It's 5:15pm and my daughter is home alone. I get a call from my wife that a car is in the driveway. I call my neighbor that was working at home. She had to stop working and went to talk to the roofer that said he had an appointment with me at 5:30. I live by my calendar and I did NOT have an appointment. Some telemarketer gave RRG my address and they were waiting in my driveway while I was at work. The roofer had my phone number, but didn't even call me. I tell him on the phone to email, but he insists on coming back next week. His 1 and only text to me was "Don't waste your time." so I'm passing this on to all the other future customers... Don't waste your time. I have talked to many roofers, and he was second to worst with customer service. I went thru my doorbell cam recordings and found the guy. Why didn't he just call me?! You can see the phone in his hand, and he has my number... Edit: look at the company response. This is their customer service. Maybe they will learn from this experience, call/text the next customer about time of meeting, and treat the customer with respect. The project began within two weeks after signing our contract and was completed in two days including installation and cleanup. This is an addendum to our original review. RRG started our roof job 7/8/2024, and finally completed to code 7/16/2025, only after the involvement of North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. RRG entered into a consent agreement with the Licensing Board to be reprimanded and pay cost recovery on November 14, 2025. RRG didn't honor our paid-in-full contract, smeared us, and lied about our complaint when they thought there would be no accountability. Shameful ethics for a company who claims to pride themselves on taking care of their customers. Caveat emptor. read more

Please choose any other company to go to. When Nick Francis came to do the inspection and give an estimate, he was great. Very professional and courteous. I paid the percentage needed up front. When the job went over to Ashley, she was communicative and keeping in the loop on delays due to rain and other unforseen factors. They came out to fix my roof, were up there for a few hours, and then were done. When I later went out, I noticed that the roof was raised in one spot and bowing in another. I reached out to Ashley who said "Received thank you. I will create a case for you. I will let you know as soon as I can get someone out there". They were able to get the 2 who had originally come out back again the next day. When they came, and I went outside with the gentleman, they saw the problem immediately and the older gentleman who was here last time temporized by saying "We didn't have plywood last time, so we did the best we could. We have plywood this time, so will get it all fixed up.". That upset me a bit, because it sounds like they knew they did not do as good of a job as they could have the first time. I reached out to Ashley about this, and her response was "These guys that I have sent are good and thorough. It was my fault for not having them prepared properly. With the work order I had we thought the only possible decking would be the small spot from the satellite. We definitely don't want to short cut or leave any work done incorrectly." So I let them do their thing. They were done much quicker the second time, and when I went out to see it, they had replace much more than they had the first time. There were also still dips. When I asked about them, I was also told by the roofer that to get rid of them, and 8x4 section of roof would need to be torn up so the plywood could be put in. Ashley said she would talk the them about it. That interaction was on June 4th. I heard nothing back until I reached out again on June 12th after having received an invoice to my email stating the job was complete. I asked if the job was considered complete and received this response. "I apologize for not responding earlier. So the repair is complete. It is the way the roof is built that it looks a little un even. We would have to replace a good bit of wood to make it look completely flat." None of the rest of my roof is uneven or has dips. On June 18th, I was called about the invoice and asked to speak to a manager about this issue. Andrew called me, and we discussed all that I have written above, and he asked that I send him pictures. His response was the following: "In both of those photos, the dips in the roof carry on up past where we replaced shingles. That is an existing decking dip. Not due to any rot or installation errors, rather spacing between rafters. It is more noticeable because of the new shingles." I replied with: "I am not able to see the dip in the other parts of the roof personally. I would like to ask for a discount on the remaining balance if possible. Having to go back and forth, and having people come work on my roof above my office twice, was a lot." I received no reply for 2 days. When he finally reached back out, he asked what I thought an appropriate discount would be, I stated 35 percent. Since now I had a roof with dips that they were not going to fix. His reply was: 35% is not a fair and appropriate discount. The facts are that we sent all of the appropriate materials, nothing was incorrect. As I stated on the phone we replaced decking all where it was necessary and satisfactory to the scope of the contract. I'm sorry for any inconvenience you had, but the second trip was in an effort to appease you and lessen any visual dips. It will never be non-existent because of the existing framing and age of the structure. We have made every effort to satisfy you for a minimum repair charge. For an additional effort to resolve this, I will discount your project $100. The condescension was palpable. I replied with this, again repeating what had been told to me, in writing, by Ashley and ended with: So, the appropriate materials were not sent out the first time. The second trip was to fix the first trip, not to "appease" me. His response was: The only bad decking accounted for per the contract was where the satellite was, which was sent out and replaced. I am offering a discount on work that was performed per the contract. Is this satisfactory? I responded with by again reiterating what I had already told him and Ashley about what the roofer had said. This was June 20th, and I never received a response. Until Yesterday July 9th when I received a Notice to Lein in the mail. When I asked him about it, he responded with "You have an outstanding balance you are refusing to pay on a contracted repair job.". I never once refused to pay or made any hint that I was going to refuse to pay. Not one time. I would run as far and as fast as you can from this company. read more

