I've never been there for anything other than my worker's comp case so I no longer know who works there since the various name changes. Dr. Anis whom I call Dr. Anus for various reasons was a horrible doctor. Dr. Peña is a straight up a-hole! That guy has been passed around to all the Soledad clinics. I refuse to ever see him again! I made a complaint against him on how he treated me and made me feel and nothing was ever done. I never even got an apology from Dr. Slater at the time when he was head at Mission HealthcareCenter, nor did he respond back to me. I told him in person and in writing and I was just dismissed. I was glad when Dr. Slater retired, but was hoping all the others would be gone too! I pray they have better doctors now in 2024.

Apparently, I should've read the reviews before setting an appointment at this terrible place. They treated me like absolute garbage. I have a bad back & bad feet. I had 3 appointments after waiting over a month to get in. I'm in incredible pain daily just to walk because of my feet. The Dr acknowledged my feet issue but never gave me the referral he said he would. They asked me so many times about getting vaccines and didn't like no as an answer. I did a X Ray on my back and the receptionist not the Dr called me to give me my results and in the most u professional way possible said the Dr said there's nothing wrong with your back. That is a lie as I have had multiple injections and the nerve endings in back burned off years ago & my back is heavily documented but rather than request my medical records they lied and said nothing is wrong. To be completely honest I felt so uncomfortable in there with some of the receptionists and especially with the male Dr there. The disrespect I was shown felt racist to me. I also asked at the end of every payment if I owe anything and they said no every time and then all the sudden I owe them $111 for absolutely nothing. Thanks for the terrible service I was provided and for making me feel like garbage. I highly recommend going to any other medical facility than this place. The lady that did my X Rays was the only person who treated me with dignity and respect. The Dr is a disrespectful piece of trash thinking people are just going there for meds which is not the case for me. It should be considered malpractice for not helping me at all and forcing me to suffer even longer. I can only imagine what other patients have been too or if this facility has been sued for malpractice. They're not there to help only to take your money and dignity!

I had called 1 month in advance and scheduled it, with the receptionist aware that I had cough. She had me get my COVID-19 test results, which I did. I called again 2 weeks prior to my appointment and asked if it was ok once more letting her know I had a cough. 1 day prior I called again for reassurance that it was ok for me to come in even though I had a cough. I stated I had my results testing negative from that Monday and was going in Friday. I have had 0 contact with anyone outside, tested negative, and was denied service due to my slight cough because of allergies that I've had for the past 3 months. Literally have an inhaler now. She even said , yes come and called my ?mother? to ask if I could please come in and bring my insurance card the next day. I arrive. I was discriminated, with no cough that day, and without even viewing my test results. She asked for my name and said "we cannot attend you here". When I asked why and if there was any way to get another pair of glasses seeing as I go to college and my insurance only covers in certain locations like this. She said let me check, went inside and gossiped (I could hear it all) and came outside to tell me in the exact tone "we cannot attend you here". I understood seeing as its there right to deny service anyone. So I waiting in the parking lot calling other locations to schedule one there. She stood outside for an hour. I had one hour long research and calls. She just stared at my car gossiping with a friend while looking in my direction... There was no reason to have discriminated me, and gossiped in front of me as well as behind me. I drove 40 minutes there and 40 minute back to my town for a denial of service with no reason whatsoever, and an incredibly unprofessional staff. Won't be going here for any appointments anymore. I came to get tested after calling they said 1pm appt. Showed up minutes before as courtesy for paper work but no. Checked in , 15 min later paperwork .. rushed paperwork. Also I know its hard to talk with masks but she wouldn't even look at me as she talked she asked me so low like if she was expecting me to hear her perfectly. As a retired RN, I am on high alert with any medical care facility. My sister was in aother…read morefacility in Salinas an extended period of time while we serched for somewhere closer to scottsvalley. The smell, the poor staffing, bad food, and no 'licensed' care givers continued to get worse. Divine intervention arrived and my sisters condition bumped her up to a level where skilled nursing was necessary. Salinas Memorial transfered her to Eden Valley Care center even farther away from family. The difference was extraordinary. The staff are trained, care giver to patient ratio is above state requirements. There are cleaning staff and laundry staff so that the CNAs are free for patient care. There are LVNs and RNs in house. The food is tasty and a good balance of nutrition, and there are physicians, social services, and specialized services available within a short period of time. No waiting months if the patient needs to be seen. The environment is cheerful and there are caregivers taking pts. outside to the garden or sitting for a visit in with a pt. in the open areas. The young men and women are compassionate, attentive, and response time to a call button is within minutes. Thankfully my sister is now recieving the excellent care she deserves. Having endured the other "assisted living" place in Salinas, which was heart breaking, gave us the comparison and appreciation of what we now have.
