I figured that the slow oil leak finally gave out with the cold weather and the gasket blew in the engine. I honestly figured I would be scrapping my car today. After walking over and talking to one of the mechanics, Jerry. He told me to pull my car around and he would check it out for me today and give me a call if it's fixable or not worth it (I told him I didn't really want to put money into the car). He said they were super busy today but he will squeeze me in. Once I got there he asked if I could hang for a few min to diagnose the car and checked it out immediately. After lifting the car and checking everything they realized it was a clogged oil filter. It was so clogged that oil wasn't passing through and some of it was leaking everywhere. When they removed it I think a few of the guys got covered in oil (I kinda felt bad to be honest but they all laughed it off). Because oil got everywhere they also proceeded to clean underneath my car with some foam stuff and then ran it a little to burn what was left off. They were incredibly funny, helpful, patient, personable and honest. I spoke mostly to Jerry and the gentleman inside at the register who was also amazing. Even though I live 30 min from here and they helped me in a pinch, I will definitely bring my car back if anything else goes wrong. Service was incredible.

He was also willing to honestly educate me and explain the issue without acting like a shady businessman that lies by omission. My car has not had issues for the past several months thanks to Fran's diagnosis and the work of his employees. This review would've been a five star if I didn't have to deal with his son on the phone. His son called my cell phone number multiple times to tell me that my car was fixed and hung up immediately before I could ask questions to verify. I traveled twice only to find out that the son mistook someone else's car for mine just because it was the same make and color as mine. Fran recalled which car was my car because he could tell me what state my license plate was from. Thankfully Boston is easy to traverse thanks to the public transportation, otherwise I'd be even angrier for having my energy wasted for a car that wasn't even mine.

I'm headed for the Cape, live in NH. Some place that has tires to purchase. Got recommendation and waited for truck. Called destination, but they had no tires my size (Mazda 6), wait until Monday. Can't. It's a Friday, and while I have a place to go on Cape or home, either is a drive, but no car. Called around to other tire places in area. Same response... no tires my size. After a dozen places, finally called DR. "Oh yeah, we have that size. Come on in." "Two???" "Yeah." Amazed, but this was only place that said they could help. Tow truck driver heard of them. "Good people," he said. Arrived. Immediately put car on hydraulic jacks. Tires off in 5 minutes. Took them in and replaced with "like new" tires. Done in less than 45 minutes (waited longer for tow!). Price: $160 plus a bit more for credit card. Was at Cape before dusk. Footnote: Car went for state inspection a month later. Tires passed. "Like new" was apt. This was an emergency and they came through. Patronize these guys! Recommended 100%.

I'm really frustrated so I'm telling you so that everyone doesn't have the same situation as me. The situation is that my car has some scratches, I want to repaint it. When I met the owner, she quoted 1200 to repaint the scratches and said that she would polish the car and guarantee that all the scratches would disappear (there was a big scratch and a few small scratches and she said "don't worry, I'll do it cheaper for you so you can introduce customers to me, when I'm done, I guarantee that your car will have no scratches left, I'll make your car really beautiful for me to advertise) and she said I could bring the car in the next morning and pick it up that afternoon. And I was allowed to go to the office to do the paperwork, after I paid the 600 deposit (on the receipt it said "Paint around car"), they said there was no schedule for the next day, I could bring the car in on Friday morning and pick it up on Saturday afternoon 4 pm. Talking outside, it can be done immediately and finished in 1 day, but when starting to do the paperwork and pay the deposit, it will take 3 days to do it and it will be done in 2 days. Yes, I agreed because I didn't need the car urgently and didn't rush them. With the appointment written at 4 pm on Saturday, I could pick up the car. Everything was fine until 4:30 on Saturday, they texted to say the car would be available at 6:00, then around 5:30 they texted again and said the car would be available at 7:00. At exactly 7:00, I came to pick up the car, but they said 7:30. Finally, I received the car at 8:00. But it didn't end there. After receiving the car, the small scratches on the car were still there, and there were more small scratches around the car, and there were many, many small paint scratches that looked like there were many small stones hitting them. (My car is black and the scratches are white). After I talked to the shop owner, they said it happened before. then. they are not responsible (at first the conversation and the results were not completely consistent) they absolutely do not take responsibility for this matter. and the owner's child said "I am responsible for the paint, but I don't know about the other places, your car is an old car but you used a flashlight to shine on it and wanted to make it look like a new car (my car has about 24,000 miles, and it was almost 8:30 pm). while at first they said to fix all the scratches and make sure the car looks like new) when I got home, I just started to check the 24-hour dash cam that was installed by the car dealer. then I found out that during the time my car was at the repair shop, they used my car to do personal work.. to summarize my frustrating story, when I went to repaint my car, I did not bargain or bargain about time or money because I wanted my car to be done as well as possible. The price was given by the shop owner, the quality was stated by them and the time was also set by them. money was they took enough time to reschedule 3 times, but the quality is terrible. let me ask if anyone encounters the same situation as me, will they speak up or stay silent. everything I said has messages and pictures to prove it.
