We revisited this place on Saturday with some friends to see this cover band, The Camera Eye, for Rush...and they were so good, I think I'm now a Rush fan (like my husband has been for years). It was good to see that this place is still hopping. The place looked about the same (a bit worn down, of course), but many more bar chairs and tables than in the distant past. Think it's been at least 4 years since I've last been here? WOW. Although I haven't been here in a while, I've always loved this place. It's spacious with several levels...and has such a cool, comfy vibe. Also, the light show and the sound system is really good! I also thought the bar service was really quick. Despite the huge crowd, I got served right away! Not sure if they still do raves, dance parties and special shows like they did in the past, but I remember some of the best times here. After seeing the stellar cover band this weekend, I'm thinking that this place is a keeper...and I hope to have more good times here in the future!

Parking was a challenge because I didn't really understand where we could park. I originally parked in the lot across from the nearby hospital until a staff member told me they tow very regularly. The staff recommended parking in the lot directly across the street. I appreciated that while we were waiting in line a staff member did an ID check which made things smoother when doors opened. The Visulite theatre provides water for free and had a few tables and chairs which is a luxury I really appreciated. You're allowed to bring food into the venue and I saw quite a few people with Viva Chicken from next door. Seating is first come first served seating but my wife and I were able to find two seats. The ambiance is a cool vibe and my wife and I loved the disco ball in the middle of the theatre. The concert itself was very nice and I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. The staff was great and the other perks mentioned above is definitely enough for me to want to come back and see someone else in concert.

I parked on P2 and the club validates parking at a reduced rate at $7.00.

The place is a bit grungy and retro, but had a good, clean sound system. We saw the concert from the second floor, where they had these stools. Great view, but the backless stools were about as uncomfy as they could be! There was only 1 bar downstairs...but the bartender did a great job. I never had to wait more than a minute. Overall, this is a good, little band venue...and I'd love to drop at least 4 stars, but I felt that they needed a bit of renovation. Adding decent stools on the second floor, for starters?

The amphitheater really does not have a poor spot in the house. There's also lawn seating as well! If you're going to a popular artist, you may be competing with the taller folks standing - to be expected - but overall great seating options. There's plenty of parking if you plan to drive, especially if you arrive early. Definitely worth it as you can walk right over from your spot and it's pretty easy to head out. Parking for events is typically $20. The security procedure getting in is also quite efficient. Make sure to check the bag policy before coming in. If you have assigned seats it's worth it to stop through VGBG to wait out the line, plus they validate parking if you're looking to have a meal before the concert. And if you're looking for other food options there's plenty within walking distance. Just check the days and hours, as concerts during the week may not have as many food options. The amphitheater has really nice restroom facilities and a few options for food and drinks. My friend and I really liked the cocktails - the watermelon tasted like a jolly rancher. They also come with their own cups, which you can bring back later for a small discount on a refill. The drinks are quite expensive, which is to be expected for onsite concessions. The Fillmore is also a notable venue, as it is really intimate and cozy. It was great because you can see your favorite artists up close. So happy that Charlotte has great venues for artists that I love. Looking forward to coming back again and again.

It's so rare to go to a business and see anything familiar so this was truly inspiring. We stayed for about 30 mins because we got there right before they closed. It was fun to explore the hotel rooms and just be in this dope energy. I didn't have a full cocktail, just sipped and tried a few of my friends. I can see this being a great date night spot, or some where to go to unwind and just catch the vibes. I wish it was bigger but it's a cute spot for sure!! I wast lying when i said little earlier this place isn't very big but it has a cozy comfortable feel. Reasonably priced drinks and country music makes for a nice place to belly up and have a few cold ones after work. I haven't been to see what it is like late night, but as I was leaving in the late afternoon it was starting to fill in so I'm guessing like the rest of the area it comes alive after dark. I believe it is the same owners as QCBC next door so you can order food from there as well. If you walk by one day your curiosity will probably tell you to check it out like mine did. Listen to your intuition and try it!
