    He charges too much just to come out and look at the appliance for 2 minutes then say that it'll cost more to fix than buying a new one.

During my…read morefinal week of employment, I was informed that I would not receive compensation for any outstanding spiffs--manufacturer-paid incentives tied to product sales--on orders that had not yet been completed. Without these spiffs, my effective earnings during my final month were reduced to approximately $11 per hour, despite generating significant revenue for the company. I also left behind numerous open orders that required substantial time and effort, for which I will receive no compensation. While I have nothing but positive things to say about my colleagues and the local management team in Green Bay, my experience with upper leadership was deeply disappointing. There is a strong emphasis on a "family" culture and supporting employees, yet this policy results in employees effectively working without full compensation at the end of their tenure. I understand that the policy regarding unpaid spiffs is outlined in the employee handbook. However, the existence of a policy does not necessarily make it fair nor reasonable. In my view, such a significant compensation detail should be clearly and explicitly communicated to employees at the time of hire. Had I been aware of this policy earlier, I would have made different decisions regarding my employment timeline. "Van Vreede's - Why Shop Anywhere Else?" For those who value how a company treats its employees, this is an important question to consider.

We went To Gmack Appliance after first going to Best Buy where we waited 20 minutes for someone to help us and then left when noone came. At Gmack Appliance we were immediately greeted by Jonathan when we waliked through the door and he was very helpful. We worked with him and Karina to purchase the washer and dryer and schedule the installation. We live in Door County and were very pleased that they were able to do the delivery and installation within 3 working days. Overall, it was a great experience and we will shop there again in the future.

We buy local as much as we can and help the family owned businesses and try to avoid the big box stores whenever possible. Unlike most family owned businesses in the area, they are not interested in helping serve the Green Bay community - in fact, I really don't know what they do. I walked in after numerous attempt to be there before 5:00 only to find the doors locked. When I walked in, I saw the exact refrigerator we were interested in - I was a for sure sale. The older gentleman was rude, uninterested, leaned against the back counter and answered by questions with one word answers. I left disappointed and embarrassed for them!
