This is definitely one of the more awesome antique shops I've been to, mostly because the building is an antique in itself! This pretty little shop is (obviously) located on the Roycroft Campus, in a building built in 1904 and designated as a Furniture Shop during the Roycroft era. This antique shop shares space with Norberg's Art & Frame Shop. Though the building looks pretty huge, most of the antiques sit in one average room (they take up less space than you'd think!). There's a good variety of things here. They've got anything from large pieces that would make a great contribution to any antique collection, or refurbished home decor, to my favorite cheap finds, like postcards, political buttons, and picture prints. From what I could tell, everything was fairly priced for being antiques! I was pretty much alone to explore the shop, though I had a brief glimpse of a gentleman who said to let him know if I had any questions - before he totally vanished. (But I'm sure if I needed him, I could have found him in the building somewhere.) I know I'm going to find something awesome here one day. We came here on Festival Day, and it was a great treat. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We made arts and crafts print on an antique press, watched craftsmen carve. Capped it off with frozen custard, vanilla, which we ate as strolled around the booths. read more

Great little antique store in the heart of the beautiful and historic Roycroft Campus. You'll be sure to find all sorts of vintage and antique odds and ends in the place. It's not a vary large store but it is packed to the brim with goodies. Pay close attention or you'll certainly miss one of the many cool and exciting treasures it holds. read more

Not a very big place however they so have some very interesting antiques. This is not your typical Antique store, they actually have antiques in it. I heard someone walking around upstairs however was never greeted by any employee nor did I see anyone the entire half hour I was in the store. read more

Always an interesting selection of items, including many old/new pieces from Roycroft artisans. The items don't seem to turn over too quickly; some things are still sitting there from the first time I visited several years ago. That's sort of surprising, because the prices generally seem quite fair. Although the service isn't always attentive, the staff knows their stuff and can answer questions about most of the pieces in stock. read more

They were honest about quality and cost, and sold me a GIA registered diamond. My wife loved the ring so much, we returned for our wedding bands and diamond necklaces for the bridesmaids. I've since returned for a "travel" wedding band for my wife, and my father has also bought jewelry from TAG. I would recommend TAG to anyone for any jewelry purchase. There is not a lot in the store, but they will tell you this keeps down their overhead...and thus their prices.

He asked if I could wait two weeks as he wasn't certain he had the correct materials. Turns out he pulled off both pairs in two weeks and the service requested was completed with a high degree of quality. The value of having it done local is much better than shipping the boots back to the manufacture for warranty repair as well. I wear my boots everyday and walk a lot so it was important to me that the service requested was done correctly and quickly. He was able to accomplish the job on both.

BUYING NEW SHOES IS FOR SUCKERS…read more Why on Earth would anyone throw out a pair of old shoes because the soles had worn when the Village Cobbler can fix them for you for dirt cheap, and possibly even improve them? I brought in a pair of Merrill hiking boots I use for work. I love these boots. They're comfortable, lightweight and have a Gore-Tex liner in them. I have had them for years, and the soles where run down so thin that everywhere I walked you'd swear I was walking on banana peels. Village Cobbler was able to removed the stock soles and installed for me -- get this -- rocket power boot soles that allow me to fly around like Iron Man. Ok, they don't sell rocket powered boot soles, unfortunately, but I did get Vibram soles installed for $50. Not a bad deal, right? More importantly, they look and feel great. I was so impressed with the work that I immediately dropped off another pair of boots for another re-sole job. I plan to drop off a third when there finished as well. So, for now I will scratch the rocket boots and stick with the Vibrams.... At least until my FAA license for rocket boots gets approved, and I can afford to pay off the loan on my coffin.

This is the second time I've used his services and will look to him again if needed.

We used Martyn Printing for our wedding programs. They were designed based on the Elm Street Bakery…read moremenu, on tri-fold Kraft paper, ~5"x 5". 120 in all. Very rustic and chic looking! Printing it ourselves would have cheapened the look of the design, which we had professionally commissioned a graphic designer to come up with. After receiving quotes and time frames from various other printers in the area, Martyn Printing was by far the most reasonable and best to work with! I called one printer a few weeks before the wedding and he told me he could have them to me the day before the wedding -uh, no thank you! Weddings are stressful enough -last minute print job would have scared me! I worked with Lynda -she was great. She had super quick turnaround, both for quotes and samples and the end product itself! All happened within a few days. Guests admired the programs -they were printed on heavy Kraft paper. Very high quality looking -far better than the other samples we had received from other vendors. Martyn Printing was even able to use the exact paper that Elm Street Bakery uses, as they are a client of Martyn Printing! Fantastic! Highly recommend! This time I had LOTS so I thought I'd give it a try. This business is unusual in that the business operates out of the building's side entrance. Parking is adequate, especially since the turn over rate here is surprising. I was met at the door by two very friendly employees who explained how this system works. They do everything. Just hand them the bags and stand back. The system operates so quickly that I was just barely able to keep up bringing bags in. The system is totally automated. Once the workers empty the bags into the sorting area everything is automatic. It's really amazing to watch as the bottles and cans are arranged and processed to a conveyor belt that takes them away. Everything is counted by computer. When finished, you're given a ticket that you take to a window where you are paid. Start to finish, 779 bottles and cans were processed in 6 minutes including getting paid I will never go anywhere else again.
