phenomenal. He even noticed that Lumber Liquidators sent us 15 of the wrong boxes. His team did such a great job with the install, that we were also able to save the overage we bought for mistakes, which saved us about $1,000 in being able to return it to Lumber Liquidators. I needed over 500 square feet of wood flooring removed so we could put down carpet. The wood flooring was up against a tile floor. Four flooring companies told me it couldn't be done because it was up against tile and it would certainly crack and chip. I called Vinny and he came out to take measurements and look at the floor. He took time to examine the floor carefully and told me they could do it. He explained the process, the tools they use and how long it would take. I read all the reviews and looked forward to working with Royal Wood Flooring company. I called and was told to call another person for a quote. Once I called the other person no answered saying Royal Wood Flooring. And when we set a day for them to come out for a consult I was told to text my address to the CELL PHONE number that I called. The day before the meeting I got a text saying he will try and make it! Which I questioned! The next day an hour before meeting time I got another text saying that he could not make it he is sick. This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences that I have ever had. No one answered the phone in a professional way. It may just be that I am old school (in my 30's) and expect that when doing business that we make contact by phone calls not text messages like teenagers. read more

Royal Wood Flooring did an amazing job with the original floors in our 1908 Craftsman. We have both a hardwood downstairs and a softer pine upstairs. Vinny and his team knew exactly how to treat both types differently and they turned out amazing after refinish. We even brought Vinny and his team back a year later to do a repair job on the pine. He was able to special order it, fix the broken support structure underneath, and get as back in business in little over a day. I contacted Vinny about repairing and refinishing the original wood floors in our 1930's office. The floors hadn't had anything done for at least 13 years and suffered some termite damage. He responded immediately and was able to get me a quote within 2 days of initial contact. He was able to schedule the work around our schedule and do the work on a 3 day weekend so we wouldn't have to close our business. I witnessed an employee of this company threaten my neighbor after she asked him if he was dumping commercial waste into our private residential dumpster. His work van had not been seen at the complex previously, doing any sort of work. He began screaming at her and then yelled that he was going to "get her". He then threatened her vehicle and property. She tried to explain to the man that there has been a lot of illegal dumping and residents were told to keep an eye out, so she was just asking. He replied with a stream of obscenities and said "just wait, you will find out." My neighbor seemed unfazed by his actions, but I am concerned. I contacted the office number on the van and was told that he would be called into the office and it would be taken care of. I was later contacted by Royal Wood and told that the man had been suspended for a week. Three days later, the same man in the same company van was back at the condo complex. Clearly the representative/manager I spoke to lied in an attempt to placate me. Royal Wood Flooring lacks integrity in their hiring practices and in dealing with the public. Any business that would knowingly employ a man that threatens women with physical violence, while driving their vehicle and representing their brand, is not a business to be trusted. I recently had Royal Wood Flooring do a 2200 sq foot install in my new house. To be honest, I was super nervous. I've had floors installed from one of the big companies before, and they were great, and I paid a hefty sum for them. Right off the bat, Vinnie made me feel reassured about the competence of his company and installers. He was really nice and gave me a quote that beat out EVERY single competitor by thousands of dollars. Once again, I got nervous. I ordered wood floors online, after talking to Vinnie about the square footage and underlayment, etc. that I needed. My floors came in, and Royal Wood was immediate in their response to my scheduling request. The installers showed up EARLY! Javier was such a good installer, he literally looked at every piece of flooring and found any with marks or finish defects (it was from an online site and I paid $2.40/sq ft so I was expecting this) and he set them aside. I ended up using these in closets, and thanks to his keen eye and impeccable attention to detail, I literally ended this job with 200 extra sq foot of flooring! Way more than enough to also do my bathrooms. The guys installed baseboards, worked with the trim pieces I had (they ended up warped and they still made it work), and were very punctual and respectful of my house during the install. I could not be happier and I could not recommend this company more highly. Then I found Royal Wood Flooring on backpage.com, and spoke to Vinny the owner. He visited our house within a day or two to measure the floors, and his price came in super reasonable. We purchased all of the materials for the project at The Floor Store in Mesa, and had them delivered to our house. A week later, Vinny and his crew arrived to install the new flooring, and all I can say is "WOW", they simply did a fantastic job. His team installed about 1000 square feet of engineered hardwood flooring at our 1940's house and the finished product looks amazing.
