It was a bit tricky as it was between a block wall and the swimming pool, and we didn't want whoever felled the tree to damage the wall or the pool. He and his team showed up first thing in the morning on the scheduled day, worked quickly, thoroughly, and expertly to remove the tree. You can tell when a team works well together, and Roy's team certainly did. They cut some of the smaller branches for firewood and hauled away the rest of the tree and branches. I first contacted Roy through the portal in Yelp and got pretty quick feedback with a fantastic price so I was ecstatic but skeptical despite having provided him with pictures of the job. I took it as my low bid and collected two more. Those prices were much higher. I considered it, but since I had to paint my house saving a few bucks was important. I (at this point) was texting directly with Roy. It took him up to a week to respond. He's give me a short Window to get the job done and by the time I responded he was 'booked'. This went on for a month or more. I went back to his reviews and see that he's not that reliable, and he underbids the job and upcharges upon arrival. Be very careful. I conversed with Roy over the Yelp app which made things very easy. We worked out a time and day for him to come by and do the work asked. He stated that it should take a couple hours do get done. On the day of the appointment, Roy and his team showed up early and were ready to work. That was a pleasant surprise and many businesses now and days are late or slow getting ready. I needed an extremely large pine tree in my backyard cut down because it was too close for comfort next to a power line/telephone line. I received several quotes from different tree companies to have a palm tree removed from my front yard. Roy came in with the best quote, and I scheduled removal for the following week. The crew arrived on time and prepped the area for falling debris. In a very short time frame, the tree was gone and was loaded on a truck. The workmen then ground the stump. However, before an employee used the specialized equipment to complete the stump grinding, he set up a protective barrier around the area to keep passing people, pets, and vehicles safe from flying debris. The area where the tree had formerly been is now perfectly level. You can't tell a tree had ever been there. They cleaned up the worksite perfectly. It was a large job consisting of: trimming an overgrown ficus tree from ground level to 8 feet above my house, removing two date palm trees and grinding down the stumps, removing 4 African sumac trees and grinding the stumps, and trimming back overgrown oleanders from above roof level to 5 feet tall.
