Such a cool cool coooool venue. I've known this spot to host a variety of events and I'll seek out the calendar for The Evening Muse for sure. I was there an intimate acoustic concert for a band that I love and have seen numerous times but this was the first time like this. There were rows of chairs set up for this concert with some standing room in the back and at the bar. The bartenders were nice and quick and remembers drinks which was a nice touch. As soon as the concert was over all the chairs were removed and the stage was set for the following band of the night - there is always something going on here. I'll be back soon for sure.

We came for a Stoplight Observations acoustic show and the ambiance was everything. It really leveled up our experience. The venue is small and intimate. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the bar service is quick and efficient. I thoroughly enjoy seeing shows here!

Monday night is open mic night along with a featured artist. There is a slight cover charge. The venue is small and intimate , it holds approximately 60 ish people. Performers wanting to perform pick a number out of a box to determine when they will perform, so it doesn't matter if they are there early or not. The owner, Don, is extremely personable and knows a lot about music and bands. We were especially excited to be there since our son routinely performs there on Monday evenings. He performs under the name Low Groves. The bartenders were exceptionally nice. A great intimate venue.

Hands down, our favorite venue in the area for live music. The acoustics are great, the staff attentive and friendly, but best of all the audience is there to enjoy the music, not talk loudly amongst themselves for the whole night. Ticket prices are reasonable, and the bar offers a nice selection of local beers and mixed drinks.

Super intimate setting. Surprised to find seats taking up most of the floor space. (Seating for about 70) Also surprised by the age of the crowd. I was not, per usual, the oldest dude there. Great sound system Great selection of local beers. Easy access from 36th street blue line station. This might supplant the Milestone as my fave.

The location, music and venue itself is great. The problem with this place since I can remember is they harvest a culture of being too exclusive. It has a vibe that doesn't match the live music feeling you want. They are excellent at turning people away and not making you feel welcome. Went to a show last night and as people crowded to get in the majority walked away after talking with the doorman. Charlotte needs live music so bad and it's a shame that a place that's been around for so long just doesn't get it. Overall I can't recommend the place due to the negativity surrounding this place. It's just weird.

The Evening Muse has been one of the best music venues that I have visited! Visited for one The Arcadian Wild's first concert since Covid restrictions lifted and I'm super glad that I made the trip down from Greensboro. The venue restricts to probably 100-150 people tops and, this specific concert, included a couple rows of chairs with standing room in the back. I will most definitely be back whenever they hose artists that I listen to or are up my alley. The price point + the intimacy factor makes it one of the best concert venues and is a must check out for those who enjoy live music.

Intimate, good acoustics and a full bar! Parking in Noda is a pain but we knew that beforehand and opted on the paid parking beside wooden robot. Plenty of space and $13 for 3 hours wasn't bad.

An independently owned and operated local music venue! Support your local music scene!! Went here for the first time to see James Lastra perform his first professional gig. This is a great venue for local artist to perform. It seats about 80 and they have enough room for about 40 additional SRO. Most of the staff are performers themselves so they are ready to assist with your equipment set up. The acoustics are great, the atmosphere has a very funky vibe to it. They have a full service bar as well.

The ambiance early in the evening is relaxed outdoor seating needs to update the benches they're not comfortable and the woods starting to warp but, decent music, and a solid cocktail menu. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. However, as the night progresses and the vibe shifts into more of a "clubby" scene which ended up being a perfect combo but let's talk charges.. feels steep for what's essentially a modest venue without standout features. Drink prices were high like the cover but not in a way that reflects upgraded quality or service. For the area, there are other spots offering more for the same price or even less but with cozy comforts and inside seating, nicer facilities so it's easy to find things not to love if you come here to support a DJ friend like I did than pay the cover and mingle. It's not a bad place by any means, and the early lounge experience is definitely a highlight followed up with the banging DJ club scene after...it's just the paying premium rates for a relatively average experience for me.

What authorities did he had? That's an insult to a female. Should this place hire a female guard for female as well? Someone is wrong with those guys. They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. My date and I both love jazz and this spot was recommended to us in passing. I am so glad we listened because it was absolutely amazing. The vibe is swanky and super cute. There is a hostess at the front who seats you based on your ticket and yes you buy your tickets online. I saw some available on third party sites but we purchased directly from the Middle C Jazz website. The venue itself is intimate. I would say maybe 100 people fit comfortably. No matter where you are seated you can see the stage. There truly is not a bad seat in the house. Some tables are reserved like the couple celebrating their anniversary who were seated right in front of the stage. We were off to the side but the view and sound were still perfect. When you arrive you stand in a short line and then get seated. If you are a party of two you might share a table with another couple which I did not mind at all. They have small bites you can order and there is a little light on the table you tap when you are ready for service. I had the crab cakes they were okay and my date had the sliders. I also ordered a glass of wine and everything paired nicely with the music. And the music... wow. The band played for about two hours and they were incredible. That night was a Stevie Wonder tribute and they absolutely delivered. I hear different bands play each night which makes me want to come back again and again. It was my birthday weekend but we were mostly there for the date. Still it felt like the perfect way to celebrate without even trying. The sound, the atmosphere, the intimacy, everything was so cute and so well done. Parking was easy. There is metered street parking or a garage right behind the building for ten dollars. You can either pay inside the jazz club or at the pay station. Just a heads up the pay station does not take American Express so if that is your card of choice handle the parking payment inside. This was honestly one of the best nights I have had in a long time. The music was fantastic the venue was beautiful and the whole experience felt special. Anytime someone visits me in Charlotte Middle C Jazz will be on the list. I cannot recommend this place enough.