However, left a dangling wire behind the house and told the account rep, Drew, as he stopped by to collect the final balance. Promised to take care the issue the following week but no-show twice. Be careful and make sure all your pending items are taking care of before forking over your final payment. You probably will not see these guys again... Update: RRG contacted me right away after the above comments was posted. A crew show up right away within the same day and politely took care of this unresolved matter. It's good to know that RRG takes pride in maintaining and uphold their reputation and be responsive enough to do what's right. There is probably not enough space in this review to tell how a chimney leak repair and new "gutter shutter" and chimney cap installation went. The fact that our initial meeting with their representatives was on a Friday the 13th in September might have been a clue as to how things were going to go. The men that came did a good job of selling the company and we signed contract to have chimney leak repair, new gutters and chimney cap. The amount was not little but we thought they would be the experts and get the job done right. Ha! An estimate of three weeks was given. They were to do repairs for leak and a new chimney cap, then gutters to avoid ladders bending gutters getting on the roof. Well, they said they were coming to do gutters first thing on Oct. 3, then the morning they were to come, the truck had no brakes. Said we'd hear from them by Friday. No call. Truck was in shop for some time and then on Oct. 23 they were coming to do leak repairs which included a cricket being made and other leak repairs and replacing a metal panel that the first inspection revealed had two holes. The men came and supposedly fixed everything and when they left they acted as though all had been completed. Too bad for them, my husband has a drone and it showed they had not replaced metal panel with the two holes that they had brought to our attention in first meeting. We called and their excuse was that they only brought one panel. The men doing the work never mention that fact! Finally on October 30th they were coming to do the gutters. Four men showed up and started to work. Did not take too long and the job was completed. They asked us to inspect. Oh my gosh, in over 30 places they had used a screw that was too long and protruded through the fascia and was visible under the eaves. Their excuse, that never happened before! If only once one of them had looked underneath to make sure about their installation. Their only thought seemed to be to hurry and get it done. And we thought they were the professionals! Well, they couldn't fix all that day. They'd have to come back with shorter screws for second hole in bracket and then putty and paint our messed up fascia with all the unnecessary holes! On November 6 they came and tried to fix all the blunders from just not pay attention to their installation and to install chimney cap that had only been finished the day before. Oh my goodness, almost the next day they were wanting their remaining money. Jesse came on November 12 to collect final payment. He got quite an ear full about our experience with RRG. All he could say was he was sorry. That night we had a terrific wind and rain storm! Our leak was STILL there! We were not happy campers. Called and told RRG. It took them till December 12th to get back and 3 men and a supervisor person came. They were supposed to do water test. They were not up there very long. My husband tried to tell them where he thought the leak was and I'm not sure they spoke the language. When they came down it was clear that they had only caulked and when my husband asked did they put metal roof foam in questionable place, they said they used the old. My husband was not happy after looking again at drone footage. We had paid for all rubber foam to be replaced. Finally today, December 16, they sent the original men with whom we had signed the contract. Jesse and Andrew went back up on the roof and removed the transition that was to have rubber foam for metal roofs under it. There was NONE! The previous men had lied. Andrew admitted that was their fault. After applying the required rubber foam, another water test was done the right way this time and it seems that maybe things are fixed. Also a messed up gutter was fixed that a workman had bent by stepping on. We are glad that hopefully we are finally done with RRG. We will see after a good rain storm. Our take away from this experience is that RRG has some good people but not so much the ones that actuality do the work. They were guilty of showing up without the right materials needed on truck and trying to make do. (Who shows up to fix leak on roof without caulk?) They were guilty of not always being truthful about situations. Communication between customer and office could be a whole lot better. The 3 weeks turned into 3 months of aggravation, frustration wasted time and sorrow that we ever called them in the first place. This review is just to make others know that all their work is NOT 5 star, not even close! read more

Johnny with RRG roofing came out and took the cap off the roof and noted no leaking and showed me pictures of cobwebs and that it was dry. The attempted to simulate a heavy rain to see if water was getting under the cap. He did suggest getting better ventilation to help with possible trapped moisture read more

Josh made an emergency visit to us being here within two hours of calling them and I had never done business with them before. We had water coming in through our kitchen ceiling during one morning rainstorm. Our leak turned out to be a humidifier problem connected with our HVAC system in the attic area....not the roof. He suggested that while he was there he may as well have a look at the roof to see what kind of condition it was in. Took numerous photos showing where we had hail damage. They worked with our insurance company and made a visit at the same time with the insurance Adjuster. Our new roof was just finished yesterday and it looks great. read more

