A top-notch accountant came through big time and helped me out. All I had to do was mail the form to Fresno (IRS regional office) and in 10 days it was supposed to arrive. Nada, zip...and my deadline was looming. I finally decided that face-to-face was needed and stopped by the Reno office late last week...big crowd but the guard/crowd control officer, who runs a tight ship, saved me a ton of time and energy when she asked what I needed. She told me that the transcript request system was down, all the way to Vegas. So, I returned bright and early Monday morning. Yes, there was a wait, but after an hour or so it was my turn. I was helped by a cordial IRS staffer and had my documents in hand within 5 minutes. Victory! Pro Tips: They open at 8:30 AM but if you want to be first in line, get there before opening time and wait outside. There's a little concrete planter you can sit on. The office is ground level in the big bank building across from District Court on Virginia/Court St. Most lot parking is 30 minutes only so opt for street/metered parking. Bring your quarters; 15 minutes per quarter. Don't bring in drinks or food. Don't cop an attitude, and you will be treated well. Get a number, input your info on the touch pad, and sit down. Quietly. Violators will be called out. No public restrooms so arrive (and stay) dehydrated. Bring a book to occupy yourself. Be smart (unlike me) and don't go to the IRS right before tax season

Their Press Releases on their website are well-written (FAR better than Reno PD or Sparks PD press releases). I have no complaints. Make us to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong, and never to be content with a half truth when the whole can be won. WCSO has stepped up to help out Veterans. WCSO is now on the front lines of fighting to reduce the staggering and horrifying number of Veterans who daily succumb to suicide at the rate of more than twice that of non-Veterans. In 2000, WCSO recognized the special burdens of alienation and terrible toll Veterans carry from their military Service and created Veterans Barracks to house up to 60 male Veterans. Program includes the addition of Veterans' familiar resources from the US Department of Veterans Affairs and Veterans organizations. WCSO staff works to help Veterans in jail get out of jail and stay out by acknowledging their military Service and building programs centered on Veterans' shared experiences. "The ultimate goal is to reduce recidivism amongst our Veteran population in Washoe County," said Sgt. Andrew Venn, who is part of the Inmate Management Unit at WCSO. "We bring in very specific targeted programming just for those Veterans, so the classes they'll have available, for example, anger management, domestic abuse, substance abuse, and parenting are four major ones." Yesterday, on sat, my friend found her cat by following his cries only to find him in the tip top branches of a very tall tree. He couldn't get down. She was almost hysterical at her Esa animal in that predicament. She called the local fire dept and 15 min later she had 5 firemen at her door. They took the time to crawl onto the 2nd story roof and use a tool to pull the branch to them, then they threw a blanket over him and brought him gently back down to her.