My mom lives in Blue Ridge and has a shop with a metal roof. The sky lights had developed leaks and RRG came out and gave her a reasonable estimate to take the skylights out and replace with metal roofing and also insulate the ridge vent to keep moisture out especially when there is snow or ice. Jesse was the roofing professional that came and gave her the quote. He arrived on time, did a thorough exam of the problem areas and presented my mom with the scope of work that was needed to solve her issues. We were pleased that Johnny, the production superintendent, was able to schedule our job sooner than was expected and on the morning of our appointment, Mikey , Michael Canon, showed up right on time and got right to work. He was a very pleasant, professional man and took care of our roof. I also want to say the whole experience from our first contact with Desi Ray to schedule initial appointment to Ashley welcoming us to the RRG family to Cimmarron answering some questions for me when I called, was a very pleasant experience. This was not a big job, but they treated us like it was and took excellent care of us. It is refreshing to see such care taken to make each client feel important. After sustaining tornado damage to our cabin in May, we contracted with RRG Roofing. The contract stated specific structural carpentry work to be done to repair damage. RRG requested, and was given, more money over and above the original adjuster's estimate to cover this damaged area. However, the RRG "carpentry", and I use the term loosely, was substandard and would never have passed an inspection. (RRG didn't pull a permit for this job, although one was required by the county for structural work.) This substandard work, which for brevity purposes was new lumber sections not being scabbed in or attached in any way, was pointed out to multiple RRG people the day of the roof job, including the crew leader, project manager, and the original salesman. Pictures were also provided multiple times to multiple people at the RRG main office, including the Warranty specialist and the Production manager. RRG was also notified in writing of all deficiencies, including this. RRG refuses to address this issue, although it was documented in the same photos as other significant issues they have addressed. The sales manager, whose name had been given to us several times as the person who could work with us on this issue, flatly refused to do so. This job was paid in full, and we had faith that RRG would stand behind their work and address any and all deficiencies. read more

Charged $500 to apply caulk to the roof that took them exactly 10 minutes! A roof inspection done a week later discovered that the leak was caused by a roof boot which RRG didn't replace so they didn't even fix the leak! Called RRG and they said $500 is what they charge for roof caulking and they would not adjust the price even though they didn't even fix the issue. They are just price gouging because of all the rain we have had lately. They are dishonest. Don't use them! read more

A video was taken of the roof while they actually walked on it to inspect the condition. There was a demonstration of the roofing products and a history of the company was given. Very professional. I was given many options of Owens Corning products and warranties so that I could choose which would be best for my needs. There was no pressure. For me there was no question that I would hire this company for the job. The installers arrived on time and did a fabulous job. The workers were polite and seemed very happy. (Happy employees equal happy customers). The property was respected and they cleaned up as if they were never there. Everything was done without a hitch. A follow up inspection was done to make sure there were no concerns. None. I could not have been more pleased. The quote RRG provided for a roof repair was $4,100. The day of the repair the repairman called to inform he was on the way and the job would only take 2 hours. I contacted RRG to have an itemized breakdown for the quote but only received a list of items for the repair with no prices for these items. The job was completed in one and a half hours which calculates to a $2,733 an hour rate. I am a senior citizen and I feel I was taken advantage of and seriously overcharged. read more

The roofing company(Roofing Resources of Georgia) looks unethical and they charge $18K to replace the roof and most of it is just normal stuff that any roofer would have used, Also they are trying to put Lien on my house, they go to collection agency and price gouging. It looks unethical what you are charging on me. The Invoice says that I need to pay $4043 for upgrades, They never provide an estimate they take the estimate of insurance and copy as it is. Also no email communication between the parties. For example I see price of $721 for drip edge but it will cost not more than $200. Never ever sign a contract with this roofing company. Also they damaged my board on my deck and the vent stack is not in place. Never ever recommend roofing resources of Georgia to any of your friends or family members. read more

We have a large hole in our roof with wood rot, water damage and mildew within the house as a result. We had Roofing Resources of GA to help us out. They did an inspection and noticed multiple issues with roof that needed repairs. We eventually wanted the repairs and entire roof reshingled. However, after MORE than TWO MONTHS of waiting for replies and multiple excuses from them, such as "we're working on it", "we'll get right back to you", "sorry, forgot about it, I'll get right back on it", etc., We were fed up and unbelievably frustrated with them. Considering we waiting so long, we had continuous water damage going on, and a pest control company waiting on RROG to do their job, we couldn't take anymore irresponsibility and unprofessionalism from them and moved to a different roofing company. This was just a shame. I certainly do not recommend using RROG for your roofing needs based on my poor experience with them. read more
